**My review is based mostly off the atmosphere/overall experience as I have yet to try the food** Cash Only! Unfortunately, I only had enough to for a beer. I had the Punk 14° by Starosta, 45kc. Very nice beer, other beers by Starosta were 29-35kc. Wish I had more cash, the burgers looked fantastic. The menu is mostly burgers of course, the most interesting one was the Chili Cactus Burger. They range from 89-138kc. They also offer larger sizes of burgers which cost a bit more. There is also a small selection of Mexican items: fried stuffed jalepeños, nachos, quesadilla, burrito, chimichanga). They offer a combo (I guess in Europe it's called "menu") consisting of -Burger -Fries .5 beer or other drink Rather than a flat rate, you simply get 15% off as the burgers and drinks differ in price. This concept is odd to me but I think it really makes sense and is fair. They do offer a few salad and dessert items. The physical space is small without feeling claustrophobic. It is a nice atmosphere to relax. Noise level when the place is busy isn't too bad at all. The music volume was perfect- present but not overly so. The place seems hip and comforting- very welcoming to Expats. It feels like your low key, local burger pub back home (if you're home is in America). There is a tv so this might be a spot for the sports bar crowd. Avg age of customers: 20s-30s. The staff was friendly but still not up to typical American standards where they constantly check up on you. Anyways, I will absolutely be heading back here (with cash) to try the food and I suggest you do too!

This burger joint looked very promising, and by Prague standards serves *very* good burgers, but ultimately failed to deliver on the overall experience. On the plus side are first of all the burgers - great buns, tasty garnish, good quality of meat and done just right- lots of juice with a tasty pink middle. The place also has a very relaxed and casual atmosphere- even the huge plastic cow covered in flashing Christmas lights which stands in front of the bar somehow fits in nicely. What let me down was first of all the service. Although friendly, they were quite slow and not very organized- just in the short 40 minutes during my visit they 'forgot' about two tables and let them just sit there for ages. And the restaurant was half empty. Also the presentation of the food could be improved- my burger arrived casually thrown on a too large of a plate, with no garnish except for the oily fingerprints all over it. The chicken strips coated in cornflakes were fresh and well made, but a little bit bland - I wish the chef would marinate the meat a bit to make it really stand out. In summary - if you want a tasty burger in Prague, this is a great place to go, but be warned that overall it is still a far cry from the experience you would get in a true American burger joint.

    Starosta - great beer

Good atmosphere, beer Starosta tastes nice, good prices, staff was very caring. Only negatives - you cannot pay by card and due to the mistake in the order, the food was cold, otherwise we enjoyed it.

The fries were really good. But the burger was raw..

It was really easy to find the restaurant. The knowledge of English of the waiter was not the best, but we could order food. We got our burgers, but my burger patty was raw. Not the burger bar I was. Really disappointed!

American style BBQ in Prague??? Really??? Good 'Q is hard enough to pull off in the USA, could…read moresomeone in Prague do it? The answer is a resounding YES. Bad Jeff's is the real deal. It's located near the Namesti Miru station on a mostly residential street. Beautifully decorated, we were seated immediately. Friendly server brought us our menus. We considered the BBQ Sampler but thought it would be too much as we weren't super hungry. Settled for the beef brisket and the pork ribs lunch. Both were excellent. Meat just fell of the bones, perfectly sauced. Fries were good. Unfortunately we didn't try the sides - guess we'll have to save that for next time. After getting to know Prague better, good 'Q doesn't surprise me anymore. Prague is well known for its meats and the restaurant scene is definitely on point.

In a city that's known for its meat, BBQ isn't the first thing that you associate with it. But in…read morethe city's continued growth and attraction of multiple nations, one of those being Americans, BBQ was bound to find its way. And that's what Jeff did, he took his BBQ with him from back home, set up shop in Prague, and has been successful ever since with locals, and of course, expats. The chef, Jeff, actually is from Texas and used to be a chef at Prague Beer Museum, where he helped introduce classic American fare, such as corndogs, on their menu. I had my best ribs in Prague here, and some great sides including truffle mac n' cheese, jalapeno cheese corn bread, baked beans and cole slaw. I was pleased with the overall experience. Comforting interior, great selection of food (true to an American BBQ menu), AWESOME service, and the prices (albeit "expat prices") were good for what you got in return.
