Don't use him. You have to wait 3 hours with no food from last night. His office triple booked patients. Will never use him.

I've been putting off my colonoscopy screening for years and finally decided to do it. My in-law…read moreintroduced me to this place after I canceled my appointment with another gastroenterologist office. This gastroenterologist office is inside One Fulton Square. The office is not too busy, the doctor and staff are Asian but speak English. Also they are really nice and friendly. I loved how they greeted me and talked to me while smiling. Even though they had the face masks on, I could tell they were sincerely smiling. To be honest I was nervous, scared and skeptical about getting sedated because of my previous experience BUT this time was totally different. I can say I had the best experience ever. They told me each step of the process and made me feel at ease. I went to sleep and woke up with freshness. It was super quick too. I was like .. what ?! Done !? lol. That's amazing! After they woke me up nicely, they told me to still lay down and rest for a bit longer while helping me release some gas out. They handed me a rice crispy after I got changed too. It was such good feeling when I was starving for more than 24 hours lol. I heard once you do colonoscopy screening, your next one won't be for another 10 years. And when the time comes I'll for sure come back here again.

The new office is very spacious and has a large flat screen in the center of the room. And he doesn't need appt, so you can do walk in as soon as you get your referral. Other procedures are also done on site, such as Endoscopy (8 hours fasting -PROCEDURES NEED APPOINTMENT and must be accompanied by another person on the day of procedure.) You might end up waiting a long time, but at least Dr. Yio is patient and thorough once you get to see him. He doesn't see you for like 2 seconds and then sends you on your way. So that's why I didn't argue with the wait time here; esp. since we're all walk ins mostly. No credit machine here, so bring cash people

He ONLY CARES about his own EGO than the HEALTH of his PATIENTS!! When I just moved back to NYC from Long Island some 13 years ago, I had to find myself a new PCP & a new Gastroenterologist & I got his background from my health insurance, he was an NYU Med. School grad & affiliated w/ NYU, so I felt kind of comfortable to choose him as BOTH my PCP & my G.I. doctor!! I am prone to have bleeding ulcers & GERD, & when work & life stressed me out, I had developed IBS!! Every OTHER WEEK I would be DONE w/ 1/2 a box of 12 IMODIUM AD!! My friends joked about if I own stock from the company that makes Impdium AD, I'd be RICH by then!! He did both a upper & lower G.I. series IN his OWN OFFICE, after the procedures, he did care if the SEDATIONS he put in me was totally OUT of my SYSTEM, him & his office staff just told me I was ready to go home w/ my head still was "IN the CLOUDS" & I almost PASSED OUT IN the MIDDLE of the 2nd AVE. & ALMOST GOT HIT BY the MTA BUS IF I DIDN'T CRAWL for the REMAINING FEW STEPS to the SIDEWALK, USING my CANE to STAY ALIVE, yes I'm a physically challenged lady who walks w/ a cane!! I was tired of missing out on work & Church every 10 days & lived in the bathroom for the rest of the 4 like CLOCKWORK!! He absolutely REFUSED to find a way to "HELP" me, just told me if problem came, just take the Imodium AD!! My friend found me a great G.I. doctor @ NY Presbyterian where she works, I asked his office for a referral to see that doctor for a 2nd opinion, but he ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to GIVE me 1 for OVER 3 WHOLE WEEKS UNTIL I called my insurance to COMPLAINT & they "threatened" to TAKE him OFF their PROVIDERS' LIST & my then insurance was Empire Blue Cross & Blue Shield, 1 of the largest health insurance co. in NYS!! Then within a day, I saw a fax of a referral for me to see the G.I. doctor @ NY Presby. came through my fax machine & under the new doctor's care, after 3 changes of medications in 1 month, when the new doctor called me back in 2 month to checked up on me, he asked how was my lower G.I. system doing, I then played w/ him by saying that I "never" did had any problem, what was he talking about?! We got a good laugh, I thanked him & ever since my IBS had never come back once until today, 11 years later!! A month after I got that referral, I DITCHED QUACK Cho & found myself a great new PCP who was educated @ the SAME med. school as QUACK Cho, but older & w/ more experience & to him, PATIENTS NEEDS ALWAYS COME FIRST, his EGO ALWAYS COMES LAST!! To bad, so sad, he retired on me 3 years later but he pointed me to the right direction to find a new PCP @ Horizon Medical Group on East 34th Street's D.O.C. Building, & one of the founders of the practice, Horizon Med. Group, Dr. Kirschner who is as great & as "egoless" as my retired PCP & is also affiliated w/ Beth Israel Petrie Division, 1 of the greatest hosp. In NYC & he, as my PCP & my cardiologist, has taken care of me for OVER 9 YEARS, & he always make himself available for all his patients regardless of what kind of insurance they carry, & make sure his patients' health always come first!! He's stuck w/ me, saw my health to go from hell & back to where it suppose to be, & making sure I stay this way!! Most of all, he is very easy going, soft spoken & let his patients feeling easy & comfortable to talk to!! Just hope he isn't going to retire on me any time soon, if ever!! As Great PCP is just EXTREMELY HARD to FIND!!

I have a hiatal hernia that causes problems that need to be checked regularly. He's very competent and thorough. And he's gone way beyond in terms of care provision. I couldn't get my insurance to pay for the medication he prescribed. So with me in the office, he called United Health Care and demanded to know what the problem was. It turned out my dosage was above what UHC had on their formulary. He lowered my dosage and told me how to buy an OTC to make sure I would be ok, And UHC switched their formulary pretty fast to accept the dosage I needed.

Afterwards, I scheduled an appointment to do the colonoscopy in March. I was nervous, but Newtown's staff was very professional and experienced. Props to the anesthesiologist for using the perfect amount, so that I was clearheaded in a minute or so afterwards. I highly recommend Newtown. Thank you, Dr. Chan and Staff.

And if you look at him long enough you might mistake him for Justin Timberlake (He's been told this btw). He is so friendly and he's pretty good at remembering who you are so you don't feel like you're going to become just another patient in the crowd. His office is located a block away from Grand Central Station so it's pretty easy to get to him. The check in process was a bit confusing to me. I entered one office to check in and the was told to go to another office where I was being expected. When I walked into that office, they had no idea who I was and I had to repeat the process of answering check in question all over again. If Dr. Wolff schedules you for a procedure, it will likely be downtown at Liberty Endoscopy. His staff there is very efficient and on the ball with time management. After prep, Dr. Wolff comes in for a short but sincere chat on what will be happening, how you're feeling, and time to give answers to any questions you might have. The next time you see him, it will be in the OR and he explains everything to you again as well as make sure you are okay. I love that he is so genuine putting his patients first. He or his anesthesiologist will guide you into lullaby land as you drift off to oblivion. And then you wake up to find that everything is done. The Doc comes back to discuss his findings with you after you've had time to shake off the sleepiness. My Gastroenterologist is better than yours...lol.
