My mother found beautiful art supplies and some adorable Scooby Doo socks for my sister (my sister loves socks). My sister said that she had the best birthday ever! When we went back to the store to try to return or exchange the air mattress we did not receive, the girl at the customer service counter called for a manager. The manager Tia was immediately rude and decidedly unhelpful. She told us that they did not do returns or exchanges on air mattresses, despite there being a sticker on the air mattress boxes saying it could be returned if it was unopened. When we asked if she could look up the item number in their system to see if it had been previously returned because there is obviously no air mattress in the box, she told us that wasn't possible and that there was nothing she can do and I would just be out $100. She was condescending and unprofessional throughout the entire interaction, at one point even calling me "sweetheart". I will absolutely not be shopping at this store again as from Tia's attitude, it is obvious they do not value their customers or care that through their negligence they are effectively stealing from customers. Don't expect any help from customer service and especially not from Tia. I hope someone from Walmart sees this review and is able to asses the situation accordingly. I've had some negative experiences with ordering subs on the app for pick up!! My wife went to pick up our sub order and it wasn't ready when specified, and they tried to convince her to take someone else's order!! She finally got what we ordered. I spent 5 days in the hospital, and the first thing I was craving was a Publix sub. I ordered on the app and when I went to pick it up, No sub. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they were slammed so I went out to my car cause I was still weak from 5 days in the hospital! I went back in 15 minutes later and STILL no sub. Now I'm getting frustrated because I'm weak and Hungry and I went back out to my car and 15 minutes later I went back in and guess what, NO SUB! Now I'm pissed! I went to the Deli and there were 2 more people waiting for called in subs. I was hot! I approached the first person I saw and I expressed my situation to her and she jumped right on it! I had my sub within 5 minutes and was on my way!! The Publix associates I've dealt with have always been cordial and listen to what I had to say, but the problem that I and anyone I told of the situation have agreed they are short handed!! I normally bag my own groceries, that's not a problem! But like Wal- Junk, Publix has jumped on the self check out band wagon! I thought they would be the ONLY ONE that didn't buy into the customers doing their job for them. But I was wrong!! I don't mind bagging my own groceries, but the Deli is in NEED of more help! Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. I tried their Fish Basket, which featured the the fish of the day, tile fish. Though I've never tried tile fish before, I have no doubt that Wild Ocean has perfected how to cook it. The fish was steamy and freshly fried, perfectly golden without being overcooked. The hush puppies were also perfectly executed - not hard or crunchy like they can often be. While I wanted a little more kick to my tartar sauce, I appreciated that there were a variety of hot sauces to use at the condiment station. Next time I'm in Titusville, I can't want to try more of Wild Ocean's offerings!
