One criticism i do have is the lockers dont have a locks on them so you have to bring your own lock or buy one. This is slightly annoying! The changing rooms are clean and the booths are perfect for changing / getting babies sorted out! The price was a not too bad, for all three of us (2 adults 1 infant) it came to around £12 which i shouldn't complain at all in all not too bad

I wouldn't bother personally but it depends what you are using it for. I personally went for the swimming pool but found it to be quite filthy and i once felt terribly ill after using it and so never went back. Whether it was the pools fault or not i don't care, i'd rather trek uptown to Oasis and take advantage of their larger cleaner pool. The changing rooms are terrible whilst the gym was actually okay. Lots of machines and staff on hand to help out. As a cheaper alternative to the expensive chains or for those that can only train infrequently it may be of interest but for the dedicated trainer i'd choose the soho gym up the road.

They have communal changing rooms with sectioned of private changing rooms so it's really great for families, but also gives you privacy of you don't want to change in front of everyone. A large sports hall has different activities at different times but I usually play badminton though you can join things like a 5 a side league. There's a well equipped gym upstairs. All available for a fraction of the price of one of the posh chains. Another cool thing is that they offer discounts to hospital staff. If all you need is a sports facility, the Rainbow Centre will meet your needs

If they bother to get back to you about any concern you might have about the facilities they will be completely inflexible and unhelpful. They know if you leave they have plenty of other users with little to no other choices. The recent refurbishment has been badly managed with a much smaller choice of equipment spread over 4 floors in 6 different spaces! Even at off-peak times there are queues for equipment because much of it does not even work. Complaints fall on deaf ears and management will not even entertain reducing fees due to the reduction in services. Their only suggestion they can offer is to cancel! They really do not care about the community or their members despite the headlines on their website.

I like to come early on a Saturday morning (provided I haven't been out too heavily the night before) as it's usually pretty quiet and you can get a good pace in the fast lane without hitting too many people's heels. The changing rooms are also big and clean although my favourite thing about the pool is that it's near enough to my house that I can stroll home for a post-swim shower.

It also has a number of indoor courts for volleyball, badminton, basketball, 5-aside football etc. The changing rooms are kept very clean with alternate wet and dry rooms for swimming and other activities. The facility is free for soldiers and their dependents and other discounts are also available. It has excellent opening hours to suit everyones needs. Due to 50m pools across the country being categorised as national assets, swimming can sometimes be disrupted by school swimming sessions, but this is a small price to pay for an otherwise fantastic facility.
