Have been going to Tommy's for several years, have never had an incident. I own several vehicles that I take through these car washes. Took my 2003 Suburban ( which looks like new) through the Council Bluffs, Iowa wash today. This is the vehicle I have on the unlimited plan. Today the wash ripped up my rear windshield wiper and scratched the back hatch. I was told it was too old write a complaint on. So too bad. Guess they really don't care about the customer or if they lose a customer. I will be looking for a different car wash. These people don't care. Being loyal evidently only works one way. For them!! $48 a month for unlimited to get your vehicle ruined. Not what I was expecting! read more

We have been subscribed to Tommy's since they were built in Omaha. We ran out brand new car through the wash. Unfortunately our Shark Fin Antenna was knocked off the roof of our car. We contacted management. They reviewed camera footage of our car at the wash. They said they weren't liable. They refused to help repair or replace. I just want others to know not to go to Tommy's if they operate with lack of integrity. There are other car wash companies in the area. read more

I have never been super satisfied with my car washes here. I recently had a coupon for a "The Works" wash, which would normally be $17. If I had paid that much, I would have been turning around and demanding another wash. As you can see from the attached pictures, this certainly isn't what I would consider clean. I don't know if they need to slow the belt down or get better angles to spray, but with the wide selection of car washes in Omaha, Tommy's needs to make some changes. read more

This was my very first visit to Tommy's Express Car Wash. The non-app line was lengthy but the cars moved eventually to the cashier's window where you select your particular car wash. There was no hard sell to buy additional washes or a monthly pass. Once you are in line for the wash, it's an easy process to place the car in neutral and you don't have to fit your tires into a carriage that other car washes have. Overall, the whole process is quick, simple, and reliable. The vacuums are off to the side if you choose to use them after your car wash is over. The only complaint is that this wash method doesn't completely wash off the dirt on the rear side of the vehicle. read more

About a year ago I sold a car and cancelled my Tommy's account. Somehow, that account accidentally got reinstated and I was charged for over a year of membership fees. Once discovered, I worked with the manager, but even though they recognized that the activation was accidental and it was obvious that the account had never been used, and no carwashes were provided a single time, they refused to credit my account. I understand that managing the account was my responsibility, but Tommy's could have shown grace and understanding in this situation. Have to say I love the convenance of unlimited car washes and Tommy's has the perfect setup... complete automation, extremely quick service, "fancy" look, vacs included, rug cleaner, polite staff. Why the two stars you ask? Earlier in the winter I noticed a scratch on my car after a wash and thought it could have been the carwash but wasn't sure so I kept it moving. Understand that going to a carwash with brushes will impact you cars finish but this was down to the metal. Either way I wasn't sure it was the carwash. Fast forward... I am on my 3rd wash this week (can't have a dirty car) and during my usual drying routine I notice ANOTHER scratch! This was not there 2 days ago. The car looks clean and shiny after I dry it completely but the damage is unaccep Tommy's has to take a look at their equipment. Something is very wrong. Submitted a claim with the very understanding staff. Let's see where this goes. Update: After submitting a damage report, the techs took pictures and told me it would be reviewed by the manager. About a week later I got a call stating that the claim was denied due to damage being there before I entered the wash. I asked a few qualifying questions and was told I could come in and see the video for my self. Went in that night only to be shown light glare in their video from the front passenger fender when my report is damage to the rear. When I saw the video I could immediately tell that was not the correct area. After explaining this to the manager he again said he would have to review and get back to me, after taking more pictures. A week later I went back only to be told... surprise "claim denied". Supposedly Tommy's corporate stated there is no way their car wash could cause the damage described. Tommy's Express is a chain of automatic car washes. What's special: They're very fast. It's a bright, colorful experience. They have an app to support memberships (unlimited visits). They do a remarkably good job for a fully automatic wash. What's as expected: As with ANY automatic car wash, little pockets of dirt may get missed. My heavily soiled car came out with with a few very minor dirty patches, but frankly I am quite happy with how it came out. I get the impression you can go through again if you notice a spot that could use a little more cleaning. Signage: I'd recommend visiting their website before visiting. Note that you should use the far left lane on your first visit. There's a lot of information to absorb, and you'll be moving through the line too fast to read all the signs. Although there are lots of signs, the directional signage has shortcomings. In some spots there are no arrows showing which way to go; in other spots there are multiple arrows pointing in opposite directions (as seen from the driver's point of view). Protecting your car: I had no problems, but... The spinning cloth brushes can potentially yank off car parts such as radio antennas or loose mirrors. Since it's not touchless, it's possible that particles of grit can be dragged across the paint, causing tiny scratches. Many tire manufacturers recommend against any kind of tire gloss product--it may even void the tire warranty. Tommy's uses a water based tire gloss product, so the danger to tires is probably minimal. read more

I've been a loyal customer since they opened on 132nd Street. But not anymore. After going through and having my roof antenna ripped completely off, their Site Manager says that Acura must've put it on incorrectly. Well it was perfectly fine until your car wash ripped it off of my car. Obviously they are at fault and have lost my business. I highly recommend thinking about putting your valuable car through their extremely poor Car Wash. Not a great way to retain any customers. read more

This business seems to prioritize how many cars they can get through as fast as possible over quality. Your vehicle will be extremely clean and dry when done. However, it is not worth the damage that will happen to your vehicle. I had two cars with the unlimited package and now both have bent license plates. I thought it was just me, until I noticed several cars in front of me with the same bend. Bottom left corner. Then I began to notice scratches, actually more along the line of chips/gouges. Be careful. I don't see Tommy's doing anything about this as I know 2 others that have had the same problems. So we were suckered by an employee. Wanted us to sign up for the monthly subscription. We had it once before but canceled it because we don't live close enough to get our money's worth out of it. Circumstances changed and they again spoke to us about the subscription. Told them at the time we had already had the subscription and they said no problem we can still do this for you, but we have to enter it in a different way. Gave us a slip of paper and a person met us after our wash wash complete. We'll, now we have been charged for a month of their services although we were promised we would not be. They will not refund. They need to train their employees better about policies. ​ read more

I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews of this place. I've had good experiences and generally am happy with the wash I get each time I stop by. Is at good as doing it by hand? No, of course not. I've never known an automatic wash that does as well as I can do with a manual wash. But, the convenience is definitely worth it for me, especially in the winter months when our cars can get real dirty and it's too darn cold to go wash it manually. I've had a monthly membership for a few months now and it's a decent deal. For the works, I think it's like $36 a month but if you stop in at least once a week, it is not a bad deal. I probably stop in more than I need to, just to feel like I get my moneys worth. They also have "free" vacuums and I kind of like the conveyer belt thing they've got going on for the cars. If you live in the Millard area and want a convenient option to keep your car fairly clean regularly, I'd give this place a try. read more

I hate to write bad reviews but I bought the monthly subscription because I have a black vehicle. the back of my vehicle never fully gets washed, by the time i get back to work all the mud is running of my back board, there are always hard water spots and last but not least the brushes have scratched my entire vehicle i now have to pay $1000 to get it buffed out to fix the damage. as the staff is great. the car wash itself is a downer read more

DO NOT USE TOMMYS CAR WASHES! Took our brand new truck there 1 week after getting it and it put a ton of scratches in it and swirled the paint. We reported it when we were at the vacuums and they said a manager would callus. That didn't happen. We contacted them and the manager said to meet him up there. He was not there when he said he would be so an employee showed us the video that they say shows the scratches and there were none there. He pointed out a scratch in the video that isnt even on the truck. My husband met with someone today and they said they won't do anything because they were already there. This is not true. This's a very pleasant experience with car washing, compare to most the hand free car wash Tommy's just a little extra but it paid off by very nice cashier, clean vacuum stations, modernized with deposable washing kit, and the well clean rug machine. I loved everything about this car wash UNTIL....summer and bug season! I have been dealing with this annoying situation and have 3 cars that I pay over $100 a month for membership for their unlimited washes. However, that is going to end! They won't spray the bugs on the front of the car and suggest you go through as many times as you want to get them off. Well, 3 times didn't do it today and when I called I was told that I could just scrape them off! NO! that is what I pay Tommy's to do! ICK! Not to mention the total waste of energy and water to clean a vehicle that is already clean, except for the stuck on bugs! I paid $17 for the premium car wash and I swear they just used soap and water. My car still had bird poop and dirt on it when I pulled out. I am NOT a happy customer. I am here from Out of town for a few months and came across this car wash. The first time I went through they told me because I have sand bags in the back of my truck, that They could not run the dryers because it would blow the 75# bags of sand out of my truck. Mind you that I go through car washes with sting blowers at least once or twice a week and the blowers have never budged the 10 bags of sand in the back. However, I agree to go through without the blow dry. It did a good job. Today, I want to go thorough and they tell me i can't go through at all because that same car wash I went through last week, now the brushes will throw the 10- 75# bags of sand out of my truck!!!!! Tommy's has always done an outstanding job washing my car. The one & only complaint I've ever had (in my mind) is the new member sign up for 3-months free with auto sign-ups. I pay for the Works & it's the best plan available. They are always kind when I'm a dork & forget to register a new bank card or license plate. ALWAYS FRIENDLY, PLEASANT & KIND. Once I went thru twice as I'd been out of town on a 400 mile road trip & they asked what was wrong with my wash. Once I didn't get my Works wash and I simply reentered and told the attendant who allowed me the proper wash. There is NO VALID REASON FOR THESE LOW RATINGS, EXCEPT small minded witless empty-headed fools believe you should get more than a great value for your money. We also have access to free vacuums and you can use them as long as it takes you to get your car spotless. Thank you. If your gate does not open automatically do not honk your horn to get their attention. I was chastised by a disrespectful young man whom I believe is the manager and threatened with cancellation of my account. I saved them the trouble by closing my own account. I have been with Tommy's since they opened but they still have some bugs to work out. They also need to hire more responsive and respectful employees. There is a flaw in their gate system that they refuse to even attempt to change. If you have a subscription and automatically trigger your gate, you may still have to wait several minutes before you can enter while they talk with a customer at the window. A few simple lines of programming code could change the gate opening requirement or timing for lane 1 cashier customers. As I was discussing the gate issue wIth this young man he brought up my frequent use of their facility. It seemed to be a problem that I use their car wash several times a week. I guess they want to take your $25.00/ month and have you only come in once a month. read more
