BUYER BEWARE! I made an appointment with this dealership to look at a Ford Bronco. Prior to my visit, I received multiple confirmations regarding both the appointment and the specific vehicle I was interested in. Terry from the online team confirmed my appointment, and about 30 minutes before my scheduled time, Chandler, the sales representative, called to confirm that I was still coming in. I arrived promptly at 5:00 PM and was told Chandler was busy but would be with me shortly. After waiting more than 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I was informed that the Bronco I had come to see had already been sold. Instead of offering a meaningful solution, I was told someone else could help me look around the lot for a different vehicle. I expressed my concerns to the sales manager, who seemed completely indifferent to the situation. The following day, Terry called to ask whether I was interested in another vehicle. When I explained my frustration about driving to the dealership for a vehicle that was no longer available, she responded by saying, "Well, it's first come, first served," and then proceeded to argue with me rather than address my concerns. I understand that vehicles can sell quickly. My issue is that the dealership confirmed both my appointment and the vehicle multiple times, yet no one notified me that it had been sold before I arrived. If you schedule an appointment with Tom Wood Ford to see a specific vehicle, be aware that it may be sold before you get there, and you may not receive any advance notice. It has been eight years since I visited with my dad to drive an old Lexus that would've been perfect however we left a lot sooner than we anticipated hearing the sleezy scam artist whine about "oh we purchased this for.....and so we dont wanna lose money on it!" We met Chandler who did his best but again still tied to the nonsense of petty price dealing. He threw around his trained numbers, warranties, dealership perks for a lot more price....oh help us. Just shut up! What is going on with dealers? How do you not realize people are browsing endless listings, chatting, researching, and trying to get basic information on multiple vehicles before walking into your dealer? After one hundred numbers within two weeks from twenty other dealers, who wants to drive the one Bronco they might like best but then have to hear a bunch more numbers? It is braindead! Bought a used Truck as is and I knew it would need things being a Ford Tech and manager for 45 years. Everything that it needed has been fixed and like new now. BUT the simple engine oil change they did before Truck put online to sell and they even put in a new drain plug but it leaks. I advised sales that they had done work only 55 miles ago and at least they should fix drain plug leak No feedback yet on that issue . Then when under truck found Driveshaft dangerous damaged could have failed and caused injury or worse that should have been noted to customer as a safety issue I had to fix that issue and Truck should have had safety issue advised to customer before buying or it should have been wholesaled off. I found that they give discounts to vets I was never told this by sales when I asked later they said only on new and flipped the script to do I want to buy a new one NO they can't even recheck their work for leaks on simple oil change why would I step up and spend $40k plus for a new one when can't get them to fix a drain plug leak they just had their hands on. I read reviews online so I doubt I will get any communication from them on issue. The Salesman was nice and the financial manager was super but the overall atmosphere of Dealership felt dead and too robotic No touchy feel. I would have hated to have dropped big bucks on new and have left with that feeling. I don't pick at this I only put this out so they don't sell unsafe vehicles to customers just wholesale them off and that maybe they recheck their workmanship doing repairs. I always told my Techs if the repair fails or looks bad on the outside what does it look like on the inside that you can't see. When I was a Ford manager I had 100% CSI rating from customers we did everything except baby sit their kids it retired in longtime customer returning for new vehicles or service year after year not bragging just would think a big name dealer would want the same. When we went to pick up, oil change was $96? The car wasn't washed and the next day when I checked tires for a trip I had to put 15 pounds in one tire and adjust two others. I was charged a $200 service fee, which I agreed to and signed off on under the assumption that my 12V battery issue might be covered under warranty. I later learned that the bumper-to-bumper warranty only applies up to 36,000 miles, and my vehicle was at approximately 42,000 miles at the time. When discussing this with the service manager, the interaction came across as condescending and unhelpful, which added to the frustration given how long the vehicle had already been waiting. When I asked for options, he told me to contact Ford directly and even threatened to withhold my vehicle until Ford paid for the repairs. I later found out that Ford had known about this issue for over a year. The defective part was replaced with another defective one, and Ford removed a key feature I paid for: the ability for my Explorer to switch to AWD as needed. Now, it stays in AWD all the time, which will negatively affect my gas mileage. After contacting Ford corporate and providing them with Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 23-2124, they were surprised I had this information. They agreed to cover part of the repair cost, but I still had to pay. This should have been a recall, not something hidden from customers. When I went to pick up my car, I had a much better experience with another service rep, but soon after, the rude service rep started texting me, arguing with me. I've repeatedly asked for a manager to stop the harassment, but no one has responded. In short, Tom Wood Ford doesn't stand behind their vehicles, and Ford doesn't care about customers once the sale is made. Made an appointment on 8/6 for service on 8/15 at 7:30 am. Dropped car off and asked if it would be done today, they said no, likely Monday. Got a text 6 hours later saying they would not even be able to diagnose or look at it until Tuesday or Wednesday, that they were just now getting to this past Tuesday's appointments. Could have told me this before I dropped off or even when I dropped off. I told the service writer that I made this appointment 9 days ago and to have the car sit for 6 days is not OK. Don't go there! Had an appointment for 9:00 AM Thursday for a simple side mirror repair. They didn't even look at it until Monday - FOR A 9 AM THURSDAY APPOINTMENT!!! Kept the car two more days. Service guy told us it was 1 1/2 hour of work. They kept our car for a week for a 1 1/2 hour repair - and we had an appointment. When we picked up the car, the repair was not done correctly. Half way home we had to turn around and get the repair REPAIRED! There is no way we will ever go back to this dealership. First, I bought a car from them, after making an appointment with them to see it, they "accidentally" drove the car 45 minutes to their other location, then tried to sell me other cars so they didn't have to bring the specific one I made an appointment for back, so I left. I get your job is to sell cars, but if an individual makes an appointment for a specific one, they want to see that one first at least! Most recent problem was with their service department. I made an appointment for repairs, and was never told to drop my car off. I drive the 45 minutes to their location, get inside, and the guy working the desk tells me I can't stay while it's being repaired because they were busy that day and wouldn't even get to my car that day so I should leave it with them over the weekend and they'll call me next week sometime when it's done... I had no backup plans for someone to pick me up, and I need my car for work, so I left and drove the 45 minutes home. Apparently they're supposed to tell you when it's a drop off vs. a stay & wait but no one ever did and this was the second time I wasted 1.5 hours of my life on Tom Wood Ford. This Ford location is great. I live ~15 minutes from Circle City Ford, but will double the journey just to visit this location. The staff are always friendly in the service department, with Jordan being awesome today! I hit one of Indy's famous potholes today and got a flat tire. I have a Volkswagen so it usually (yes, usually - this has happened about 10 times during my time in Indy!) takes a day to get my tire in. They were able to get my tire in around 2 hours and get me in same day! Keep in mind this is all during the COVID-19 crisis while things are already backed up. My tip for this location is that the good coffee machine is upstairs. I'm a tea/hot chocolate person and the hot chocolate was not working on the main one, but upstairs was going strong! read more

On Dec 9th, a verified date by Service Advisor, Chris Redman, I scheduled an appointment to have my spark plugs replaced on my F150. My appointment was set for 12/26 at 9:30am. I received notification messages via text with directions on how to check in when I arrived onsite. I was extremely excited up until the point of meeting Chris Redman, Service Advisor. Chris met me at his station and asked for my name. After clicking around for a few seconds, he stated 'Looks like THEY overpromised you.". I was told when I scheduled the service appointment that my vehicle would be in and out within the day. Having spent my morning working around this appointment, arranging for transportation, etc.. I had a few follow-up questions for Chris. 1) When are you able to get my vehicle serviced? Chris' response: "It will be at least 2 days as I have 4 techs out. They should have never scheduled this appointment with you." 2) I made this appointment weeks ago, it shouldn't have been a surprise. Chris's response: "Well today is the day of service and I don't have the people here to complete the work." He also confirmed for me that I had made the initial service request on 12/9/2022. 3) Who is "they" that you have stated made this mistake and why wasn't I contacted prior to arriving? Chris' response: They is JEREMY FORSYTH, Tom Wood Ford Parts & Service Director. That's right Jeremy, Chris threw you under the bus. Seems 'they' refers to Jeremy Forsyth and his staff that schedule appointments for paying customers of the service and parts department at Tom Wood Ford. Here is what it boils down to, Tom Wood Ford & Jeremy Forsyth, don't allow your customer service reps to pass the buck onto someone else -- it's just not a good look for your brand. All Chris needed to say to me from the beginning is that we are unexpectedly understaffed and unable to service your vehicle right now. Instead, he displayed and verbalized his inner frustration with his manager, Jeremey Forsyth, which had nothing to do with the customer service issue that I was experiencing. I visited the Tom Wood Ford showroom on Saturday, February 24, 2024 to shop for a new car. I received an email on Monday afternoon that included the price of the vehicle I wanted (minus tax and fees). I returned the following Saturday to purchase the vehicle. When the paperwork was presented to me the price of the car was now over $2000 more than what I had been quoted in writing less than one week prior. The manager said the salesman had made a mistake and the higher price was what I would have to pay. I asked them to honor the price I was quoted earlier in the week and expected they would. I took my car in to these guys because it would not start. I was told that the serpentine belt needed to be replaced before I left the lot. I was later told that my AC compressor needed to be replaced, which they were charging me $2,000 for. I took my car from there to Meineke and was told my AC compressor was fine. I just needed to replace the serpentine belt, which was only $400-500. Almost wasted $1500 more than in needed to. So I would say that these people are scammers and they will probably scam you as well. read more

We drove the car 10 miles home and it broke down. Tom Wood Ford has made no attempt to address the issue. In my opinion, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! We have over $7000 in repairs that we have to pay for. I have tried calling Tyler 3 times and left a voicemail. I have yet to hear back from him.
