My friends and I went to make a purchase and were denied due to one person in the car not having their ID on them, even though the Texas TABC regulations state that only the buyer needs to produce a valid government ID. Not wanting to make it a big deal, I left and came back by myself only to be denied my purchase once again. From the official Texas TABC website: (see photo attached). I am leaving this review to help ensure every employee at Eskimo Hut knows the regulations according to the TABC, and to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.

I was on my way to the Palo Duro Canyon and this one was along the way so it was a perfect one to stop at and fill up since I was nearly on fumes. I like the fact that you can use credit card and the price isn't higher than if you use debit card or cash. That might be the norm for Amarillo but it isn't another sections of the country. The pump was easy to use and I had no problems period I didn't have occasion to go in the store or deal with the clerk since I had no problems with the pump so I can only speak for the convenience and ease of the equipment. If I lived in town I'm sure I would get all my gas from the Murphy stations.

I usually buy them at the dollar stores but I didn't happen to pass by any. I saw this Walgreen and figure they'd have to have something cheap. I had to do some looking to find a bag that wasn't $3-$5 but I finally found a small bag for $1.60 that had a decent amount of Menthol in them. If they don't have over 5 grams of Menthol they don't really work. The ones I bought had 7.5 mg. As long as I was in there I grabbed a couple more pralines to take back to California with me. They don't sell them there and I really like them. The clerk was young and lackluster. Then I hit the road tracing Route 66 again.

I don't think I had ever been in this location before but when I didn't find what I was looking for…read moreat Family Dollar I thought maybe it was at Dollar General that I had previously bought it. Fortunately this one was right across the street so I decided to go ahead and check it out. It's a pretty full store and like other Dollar Generals, not everything is a dollar. In fact, most of it as more than a dollar. I found what I was looking for and a few other items to boot. The clerk when I was checking out wasn't very friendly. Update: Taking away one star. Later that evening, nearly midnight, I was looking for something in my bag which I hadn't unpacked yet and there were at least three items in the bag that I did not buy, yet there they were and I was charged for them. Two ugly smelling vanilla candles and a gigantic jug of some sort of chemical laden fabric spray. Definitely items I would never have purchased. They must have been laying on the counter waiting for someone else to buy them or perhaps something a person decided against and left on the counter. Either way, it was not my fault. I set my items on the counter under the lit open sign only to have the clerk say "I'll get you over here." Not "I'll ring you up or you can pay here." Just "I'll get you over here." He picked up my items and moved them to the other counter then rang up my items and the ones that weren't mine and I didn't realize they were in my bag. Now I have to drive all the way back over there at cost of gas money which pretty much eliminates my savings by going into a Dollar General Store. I'd be willing to bet if I take them to another Dollar General they would say I had to go back to the one where I bought them. I might try the closest one anyway. This is so irritating. It's bad enough when a store charges you the wrong amount for something or accidentally hit the button twice and charges you double. I've had that happen more than once here in town and other places as well. But to put things in your bag that you didn't even pick out to buy and cause you the time and inconvenience to have to return them is really frustrating. Perhaps they should check their employees to make sure they have an IQ above room temperature before they hire them.
