During our one day stay in tombstone in eastern, we walked around the city and decided to stop at the visitor center to take a look inside. Short story: bad attitude of the lady in charge, my 8 yo kid sat in the sofa (beautiful antique green color) and took off his shoes, my wife asked him to do not put his shoes on the sofa and he did not follow the instruction the first time, then the lady took the initiative and asked him impolitely to do not put shoes on the sofa, right away my wife took my kid out of the visitor center and he ended putting back his shoes in the sidewalk. I was outside and realized about the scene and decided to get back and provide some explanation to the lady. I asked if she was having a good day and if she is open to learn something today, I told her about my understanding of the story about my son putting his shoes on the sofa, she told me that she addressed the issue correctly since my son was not following my wife's directions. Well, it was impossible for me to talk, she also warned me that she will call the Marshall, I decided to leave the building with full of frustration. The only thing I wanted to say is a brief story that my son is a nonverbal 8 yo with autism and following directions for him is harder than a regular development kid. I will not excuse my kid, but being in a public building that is suppose to welcome visitors and being open to listen is unacceptable. I hope the manager in charge of that place will address this situation and be prepared to handle diversity and inclusion. By the way Visiting all other places in tombstone is great !!! read more
