This guy bragged about putting Lamborghinis up on his tow truck but couldn't even get my stock height car on there. He went to his truck and pulled out a damage waiver and tried forcing me to sign it. He said for a 100k car and a $200 tow it ain't worth it to me. So basically he wanted me to sign the waiver first so he can waive all liability when he destorys my front lip. I basically told this asshole to fuck off and send a more professional individual. I just called to find out the fees for my car, For 2 days of storage they are charging me $1300. This is outrageous being that it was towed by SDPD from the scene of an accident. I wish there was a negative star option, so I would choose negative infinity. This place is terrible. I had to have my lawyer call them so they would give me access to my car to get some personal paperwork. That is the only way I could get access to the vehicle? How does that even make sense? You also have to make an appointment because they say "There is no one there on weekends to assist" if you need something out of the car or want to get it you have to pay $120, which they add on top to whatever fee you have to pay and that is not stated anywhere which doesn't make sense when their sign says open 24/7 for all services and when calling in you can hear other people talking in the background. How was this place in business for so long? These people have no amount of sympathy in them or common sense. They just don't care about people. They are just a front for some really shady tactics. EXTREME PRICE GOUGING AND HIDDEN FEES EVERYWHERE. "Family owned & operated since 1965" yeah right more like "Scamming everyone since 1965" They only care about money. I hope no one is unfortunate enough to have to deal with these people. If you do have to, be ready to use legal action if you have to, or they will keep getting away with these things. This business needs to be punished by the BBB, through legal action, or shut down altogether for the way they handle business they are not deserving of their business license or ability to operate. All of the workers there also deserve to be punished separately and with severe consequences with swift and immediate karma with the same treatment or worse, especially the person who works the front window. They make up fees for what they want. They wanted me to pay 800$ for 1 day in the impound lot. They charge daily but wont release cars on the weekend. I tried calling to find out any other way to release my car since im a service member who has a car out of state owned by my father. Tony's Auto Center - Towing Service for AAA. I needed to utilize my AAA premium service to get my car towed over 100 miles from San Diego to Carson. From the time the call was dispatched from AAA to the tow company was very minimal. The Driver 'Dwayne' called and provided me with an ETA of his arrival, it provides me with an ease to know exact when he was going to show up. Upon his arrival, Dwayne had a friendly demeanor and no hesitation that the car was going such a long distance. He checked my ID and confirmed the drop off location. I provide him with the name of the shop of where its going and ensured me not to worry. About 2 hour and 45 later Dwayne called me and informed me of delivering the car to the destination. I really appreciate his professionalism in communication. Nowadays its hard-to-find great service along with honest people, much like needle in a haystack. The driver was very apologetic for damaging the vehicle, and assured me that they'd fix it, no problem. Now they're backing out, telling Toyota they aren't responsible, and to file a claim with my insurance if I want, but I'm on my own. My friend had her car towed here, she forgot to mentioned on the police report that she had a perfume in her car. 2 days later when we went to pick up her car (and after driving away) she noticed her perfume was gone. It was brand new, only used once & still in its original packaging. I went back to speak to the owner or whomever is in charged to ask if we could see the footage on their Closed-circuit cameras they have in their yard. I was asked to speak to David (who I was told was incharge), I spoke with a skinny old man with a receding hairline named Sam, who told me that I wasnt going to have any luck seeing those cameras. He was sassy, unconcerned with my position, and overall unprofessional. I'm sure they deal with rude people all the time but it doesnt give them the right to be rude to all incoming persons. Do not use Tony's if you're using a 3rd party roadside service, like AAA. The drivers arrive trained to find some excuse to not tow your vehicle. They will call back to dispatch and some guy behind a desk ultimately decides to not tow your vehicle. Then the driver will give you a business card through an open window of the truck. Yes, he never even got out of his tow truck. Tell you to call the office if I have any more questions. So I call AAA back and they send out another tow company. As AAA roadside service has responded several times, with this exact same car for many years. Beware Lowrider community if you have a vehicle that looks like a Lowrider. Tony's will not want to tow your vehicle. And waste your time. My car is completely original with some aftermarket wheels and tires. That's it. No custom modifications or fabrication. The reviews ain't lying. I have AAA and I used my "tow" credits to have my vehicle towed from home to a Discount Tire in the area. During this transaction of my vehicle being placed onto the bed of the tow truck, there was a 2x4 block of wood that he placed on the ground. As the van was being driven onto the bed of the truck, the wood popped out of place. The back bumper on the passenger side was knocked out and stuck out. The driver immediately popped the bumper back into place using his hands, pushing it back in but damage was done already-and if anyone knows, bumpers have a million sensors. The bumper wasn't fully on but managed for the time being. The tow truck driver admitted fault, apologizing for the incident, stating that he tries his best and really does treat every vehicle as if it's his own, and that sometimes these types of things happen, but not to worry, he will call the company to let them know what happened. He gave my husband the company's business card, and said for him to call the company as well and let them know what happened. My husband called that day to let the company know what happened, and they informed my husband that the guy who handles these kind of incidents wasn't in that day, and to call back the next day. My husband called back the next day, informing the tow truck company of what happened. My husband was forwarded on to what appeared to be a manager by the name of Robert, who would be dealing directly with my husband. Robert was in contact with my husband, and said that he could take it to a shop they deal with, Mission Hills Automotive. My husband had informed Robert that we felt more comfortable taking it to the Toyota dealer since we've only ever taken our vehicle there, and it's also much closer to our home. Robert said he would have to talk to his boss, and would get back to my husband later that day. My husband did not hear back from Robert that day, so the following day, he called Robert. Robert had stated to my husband yes, go ahead and take it to Toyota, that's fine. My husband asked about billing, whether he should pay directly and then they would then reimburse him, or if he could just have Toyota bill them directly, and Robert responded by saying it doesn't matter, either way would be fine. My husband then proceeded by taking our van into Toyota on Friday, December 15, but was told that the body shop doesn't work on weekends, and if we wanted a rental, we'd have to pay for it over the weekend, which we did not want to do, nor to try to bill that to the tow company. We opted to wait until Monday, December 18, which is when husband brought the van into Toyota. On Tuesday, he received a call from the body shop representative at Toyota stating that he received a voicemail from the tow company. The tow company stated that they were not going to pay for anything and that they did not authorize this. After getting off the phone with Toyota, my husband immediately called Robert from the tow company. The phone rang a couple of times, then immediately went to voicemail. My husband called back again, and the phone rang once and went to voicemail. My husband then called the tow company's main number, asked for Robert, was told he was unavailable, so he explained the situation about our van being at Toyota and Robert called them saying he was not going to pay, and the tow truck representative said to please wait while he called Robert. A minute later, he explained that he just spoke with Robert, and that Robert stated he only authorized a quote from Toyota, not for any work to be done. My husband explained that there's no way that's accurate, since he had asked about the payment and whether he should pay or have Toyota bill them directly, and how Robert said either way would work, but the guy from the tow company just said there's nothing he can do, he's just relaying what Robert told him. This is when we then called AAA to start an investigation. Ultimately we got our money back (after a few months) since we had to pay out of pocket, but the fact of the matter is this should all have been avoided to begin with & should've never gotten to this level of headache. So to say the very least, this is a POS business ran by less than ethically moral human beings. Admit fault when it's your businesses fault, it's not that difficult. read more

But Luis got there and quickly got me out of there, dropped off my truck in Imperial Beach and put the truck right where I needed. Made the mom mistake of making sure the kids got to school before getting gas. I ran out of gas on the way to get gas after dropping them off. I contacted AAA and Tony's auto center showed up 30 mins earlier than AAA had told me. The guy (didn't get his name) was absolutely helpful! A driver at Tony's auto center attempted to run me off the road while we were in two lanes merging and I was clearly ahead of them. They aggressively sped up to block the space I was merging into while blaring their horn at me. I couldn't move or else their tow bed would have damaged my vehicle and their attempt to run me off the road/force me behind them endangered themselves, the car they were towing, and almost forced me to collide with two individuals who got into an accident and were standing outside of their vehicles on the right shoulder. We paid the bill and were told that THEY blocked the car in and couldn't access it- they called the Chula Vista service to have other cars that are blocking my car towed out of way- we politely asked if they could have it towed to our house being that they blocked it in. The woman at the front t desk was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! She advised us to call the main number and I asked her for her name for reference and she rudely REFUSED!
