So I have been to many a small town grocery since I grew up in a nonexistent town. This store is…read morereally a hub of activity and the people are great. After living in the city I had almost forgotten how the small town patter goes. But on to my review... the store is small and you can always get a feel for the town and its demographic by what is in the store. The first time I came in I was not super impressed they had several areas where it was like wait where is this or um ok I don't think so. But I have learned especially in small town stores to go back a couple of times before you make a decision. So I did and the areas that I had been questioning had product rotated out and new stuff stocked. The first time I went in was before a truck had come in hence the lack of product. So the bread area is a little small, and some of the things that I was used to being able to get in the city are not there. Not too big a deal as they can order somethings. The meat section is fairly impressive and produce is pretty good the majority of the time (and if something is wrong they actually take care of it) but the wall of cheese is something to behold. This is the type of cheese wall that you would expect to have in a specialty market with everything from regular cheese to vegan cheese (is that even real cheese?) and imported cheese from everywhere. This wall runs about a quarter of the back wall and is just wow.

A taste I thought was long lost buying meat in large chain stores where I live. I would have rated this a 5 but could not not purchase Clorox spray. But it is understandable this smaller store may not stock everything, or perhaps run out of items at times. I will definitely be stopping here from now on.

Passing through on an unplanned detour. This all has to do with their biscuits…read more Actually camped the night at the Stratford rodeo grounds down the street. Stopped at this Pilot to fuel up. Went inside for a coffee since it was about 5:30am. Near the check out they had a variety of breakfast items in hot streamer trays. Which they served into a white styrofoam "to go" box. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs. The young man that served it up asked if I wanted one biscuit or two. Looking at the size of the biscuits I said one. He said are you sure? The price is the same. I still went with one. I went out to my van to enjoy my breakfast and coffee. I don't know where they get their biscuits. They taste homemade. The gravy was excellent too. I regret not getting that second biscuit. LOL Back home in Las Vegas, Nevada I joked with my wife. Someday we are driving there just for Biscuits. At a truck stop no less.
