The previous contractor had taken months to install flooring in my mother's kitchen, hallway and bathroom. Multiple inspections determined that a simple adjustment and completion of the project wasn't possible. The job was so bad that the entire floor that had been installed had to be ripped up and redone. We needed a redo- and we chose Bob's team. They did not disappoint. Gavin and Tyler were extremely courteous to my mom. They worked fast, showing up early and worked hard through the day. The cleanliness was immaculate and the job was done with care and precision. Wouldn't hesitate to refer them to anyone for a quote.

My husband and I have worked with our fair share of contractors and home improvement professionals…read moresince we became homeowners in 2008. Lee is the best. I wish we had found him years ago. He does quality, thorough work, and takes time to explain what he's doing along the way. His rates are affordable, too. I was really impressed, and grateful to have discovered him. And the icing on the cake was that, within two days of finishing each project, we received a personal note from him, thanking us for choosing him for our project. We spent thousands on a bathroom remodel last year and never even got a verbal thank-you from the contractor. This was just a small job, and the fact that Lee took the time to write us a note really made him stand out. I would recommend Lee to anyone. He is truly a class act who is very skilled at what he does.

We couldn't be happier with our new porch--what a transformation! Iron Castle Construction's skill…read moreand professionalism are as impressive as the outcome itself. Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. We're excited to tackle future projects together and recommend Iron Castle to everyone we know.

I honestly feel a bit bad leaving a 3-star review here because everyone I interacted with at Iron…read moreCastle Construction was genuinely kind, respectful, and responsible. On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.
