The Works offers both Men's and Women's styling; it is a full service salon. There are places that may do a cut for a lot less, however, I was looking for a stylist and salon that could offer a more refined experience with attention to detail. When I arrived, my stylist greeted me on time and confirmed the services I was after before taking you to the sinks. Another salmon staff provided a relaxing shampoo and conditioner. The lady who cut my hair, Angelica, has worked independently for the shop for over 10 years. She was very friendly and my hair was just how I expected when she was through. I asked flr a treatment mask with my blow dry and they were happy to do it, and there was no extra cost to it. The staff are nice, they also have a large range of products and GHD straighteners for sale. The prices are very reasonable and a 10% discount for NHS staff (must show your badge) is a nice bonus. Friendly, busy, happy atmosphere. I am treated to coffee and a read and relax (can't get that anywhere else these days!). Having heard such brilliant things about the team, I had waited a long time for my appointment and was extremely pleased! Everything about my appointment was fantastic. The salon itself is very stylish and clean, but not pretentious in the slightest. Not being a regular client, I was surprised how much everyone there makes you feel so welcome, from the top stylist to the juniors. I had my appointment with Natalie, who took the time to thoroughly understand what my wants and needs were when it came to my colour and style. There was no rush she took extra time to go through pictures with me until we found the perfect do! I am especially hard to please, I get an image in my head of how I want my hair and I always feel disappointed when it turns out nothing like I asked for. However, in this case I am for the first time SO happy with my hair. She is a super talented stylist, really understands current trends and what, more importantly, will suit you. I can see the rest of the team are equally as dedicated and masterful. They are superb and I REALLY recommend Saks in Lytham if you haven't already tried it. I have to say that I would never have known about it otherwise as it is about 30 mins bus journey from my home and also only a small shop front on a busy main road. I had to walk up and down a couple of times to find it! On entering the salon is really quite small but with a comfortable yet professional look and feel. I was intent on having my very long, thick hair cut into a very short, layered bob - and wasn't sure that the free offer would cover this. However, everytihng was indeed absolutely free - and when I asked what the normal prices were, i was pleasantly surprised to find them much much cheaper than any of the many salons I have visited over the years. My haircut is incredible, the staff are amazing and I have already booked my next trim there in 6 weeks. I was in the salon for nearly two hours, during which I had the best haircut of my life by an amazing stylist - and I also left with a stomache aching from laughing so much.
