Just letting travelers know that they do not accept puppies that are un-spayed, even if they are too young to be bred. They are a daycare not a kennel, and are not responsible for unwanted pregnancies among the clientele so they do not accept unspayed females. I didn't ask about un neutered males. They DID answer the phone quickly and answer my questions. If you want to rent ATV's, Torex ATV's watched our dog in her kennel while we rode the dunes, and took her out and walked and played with her while we were gone. (Two hours) It was pretty cool. Went there to check it out. Both of the men there were extremely rude. When I said I would never leave my dog there they got more rude and continued to be rude to my 87 year old mother. This guy has a horrible temper. He continued to yell at us following my mom out of the shop. Truest a sight to see his temper. I'd rather leave my dog alone than with these people. read more

We have used Toni's Canine Castle for several years. One of our dogs came to us with deep scars and hates strangers. I was concerned she would react badly to the caretakers. Charlie immediately worked to become her friend. Now when we drop them off, the dogs run into the building. The only funny downside was that when we picked them up the first time one of the dogs thought it was now OK to get on our then new leather loveseat. They have plenty of other cushy choices at home, just not that one. read more

We had our dog boarded there for three nights. Only $35.00 per 24/hr stay. I guess you get what you pay for.They didn't allow us to inspect their place but we left our pooch there anyway because there was no time to look for another. Three days later when we picked up our dog and took her home, we noticed she was sick with yellow diarrhea and an ear infection. The vet confirmed that she was ill, and prescribed medicine for her. We went back and asked again if we could view the area she was at, and again they said NO! Really? What are they hiding? It's been four days and she's still not herself. The vet suggested that she may have consumed food or water that was tainted by feces. read more

My puppy and I just love this place. The owners, Toni and Charlie are wonderful. Charlie went out of his way for me right away since my schedule couldn't coincide with his usual puppy assessment days--he made a special appointment for me. I'm a very overprotective mother that has never left a dog in a facility like this previously, and feel that they give the dogs wonderful attention and care. My puppy bugs the heck out of me when he thinks it's time to go see his friends, which says quite a lot. After reading James G's review I think he's the one with the issues. Charlie is nothing but calm, loving and attentive to all dogs in their care, knows all by name and gives special attention to each. I drop off and pick up my pup at different times of the day, unannounced and have always been pleased with how everyone is getting along. Toni's Canine Castle has been wonderful to me and my fur baby. LOVE this place and would highly recommend to anyone. read more

Toni and Charlie are in the business of housing (not watching) many dogs at one time, merely for profit. Charlie especially is a nervous wreck, w/anger issues as I witnessed him yelling and slapping small dogs in the "office" area, on two different occasions. I would never leave my dogs there with Charlie fearing he would neglect, ignore or harm them when I wasn't present! read more

I've had many uncomfortable boarding experiences in the past - but Toni's is just fabulous. Love the model - no kennels, the dogs are part of the household and my pup can curl up on the sofa and sleep at night. She is always happy to get there and looks great when she comes home if exhausted at playing all day long with her roommates. I know she's having a blast there. My boyfriend, our dogs, and I were in Oregon camping for a week. We wanted to ride ATV's really badly but had no where to bring / leave the boys. After a quick Google search, Toni's was the first we found. We drove over (didn't get to call because lack of service at the campground) and they weren't able to accommodate a meet and greet right away but we scheduled an appointment for the next day. I used to work at a doggy daycare - so I knew I should have called, despite their website saying that they can do them M-F. You never know the mix up of dogs that you're going to have so I always recommend a call in advance. I always have vaccination records on me - so make sure you have that as well! Anyway! We were very pleasantly surprised by the cute set up of the house. They are free to roam either outside or inside. We have a 1 yr old Great Dane and an 8 yo Chihuahua. Our old guy sun bathed all day while the big one made girlfriends left and right. I called to check in and Toni gave me an update and said they were doing perfectly. From working at a larger scale daycare in the Bay Area, I was very pleased to see this. We are so thankful for them being so accommodating for something so last minute. This place is more of a doggie dungeon than a "castle". I put my trust in these people and they hurt my GSD! He has strong emergency medicine for scary events like the 4th. They were told use only if he becomes activated! They were also told "I can't afford them so please only use in emergency! They gave him 6! I asked if there were any problem's and they said no he was fine there. But gave him the meds anyway! He couldn't hardly walk to the car, tail between his legs, bottom eye lids drooping, ears horizontal and no eye contact!!!! This is a big black German Shepard!!! It took him over a week to recover!!!! I was too mad to act appropriate so I just got the F out of there. I was hoping it was just separation anxiety and we'd get home, he would be his normal big personality! I was in shock when I counted what was left of his medicine! Please don't take your baby there!!! There is something wrong with a house with 8 dogs and it was silent like a tomb. Don't let your fur baby go there!! read more

I adopted Sadie, a rescue, 7 years ago from an unknown situation. She was very friendly to people but not to every other dog. I started to take her for day care to Charlie and Toni. Then helped her to get along with other dogs. She likes to go there and adores Charlie. She regularly goes for day care and occasionally over night. There are couches in one rooms for the dogs. They love it. highly recommend this service for dogs of all sizes and ages. Great people. read more

This dog watching facility is great, that is what it is a dog watching facility at better price than most. Dogs are not kept in kennels but are allowed to run around within a safe area. Charlie is a kind and compassionate man, he does have to keep safe order and use appropriate dog training technique so the dogs know he is leader of the pack which is important for all the dogs safety. This is not a spoiled dog, allowing them to run amok place, when you get your dog back it will have had social time, and learned how to behave in a multi dog facility. read more

We love and appreciate the care our two dogs get at Tony's. My healer is super attached to me but he willingly stays with them. Our Basenji starts crying to get in the door before I stop the car. We think they think it's a dog park with a kitchen. They are always in great shape when we pick them up and tired from all the play time.
