I was approached by one of the many homeless that loiter close to this location as I got gas. He had dry chapped lips and open wounds. He asked if I could buy him a coffee and some lip balm and something for his wounds. I purchased those items and they were over $20.00. I was floored, but the guy needed the items and I thankfully was able to help him. If you are looking for value and are able to, there are other stores close by that are much more affordable.

I asked the gentleman before ringing me up if I could put in my phone number for the rewards... He said yes. I subsequently put in my phone number... I was surprised that when I got back up to the gas pump, I did not receive any discount. I went back in, asking for a refund and explaining that I was expecting to receive $.25 off.... He said, "oh you were expecting to receive $.25 off"... I said yes... Well, I thought yes mofo that's what I asked for in the first place... But I didn't say all that. I was there a little annoyed as he's just processing my refund and it doesn't say anything about how he lied to me in the first place... So I asked him... "So you don't honor the rewards that you said you did or what?" he's like no... Because we're a franchise.... OK mofo goodbye... Go take advantage of someone else. Prices are also super high here... This is the problem with small franchise. Owned gas stations in bad parts of town... They take advantage of consumers... Well #NotMe#NotToday..... I'm driving a mile down the road to get a fair price on gas and not get rolled over by a business just because they think they can..... Also, years ago I had a terrible experience at the taco Casa... Even though I love taco casa... That's attached to this gas station... I would just skip this place. It's unfortunate. They'll continue praying on those less fortunate. We have no other choice, but to shop here because they're walking or whatever... Hopefully they'll go out of business, or incorporate AI or robotics that will help them be more profitable without taking advantage of consumers. Shame on them. Disgraceful... Plus the whole place is dirty anyway like they don't know how to clean the premises or are familiar with Lysol....let alone a power washer..... Gross.

This location is above and beyond the largest 7-Eleven I've been too, but bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. I've kept my eye on how this location came into being. You might recall that in the not-so-distant past, the store was located on the Northeast corner of Preston and Alpha. It was there for many years, then a larger, competitor sprang up all around it. I'm sure that didn't sit well with the 7-Eleven folks, so they built an even more imposing and grandiose outpost to compete on the adjacent corner. The problem is, it's all style and no substance. The exterior looks cool and with the addition of a Laredo Taco Company on the inside, it appears to be a great stop to get all your convenience store essentials. However, the operational piece of this location is somewhat lacking and multiple times it made me rethink patronizing this location. Before going into my grievances, I want to recognize the good things. I like that there's ample parking. I drive an EV, so I don't need gas, so items a huge plus for me to pull up to the back parking lot and never have to navigate through the crowded gas pump area to find a spot. Love that! Next, the team here is nice and friendly. No complaints here whatsoever. They also have a self-checkout lane that is convenient and easy to use. Very quick in and out. Okay, now to what drives me nuts about this location. First- be sure to check the expiration date before you buy something here. Twice I've made purchases and got expired goods. One time for some milk and another for cheese and crackers. Never again- I'll always check from now on. Second, the smoothie machine is always broken. The smoothies are awesome- but there was a time when I came here like six times in a row and it was out of service every time. I asked an employee when it was going to be fixed and they said "tomorrow", and guess what- it wasn't fixed tomorrow or even days after that. Once it did get fixed, it was dispensing weird (like spilling over the cup), then the next day- the machine was BROKEN AGAIN! Oh and the one time the smoothie machine was working, they had no lids for the cups, so I used a Big Gulp lid that didn't fit and I looked like an absolute crazy person carrying around this drink with a giant lid. The whole time was was worried the drink was going to spill. Overall, it's great that this location carries a wider array of items, but the lack of attention to operations at the location will almost guarantee something will be amiss. There has to be a way to have the experience match the promise of this bigger, glitzy building. I honestly cannot recall a time I've been to this location where there wasn't some form of disappointment. Despite the good things going for it, those things are undermined by the lack of operational excellence.

To make story short, she didnt know her job and just like another store pushes whatever button to make customer, who actually works for a corporate store, pay more than what it is suppose to be and who actually knows his job. She needs to be fired and also not yell and refuse service as well... no wonder they have a 1. Something star rating

The guys are direct in letting you know what they can & can't do & how long it'll take- then being on time with their word. They don't mind giving estimates & usually are spot on if not a bit below the expected cost. They can be pricey but they also have no qualms about finding ways to lessen that price punch when they can. I highly recommend them whenever I can.

I was so sure he wasn't talking to me because I was so caught off guard, but he was. I told him to back up because I felt unsafe being a girl and I was the only customer at the time, and he kept screaming at me and telling me to get out. I was planning on purchasing some items and didn't even do that and quickly got out of the store. My husband was in the car and came inside, trying to understand what went wrong. We thought it was a language barrier, but he screamed at my husband and threatened him as well. Shocked to see another review of the same experience on their google reviews and that nothing has been done about it.
