Well you sure look busy leaning on the counter. Luckily the guy working took the time to actually check the stock in the back AND online! Wow, someone who actually does their job right! But this hasn't been my first time here. On another occasion, the Asian guy with the dyed hair went above and beyond explaining releases and what they receive and tips on finding what I want. That guy was the reason I stopped by again, only to be ruined with Ms. IDon'tCare. So really, the workers can make or break your experience. Otherwise a cute lil store with great options for shoes and clothes.

The new location is a stone's throw away from the older spot. It's airy and bright for sure and even had a patio thrown in to enjoy the summer days. There is a pop-up food and drinks stall as well not sure what the long term plan is for this though. However I felt that space being smaller feels like they have less inventory on display here. A friend who's an advent shopper here noticed it immediately and commented that a lot less on display. Maybe it's because they had just opened up and the setup isn't complete yet. What will hopefully stay the same is the good service (I noticed it at times) that has sustained then for years. When one can shop globally what sets a business like apart IMO is the service and personalized touch. They have promos and sales that make them competitive value wise I have noticed. The majority of the sales floor is dedicated to casual but stylish gear that is either slightly industrial or military influenced in its appeal. Major brands from around the world including Japan can be found alongside a healthy dose of locally made stock. Accessories ranging from backpacks to leather goods make up a significant portion of the products on display. Everything about this place draws me in, from the excellent customer service to the nicely done decor. Garments are put at the forefront of all the visual merchandising, giving you a chance to imagine what wearing these threads might look like before you purchase them. It's spacious in here, and these guys are definitely experts when it comes to what they sell. Now that I've been acquainted, I'll be sure to drop in to look for those staple pieces that define one's wardrobe.

I purchased a pair of shoes from Uncle Otis Clothing online store last week. After I paid I was…read moreadvised that the shoes would ship and I would receive an email later with the shipping confirmation. I paid $200.00, for the shoes and Otis billed me an additional $45.00, to ship to Denver, Colorado. Earlier this week, I received the shipping confirmation, but I also received a separate email from the shipper, DHL, to let me know that I owed them an additional $72.81, and that if I did not pay in four days, the shipment would be sent back to Uncle Otis. I called Otis and was advised that because I live in the States, I would need to pay the duties on the order, and that if I didn't want to pay the duties, the shipment would be sent back to Uncle Otis Clothing and I would receive a refund, MINUS the $45.00, that I paid for shipping, so basically, I was on the hook for the $72.81, or I could send the shoes back and lose the $45.00, that I'd already paid. I was miffed to say the least and Otis was unhelpful when I emailed to ask why I paid over $115.00, just to ship. In fact, Uncle Otis Clothing didn't even have the ship to address correct, so that after I paid the extortion, so that I didn't end up paying $45.00, to get NOTHING, I had to call Uncle Otis Clothing back to sit on hold for a half hour white they called DHL to correct their mistake. To say this was mishandled is the understatement of 2025. The customer service was crap, as was the explanation of the return policy and why I was billed $117.81 for shoes that cost half of that cost. Uncle Otis Clothing is a complete scam and I will not stand silently by while companies like this one take advantage of people. The experience left a taste in my mouth that I would like to never taste again and I will continue spreading the word.

They recently moved to 370 Main Street N and the new location is 3X the size and AMAZING! They buy clothing from the public to stock their store so inventory is always changing. They're fair and make sure to select the best items for their racks. They buy casual clothing/everyday wear for teens and twenty year olds however I always see various age demographics shopping in there! You bring in your items and they sort through them in usually 20 minutes but can be longer depending on how busy they are. They select what they can sell and it gets priced 50-70% below original retail price, and then offer you 30-40% of that price upfront in cash, which is pretty fair for items you don't want or are going to donate anyway. They aren't a store to resell and make a huge profit, just get cash for clothes you don't love anymore but are still in good condition. They put on their sales floor what they Purchase so inventory all depends on what people are selling. Some days they're low on certain stock (like size 8-10 shoes) and the next time you go they have a ton! So best to check back often. They don't clean items on site but advertise that everything brought in has to be clean/freshly laundered. I've found most items to be clean and in good condition, sometimes items get damaged on the sales floor but when pointed out to staff they take them off the floor right away. Some of the reviews below are misleading and inaccurate all stores have policies, even thrift stores. I've always found them to be very accommodating and respectful. A great place, worth it to drop in and check out for sure - you will absolutely find something! I will continue to shop and sell there!

It's a loft-like space with lots of natural light and really well decorated. One thing that set it apart immediately, is it doesn't have that thrift store smell. They're true to their word that they're only selecting good quality items. Sure, some of the items are perhaps a bit plain, but you don't have to take too long to find a few things you'll like. It's certainly not the case of searching for a diamond in the rough. I imagine woman will like the place even more since about 80% of the floor space is for them. There were several shoppers there and they seemed to have no issue picking out great stuff too. Also, prices are GREAT! Anyone who's 'vintage' shopped in places like Kensington Market will know that things can still have relatively higher prices. My items were incredibly inexpensive, including a Banana Republic shirt which showed virtually no signs of wear for $10. I found out at the counter that this is actually a franchise as part of a fairly large chain (which I hadn't previously heard of). Regardless, they're a very unique and welcome edition to the city.
