While on a trip cross country my vehicle broke down seven hours from my destination. After four…read moreplus hours trying to get someone from State Farms Roadside Assistance to help me and my teenage daughter, I started making my own calls. Consolo Automotive Repair came highly recommended and they didn't disappoint. My vehicle was rescued from the side of the road and we were able to get a rental car to continue to our destination. In the meantime, my vehicle was checked out. Consolo Automotive could have taken advantage of my situation but didn't, the bill was more than fair. I would highly recommend Consolo Automotive for repairs, service, and towing.

Over labor day weekend my car broke down while I was in ohio. I called a mechanic that was near…read morewhere I broke down and he said he doesn't take weekends or holidays meaning he works them. I drop off the car on Saturday and call on Monday just to see if he had an idea yet and because I'm a state away from my home. Before I went back home I wanted to make sure I wouldn't get half way up for him to call and say he figured it out. He yelled at me for calling. He said if he had any problems HE would call ME. Fastforward to Friday I called again to see if there was any progress. He yelled at me again for calling and told me he usually charges 10 dollars every time someone calls to check on their car. That he thinks it's the bcm on my car and he will call me the next day with the price. He didn't call so on Monday I called to see what the price was and the possible time frame. Mind you I'm stranded up here with 3 kids and no car. My husband is gone over 2000 miles away. The mechanic yelled again and said that he ordered it but doesn't know the price. Didn't give me a time frame or anything. I sent him a txt asking if the bcm has to be programmed by a dealership which is what I heard. He said that since I'm researching it I might as well come get my car. I apologized and said I'm sorry I thought it was a good question. I don't know if you have to send it out or if I will have to tow it to a dealership to get it programmed. I said that i think it's also a good question to ask what the price is and a timeframe on how long he's going to have my car. He demanded I come pick up my car now. I said excuse me? Said come pick up YOUR CAR NOW. I said ok what do I owe you he yelled NOTHING COME PICK UP YOUR Da## CAR NOW and he hung up. So fast forward. My mother in law told me to let him know that my father in law was going to get my registration from the car for aaa. I asked him to please put the car back together the way he found it. He refused! He said he doesn't have to! When you see the junk yard of cars at the end of the bridge please stay clear so this doesn't happen to you!!

I haven't actually had work done on my vehicle by this shop as I'm not local, but I can attest to…read morethe quality and integrity of the people that operate it! While en route to Cedar Point from Columbus with an SUV full of kids, I started to experience car trouble. My daughter googled auto repair shops near us as the handling of my SUV began to decline rapidly and I slowed down and drove with my hazards on. By the grace of God, we were only 5 minutes from Tom's Auto Repair! As I pulled into their parking lot, Daniel came out from the garage right away to make sure we were okay as he noticed the flashers on. I explained to him what I was experiencing and after emptying my vehicle of restless kids, the team had it up on a lift in no time and quickly diagnosed the issue(s). They said I was lucky that I stopped, as with the state of my wheel bearing and front bushing, we might not have even made it the next 30 minutes to the park. Daniel didn't have the specific part I needed, but called around to other local shops to see if anyone had it on hand. With none found nearby, he and Alexis helped me problem solve from that point on. I called AAA to tow my SUV to a repair shop back home, and Daniel was already on the phone with local taxi services to to help us a way to Cedar Point, without me even asking. Alexis then called Fleet One for a rental and a Ford Explorer was delivered to the auto shop in less than 15 minutes! The tow truck came quickly as well, and Daniel provided a written analysis of the issue and parts needed to pass along to my local shop. What's even more impressive, is that he refused to collect a dime for his and his team's time, diagnosis, and help. They even cleaned up a wound and provided a bandaid for one of my son's friends who was with us! I was in tears by the time I left, grateful for the good people that God placed us close to at a time of need. I highly recommend Tom's Auto Repair to anyone in the Norwalk area and will always be a fan! Thanks again for saving my son's 13th birthday and keeping us safe, Daniel & team. You guys went above and beyond for nothing in return, and with that kind of integrity and character, I would absolutely trust you with the care of my or my loved ones vehicles in heartbeat. Thanks again, a million times over!
