If I could put 0 stars I would. I called this guy Tony which I now think that isn't even his name now. He came out last week to my home on Tuesday Aug 19 2026 and I explained how my air conditioning system was frozen he immediately asked where the access to my attic was and I showed him in. He went in there and I asked if I could stand on ladder to look at my attic because I'd never seen it he said yes that's fine I did and he was taking unit apart told me it had flooded I gave him some towels to dry. I observed him cutting up wires and putting these little colored caps on the tips then he told me the mother board was out and the unit had tripped and something about a transformer. But that the hvac furnace might still be under warranty so naturally I was very hopeful. He told me before he came the inspection and quote was free and so I was very pleased to work with him initially but he took off with parts to my furnace (that I wasn't even aware of and the promise to return Friday Aug 21 with updates on the warranty and to continue repairs with parts required. He never showed up to appointment I waited to msg him thinking he's probably really busy. No reply. I called and nothing. He is no longer responding. I had to call 2 reputable company's to see if they could fix. Firsto e said they could not move forward because someone had tampered with the system already and was missing parts to my surprise . The second said that the unit had cut spliced wires that any HVAC service person with true knowledge would have never done such a job and that may have even triggered the unit to trip the transformer that powers the furnace. The missing components render the unit useless with tampering voiding any warranty and they recommend full replacement because of this. TONY is a scammer and the worst kind of human ruined my home and now have $10,000 in damage that he caused. He is even doing services without a license which I have found out doing research. Please save yourself the grief contact an actual professional that knows what he's doing. I read more

I called for a service appt yesterday and in less than 24 hours my heater is fixed! Tony was on time and extremely efficient. Less than 5 minutes he diagnosed exactly was wrong. He was honest and reasonably priced. He fixed it in less than 20 minutes. I will only call Tony from now on! If I could give him TEN stars I would! May God bless you and your business! read more

Hit or miss. Unfortunately, I think they are too busy to take new business. It was hard getting them to schedule the initial visit. Based on the previous reviews and their slow response to schedule my appointments, unfortunately, I will be looking elsewhere to prevent any future headache. Please note this review is not a reflection of their quality of work as no service appointment was scheduled. read more

My upstairs A/C stopped working after we returned from Cancun. After spending about two weeks trying to get the contractor assigned by my home warranty to call me back, I decided to find someone to fix my a/c. This is when I stumbled upon Tony's Max Heating & Air! I called their number and spoke to Jessica, she was super nice and sent someone out the next day. They diagnosed my problem, quoted me a very reasonable estimate and returned two days to replace my old A/C. I'm very thankful because sleeping on the couch for two weeks wasn't fun. Thanks Tony's Max Heating & Air! read more

I call so many places today to get my AC fixed. Everyone I called was either too busy or was out of my budget being a student. I called Tony's Max Heating & Air and he told me he was busy as everyone did. He quoted me to show up then he said "THE SERVICE FEE WILL GO TOWARDS MY REPAIR!"! Wow. I couldn't ask for more. Good news my unit was fixable. Me being on a budget I decided to call around to have the repair done to see if I could get it cheaper. But thanks to my bad luck I was quoted up to 3x higher to get the unit fixed. And here I had Tony's Max Heating & Air at my house who would repair it at now what I see a great price. I called them back to see if they would return and of course they were busy. So... I deal with the heat that night but to my surprise who shows up at my house at 7 pm to fix my AC... YES TONY'S MAXHEATING & AIR!! read more

Very nice people, reliable business owner. I really like his work. We need peoples like him in Merced.. keep business for long Tony!!!

I can't say enough kind words for Tony's Max Heating &Air. I have never had a home service company respond so quickly to a request for service and I felt that they truly cared about the comfort of my family and I. They went above and beyond by correcting another AC company's mistake and gave us good advice on how to prevent future issues from happening. They are in my contacts list as our "go to" AC contractor for all future issues, and I would suggest you give them a try so that you too can experience the excellent customer service and extreme value that they offer their customers. read more

Called This company to check my ac unit which wasn't cooling enough, they seemed nice at first, they asked for a payment before they even showed up, or they wouldn't come. The technician wasn't friendly or polite at all, I asked him a question, and he didn't seemed to be interested in talking to me, I walked away and let him do his job, he will go in and out of the house, but still wouldn't talk to me, after a few minutes of not seeing him around, I started looking for him, he was gone, he has left with out saying a word. I called the office and told them that he left with out saying a word, and I didn't know what he did, I wasn't sure if he had been able to do the repairs, they said, they will call me back after they talk to him, the lady called back and said, he is done, you have a balance of $430, I was confused, I said what is that charge for, she replied, for the repairs, I said I didn't approve it, the lady didn't bother on explaining anything, she said, if you don't pay it, we'll come back to remove the Freon and the parts that had replaced (there were not parts replaced), I looked at the recording for the camera filming all he was doing, I was right, no parts were replaced. He came back and emptied all my Freon. I don't recommend this company, they will try to rip you off, if you let them, they are very unprofessional, and dishonest. read more

Customer service is ABOVE & BEYOND! Extremely friendly and generous. The tech was super quick at diagnosing the problem and had my AC up and running in less then 20 minutes. On top of that, my landlord was giving me issues when it came time to arrange payment for the repairs BUT they assured me I would not have to worry, they handled everything for me (and made it point to say that they would not leave me roasting in this Stockton heat considering I'm 7 months pregnant!) I was very touched by that. read more

I called Tony's Max Heating & Air to try and get a mini split a/c installed in my house. I tried scheduling an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon since that is my only day off, unfortunately nobody was available until the next day (no big deal). So I schedule an appointment for next Tuesday for 11am. Next Tuesday rolls around and I get a call from a woman at 12:45pm saying there was a personal issue that came up with the technician and he won't be able to make it until 3pm but there's a chance he could make it sooner. So I wait until 4pm and nobody has come for the appointment. I called multiple times to no answer. DO NOT waste your time with this unprofessional company. read more

I cannot stress this enough, Jessica is running the best ac service I have ever used. I seriously thought (because of the last tech that came out to service my ac) that this was the year I would have to replace my unit. It is old, probably over 20 years old. I was requesting service from multiple local businesses during one of the worst heat waves of the summer. All told me I would have to wait for the next appointment (after the weekend). One company told me they could show up the next day (Saturday) but I would have to pay an after hours charge of 100$ just to have them check the unit. This would not go towards repair. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I made the appointment. I checked craigslist and came across Tony's Max. This was a Godsend. I called the number and was greeted by Jessica. She told me the charge would be 50.00 to have her tech come out and check what's wrong. And the fee would go towards any parts and repairs. Thinking I needed a whole new unit, this was just a drop in the bucket. Jessica told me that she could get the tech to my house at 12p (it was currently 820a on friday). I told her please and thank you. Paid and then hung up. Around 10a Jessica called me and told me her tech would be there within 15-20 minutes. He was at my door in 10. ON A FRIDAY before the 4th of July, during one of the worst heat waves ever. At this point I was only sad I wasted time calling other businesses. Tech checked unit and told me I needed a new capacitor and he cleaned the unit. He changed it and everything worked great through the weekend. Jessica called or text almost every day to check the unit. Had a few issues on Tuesday night, so she sent the tech out to check the unit and he replaced the fan. No charge for the extra visit. He came out one more time because the ac was working too hard. He took it apart poured special cleaning chemical on the radiators and cleaned it for over an hour to get the caked dirt out of the filters. NO other tech for any of the other "big boys" would have done that, without pay, after hours. They literally treat you like family. They don't want your money, they want your business. Your satisfaction is way more important than your pocket size. Trust what I am saying and call them for your ac/heating needs. I guarantee you will not regret it. Cheaper service. Focus on repair rather than replace ($$$$). And making sure your happy. What more can you ask of family? Call Jessica today and see for yourself. read more
