How disappointing to find at the end of a meal that Tony's doesn't accept VISA Debit GIFTCARDS. The server said their "equipment" just declines all gift cards and when the Owner came out, he just laughed at us and said, "nope, our 'machine' rejects such cards. So if this is a known factor, why hasn't it been corrected? What if I didn't have cash to pay for our meals? This incident put a damper on the meal and I know I would never go back. read more

I was told they have 'great ribs' but I found them to be unremarkable but memorable. The taste, nothing special but chunks of charcoal burnt food in the sauce layer was hard on my teeth and left a bad taste. YUK!!! The salad bar is phenomenal but identifying dressings and salads would have been helpful. 'Loaded Baked Potato' included with my ribs but server neglected that it would be a $ .75 upcharge. It had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp after with the cheese melted and recongealed. Potato was very dry and tasteless even with 2 fake butter, a sour cream, liberal sprinkling of salt, pepper along with the congealed cheese and bacon bits. Ate less than half. My dining partner loved their 12" sub, said the bread/bun was delicious. It was my 2nd time eating here. I'll probably go back again when I'm in the area or traveling through but definitely will order something different. read more

I eat here at least once a month,the food and service are fine, we pick up my wife's sister at a nursing home and bring her here as it has easy access. We were seated in the back section. There is tile, the chairs are heavy steel and are very noisy when moved, three employees were wrapping silverware at an adjoining table, their chatter and noise of the silverware made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation! read more

Fairly priced for average food. Salad bar had a lot of options and was good. Family all bought a different sandwich and waited over an hour. None of them were very impressed. Expansive "salad" bar. What I mean is you can make your basic vegetable salad and then there's the toppings and other "salads." For a vegetable salad you must like/love iceberg lettuce or you will be disappointed. There really weren't as many vegetables as I'd like to see for the price of the salad bar (alone $9) and I really don't like iceberg unless it's wrapping a breadless sandwich or a meat appetizer. The "salads" included things like the jello/whipped topping/fruit pieces, whipped topping/crushed cookies desserts or were pasta/mayo, chicken salad/mayo, etc. Soup is not included on the salad bar which really makes the price begin to escalate. My meal that was a grilled chicken breast, a no topping baked potato, and the salad bar came to $12. Did I mention bread is not on that salad bar? You get 1 roll and if you want more they are 25 cents extra. The chicken and potato were great but I think it's not THAT good. There is a HUGE display of tropheys (with a pig on top of each) and part of the decor is bottles of BBQ sauce. Must be some sort of BBQ is a specialty???? Would not have known. If so, needs more FOCUS on BBQ. Waitstaff was prompt and courteous--that's a bonus, but still only 3 stars. read more

What a cute small town restaurant! I was recently was visiting my in-laws in Indiana and we were lucky enough to stop in at Tony's Restaurant. The owners are really friendly and the place is very clean. They have a pretty extensive salad bar (especially as far as Midwestern standards go) but their ribs are to die for! Have you ever eaten ribs with a fork?! Well, this was a first for me! The meat just fell of the bone. They were so delicious and they have a lot of first place trophies to prove it! Tony's is a Findlay staple. Food is decent and prices are average, maybe a little too high. Came in with my two boys for lunch before visiting with family. The kids meals are great. A entree, side and drink for less than $6. I ordered the blt with a one trip plate to the salad bar. Service was good, waitress was very nice and friendly. Food is good. The boys loved their lunches. My oldest got the Mac and cheese, not homemade, it's Kraft. Which is fine because sometimes you never know what you are going to get with Mac and cheese. Their fries are the best, very crispy. My blt was good, but all of their sandwiches are a la carte. So you need to add a side, I added the salad bar plate. The salad bar is interesting. Huge bowl of very finely, extremely wet iceberg salad, with a small bowl of spinach. Would like to see some spring mix. A few veggies, was hoping for peas and mushrooms, didn't have either. Had a few salads to chose from, but they looked very heavy on the mayo that nothing really jumped out at me. Made a small salad and put some of the 3 bean salad and what I thought was potato salad, but was egg salad. I'm not big on salad bars. And could of cared less when I read the reviews about the salad bar. But once I was there I was impressed and actually tried it. They have more than just the tradional salad bar. They have EVERYTHING. Potato salad, macaroni salad, broccoli salad, other interesting options that are very good. The service is sometimes a little on the slow side but they are usually very busy so it's to be expected. The BBQ chicken is moist and tender. Baked potatoes are huge. Ribs are equally good. I've been to this establishment many, many times before, but unfortunately the last couple visits have been less than quality. We ordered a takeout ( a sub and pizza) and my husband become drastically ill (stomach issues: use your imagination) about 2-3 hours after consuming his sub. We haven't ordered one since. Just this past weekend we ordered a salad and a plain baked potato. We got home and un-wrapped the potato...it was chopped in half down the middle (so we know whoever cooked and packaged it saw it) and was all BLACK inside!! Very gross and disgusting...a waste of money since we had to throw it out. Will be difficult to return. read more

Best fall off the bone ribs I have had in my life and I have ate a lot of ribs in my 61 years, also their salad bar is to die for ,the only draw back is that you are only allowed one trip to the salad bar, which is usually enough because the plates are. of a dinner plate size,so one trip is usually enough. thank you Tonys read more

Being someone who appreciates good BBQ, I had to visit Tony's based on the locals' prodding. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in their ribs, which was a surprise considering they have the word "ribs" in their store markings. Based on the large trophies on the top of the salad bar, one would think that BBQ is a serious part of their business focus. With regard to the ribs, they looked beautiful on the plate. Once you cut into them you can tell they are overcooked (they fall off the bone), previously frozen (pink meat near the bone), and boiled beforehand (bland meat flavor). The sauce is good, and is a clear, sugary glaze (not my favorite, but a really good interpretation of the style). I would also like to comment on the salad bar. The iceberg lettuce is finely chopped, like that which would be found on sub sandwiches... And maybe too over chopped even for that. The rest of the bar contains fewer options than other restaurants with regard to the actual salad; however, there are additional sides that aren't found elsewhere (they seem to have a lot of options that include whipped cream in the ingredients). The locals seem to really enjoy it, but it's not to my taste. The interior isn't what I expected from the description of it being a BBQ rib joint. Pretty sterile, and not much character. The wait staff are really friendly, quick in their step to work and serve the customer. Pleasant place to visit; but I would suggest going for something other than the ribs. read more

My wife and I came here for lunch. There's many choices on the menu but the prices are very steep. All the sandwiches, burgers, subs, etc. are ala carte and fries are an extra $3. The fries are the same ones you would get from GFS or Sysco so not worth the price. The salad bar is $10 for unlimited or $6 for one trip with a meal. While the salad bar is robust with choices, the flavors were bland. The bean salad tasted terrible. The double cheeseburger was tasty but again, nothing to write home about. The fried mushrooms were plain and $4. Now the good. The pizza is spectacular and if you're going to spend your disposable eating out income here, spend it on the pizza. It is really wonderful. I've put 12 inches down without a problem. Good lunch stop but stick to the pizza for the best bang for your buck. read more

I was visiting Findlay and needed to host a catered dinner for 30 people and Tony's came highly recommended. Golly, was I impressed! They were extremly easy to work with in creating the menu and the food was fabulous. Everyone was so pleased and very complimentary on the food. The food arrived on time, it was fresh out of the oven and ready to serve. I highly recommend Tony's as a caterer for small groups or even graduation parties, they will not disappoint. I'll be sure to stop in the restaurant on my next visit to Findlay! read more

High key disappointed. First of all, walked in and it said ben roethlisberger ate there and I just don't believe that so false advertisement FOR SURE. And get out of here with all the tony Stewart bs looks tacky. I have to agree with the more negative views here. I too noticed when I went that the salad bar was almost all cream substance based and the lettuce was turning. If you main selling point in a place is the salad bar then you have to take more pride in it. Service wasn't great and everything being ala carte is pretty dumb. If I order a sandwich then fries should come with it, even a pickle or something. They need to accent their stuff a little better but maybe this is why the price reflects the food. One of the most unprofessional things I have seen here was the alter that was set up for Ben Roethlisberger. Understanding that football is a huge deal in my life as well it needs to be taken into consideration that this is a place of business and should not be so biased to one player (especially a player with so much negative media about a sensitive subject). Making it a sports bar or grill would be fine for the owner but the support for all NFL teams would be needed. Anyway, off of that subject. Parking was okay and the seating was fine. I went to Tony's to get a pulled pork sandwich to go and there was no barbecue sauce on it. I'm not sure if they only treat their dine in customers right but I have had better pulled pork sandwiches made from the stuff you buy in the tubs at the grocery store.
