I really love this market because it's so food-focused, which is like "duh" with all the beautiful farms in the immediate vicinity.. but many of the "farmer's markets" I visit at home in DFW are overrun with crafts, so it's nice to be at one that's truly focused on local farmers. We bought fantastic green garlic, onions, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, kiwis and bananas, apples, grapefruit and oranges, fresh rosemary, orange marmalade and cranberry pepper jam, a white lemon balsamic vinegar, our favorite Valley Ford farmers cheese, a lovely strip steak, and a bouquet of flowers to enjoy during our short visit. We thought the prices were great and even a bargain for the quality of food. And we got a little purple Healdsburg Farmer's Market t-shirt for Winnie!

There was hardly anyone else there as it was late in the day, but it felt peaceful as we strolled and as if we had the whole place to ourselves. While the wine was quite good, what really makes this place stand out is their olive oil, the pollinator garden, and of course - Petunia the pig. As animal people, we gravitated to her and felt it was hard to pull away from her adorable grunts as we scratched her to sleep. Thankful for the downtime experience and excited to try the olive oil we purchased now that we're home!

We were on a tour that ordered from Big John's. We liked it so much we came back again the following day to grab another sandwich to eat while we were wine tasting. The store is a full market plus a big selection of pre-made and To Go foods. And they have a great wine selection! Lots of great locals finds there. Mind you... they don't carry Everyone and Everything but they have a lot of the local wineries there at reasonable prices. If you need to put together snacks (aka fancy Chacuterie) for a party, this is the place to go. It's better than Whole Paycheck (Foods) IMO and the prices are better. If you are staying at a rental with a kitchen, definitely come here to stock up on meats, breads and produce. Highly recommend making a stop here!

We went to a winery and we were recommended to come here from a local and it's definitely worth stopping by if you are staying in an Airbnb or a great place to find items for a charcuterie board or pretty picnic if you're doing one at the vineyard. We wished we had stopped by sooner in our trip! If comparing to LA grocers, this would be similar to Bristol Farms, but they had a wide variety of prices for their goods so that they had reasonably priced, nice items as well. This is an awesome farmers' market on hwy 116. Produce looked so good, they looked unreal. The place looked so colorful and picturesque, like a movie set. Only sorry we didn't buy more fruit. Great quality and prices seemed fair. The plums and nectarines were not mealy like some grocery store fruit. They were sweet, juicy, and crisp. They didn't last 1 meal. They were devoured that night as dessert after dinner. We also got some yummy chocolate covered caramels and espresso beans. The freeze dried veggie chips were crisp and not stale at all. Mike's Truck Garden may be worth changing my future driving route to the coast.

Beyond the super cute bee-adorned couch, they have honey from multiple other countries and it was a joy to talk honey and travel with the owner. In the end we were able to pick up some honey from Ireland and the UK in addition to a very tasty honey lollipop for my honey. I got to taste a couple of really interesting meads that were made locally, and got to hear a bit about the history of the person who made them. I got a bottle of the one that is full of winter spice flavors, which will be good for Thanksgiving. A friend with me who wanted some honey tried a few until she found the one she wanted. If you are a fan of honey or mead, this is a great place to check out.

We came here to purchase two gifts for people out of the area that love to cook. They have lots of gift sets or you can create your own. You can even purchase a glass of wine if you would like. The store has spa stuff and lots of gift items for those who love to cook and entertain. It's a relaxing ambiance and the whole downtown area is a great place to sip and shop with lots of great gift opportunities as well as great ways to relax and treat yourself.
