I was driving down St Paul looking for a coffee to grab when I noticed the sign for Di's. I had a…read moredouble take and noticed it was a pizza shop. After a lot of subpar slices around the region, I was a bit hesitant but when I saw hand pulled soda, I had to drop in as I was curious. I dropped in and looked around. Cool looking spot and they offered a few different slice options. There was a what looked like vegan option which was sauce, garlic and I assume olive oil. I asked about their most popular slice and they said the pepperoni. Looking at the slice it, I definitely wanted to try it. It was cup and char style pepperoni. They asked if I wanted it reheated, I said yes and in no time I got my slice to try. I grabbed a seat by the window and looked up and down the empty street. I took a bite and yup, best slice I've had in the area in awhile. I will admit the slices are way more expensive than most places at $6 but it's a substantially larger slice and higher quality. Would come back to try some other slices or grab a whole pie. I didn't end up getting a hand pulled soda but will.

Our initial choice was closed, so we figured we'd give Di's Pizza Pies a shot. The place was minutes from closing down for the day, but they did have a couple slices of Pepperoni ("Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Battistoni Cup and Char Pepperoni, Pecorino") left, so we ordered one each and waited as they were heated up. I was a little skeptical as the slice was handed to me, as it looked a little pathetic and super dry. My worries proved to be unfounded as it's a delicious slice of 'za. (Would it have been better fresh? Of course.) The plentiful pepperoni is the big star here, as it's flavorful and irresistibly crispy. The rest of the pie complements it quite well, and though I was expecting to only eat a few bites, I wound up scarfing the whole thing down in record time. If I'm ever in the area again, you know I'm going to stop by and order a whole pie.

We had dinner here last night - a Friday - this was our 2nd visit to this restaurant. We did have a…read morereservation which I would recommend, they are pretty busy. Beautiful, beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere, soft music, amazing service by Juan our waiter. We started with Caesar salad and the bruschetta appetizers - Boyfriend's salad was very good. I liked the capers and strong hint of anchovies in the dressing (which he always has on the side). Bruschetta was not what I expected - I felt it was missing something, not much flavor - although the bread was super fresh and tomatoes perfectly ripe. As mains he had the Americana pizza (pepperoni) and I had the lamb, served with a citrusy risotto and rapini. I loved the lamb! Highly recommend. It was literally so tender that I didn't need the knife to cut it! We asked Juan how the cook made it that way - he wouldn't tell and said it was the kitchen's secret! It was delicious. Risotto was perfect too. I'm not a fan of rapini but it was well cooked and seasoned. Boyfriend regretted his choice a little, although he says his pizza was good - but after tasting my lamb, he was sorry he didn't choose a meat dish. I had a shot of Amaretto on ice and the cannolis for dessert. Delicious and obviously homemade. I was a bit put off that a bus boy pulled out our appetizer plates while we were still actively eating. Hint, if our forks are in our hand and we're bringing them to our mouth with food on it, we're not done yet :/ Not the first place this happens and a pet peeve of mine... but whatever. Also, the couple with 5 kids... 5 kids omg... maybe this wasn't the best restaurant choice for you if you are going to let the two small ones run wild around the dining room and almost hit a waiter with a tray of drinks... but this isn't the restaurant's fault. We will return! Worth it just for the amazing lamb, and a short 5 minute walk from the Doubletree hotel, if you are staying there!

They started in Brampton around 1998 and now have 55 locations throughout Canada. This location is very small with two tables (4 people each) and counter seating for 3. We ordered the following: 1. Butter Chicken pizza slice ($5.00). 2. Fish 'n' Chips Combo ($10.99). The pizza slice was OK in taste. The slice is about 50% larger than you would get at other big chain pizza restaurants. This slice was put in their oven for a few mins to warm up and then cut into 3 slices. The Fish combo consists of one small piece of Haddock, fries, and a bottle of pop. It was cooked to order. The fish didn't taste the greatest. The fries were plump and crispy. They forgot to give me ketchup and utensils for the combo. They never have tartar sauce; the owner said people don't usually ask for it. He offered me a dip for free, so I chose the Creamy Ranch. They had a plastic knife but ran out of plastic forks. The owner apologized and personally went somewhere close by and got a wooden fork and knife for me. There are many electrical plugs with USB ports in the seating area. They didn't have heat on in the restaurant, so it was cold. It was also a rainy day, so they was no sunshine to heat up the interior. We had to wear out coats. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is free parking in the mall's parking lot. Review 2024-232
