In my personal experience, many of the positive google reviews seem questionable, so I recommend reading them carefully before signing up.(Yelp reviews is only two stars) I wasn't told that once you join, you are committed to a 12-month contract, and they will not refund your money--even if you cancel within the first week. I paid $750 for the first month, but after realizing the program was not what I expected, I requested a refund and was denied. The coach I was assigned felt unprofessional and unreliable, and the support I expected was not provided. Another thing that caused confusion is the name. I am an independent agent and own my real estate company. I was ready to on board agents and grow my business. After being invited by a title company to a Tom Ferry event, I was introduced to the coaching program and thought it was the right time to invest. What a waste of money. The explanation of what they deliver sounds amazing but the actual product of what they provide wasn't a match. I was promised I would not have to reinvent the wheel, other agent's successful tools would be available to me. When it came time to upgrade my listing presentation, there was nothing that truly helped. I was on my own again. I'm a seasoned solo agent and my business was down about 90%. Nothing seemed to be working so I reached out to the TF organization. They said if I was not happy I would get my money back. That did not happen and I am very unhappy. Make sure you get that in writing from them before you sign. They promise resources, templates, etc. however, there are very few and what is available is outdated and not fit for today's world of real estate. Some people are coachable. Some are not. I'm somewhere in between. When I signed up, I shared the areas I most wanted help with; TF assigned me to the perfect coach, Marna Friedman. She has been amazing and has offered many suggestions for me to grow my business. She is receptive to my feedback, she is flexible and always responsive, even outside our scheduled calls. Every coach is different, just like every one of us is different. I was told from the get-go that if I wasn't hitting it off with my coach, I could request a new one. Some agents request new coaches, even if they like their coach...sometimes you need a change to take you to the next level. The key is to be receptive and perceptive...and take action. It won't work if you don't do it. As for resources, there are way more resources than I can take advantage of. I love Tom Ferry and am so glad I took the plunge and signed up. It's clear the TF program has had success hence why I am giving them 2 stars. Just NOT for me. Being in the industry of course Tom Ferry training comes up everywhere. I caved and called. I had a magnificent conversation with Cheryl and was beyond excited. That has and was the only part I enjoyed since. Cheryl told me don't worry you have basically a week to think about it. Monday is a holiday so you have until Friday if you change your mind mind. Perfect! Well I had my first call Tuesday with someone to go over the site. The girl was sweet but her "boyfriend " whom was also working from homes conversations and laughter was interesting during our call. Whatever given the times we all have to work from home... but really?! Next we get the call from Doug... quick maybe 15 questions-Max to place me with my coach that I'm paying 7100 for. Not a personality test, no research done on my social media etc. Says "is that it"?...lol i don't know, Doug I'm coming to you for help. I don't know what questions you need to know?!? Lol Doug tells me I'm probably going to hear from someone else for more questions. As you may know by now my 4 days are almost up. Sherry calls... Sherry reiterates what Doug asked and confirms my answers lol. 20 minutes later my coach is assigned! Yay!! Right?! Then I get this text message.. already feeling like what the hell is this company doing??... here comes this generic pre-recorded video from my coach. Inorganic, uncomfortable, stiffening and rolling her eyes to get through it... telling me how excited she is to work with "ME"... YOU CANT BE SERIOUS! For the amount I am paying you can't take a minute out of your day to personalize a message to me lol.?!? At least make me feel halfway sold here. So of course I do my research. Now my question here is wouldn't you want to be impressed by your coach? I would! Looking her up since that was so easy.. we're in the same state. She's a broker and sells in a way different market from me. I could go into detail down into numbers and her social media but clearly it was enough to make me feel taken advantage of and that this is a waste of my money. I have been a coaching student of Tom Ferry's program for the past several months and I've worked diligently to make my business successful. In October, my husband became critically ill with COVID-19 and nearly died. Additionally, I began having health issues that were challenging my ability to give my all to the program. I had an initial call with a representative two weeks ago. They've basically taken my money and ran with no customer support or relief in sight. Yep. None of it. All lies on a recorded line. I spoke to my coach who I was assigned to 8-9 days after the first call (keep in mind cancellation needs to be within 3 days). My coach within the first 15 minutes admitted she had never worked with an agent in my market, and doesn't produce even close to what was said. She said someone would get back with me to discuss the discrepancies but no one ever did until I reached out again the following week. I spoke to the coach assignment person, she admitted that she did pull the initial call and I was in fact lied to. They unfortunately don't have any coaches in my area (at all). They wanted to connect me to a coach in a different market. When I asked what his qualifications were and track record in real estate, it turns out that they were less than mine! I pressed on the other lies and she said "that's above me but I will have someone call you today ". No call. I'm three weeks in now. Not a single coaching call. I put in a customer support ticket, 24-48 hr response time, 72hr later no customer support. Contract says if you cancel you are responsible for 12months anyway. I will be speaking to legal counsel. Same experience as many people on this site. Im trying to cancel the contract that I thought was month to month, not yearly. They push an Ipad in front of you and give no time to read through the information, then quickly forward the the space for your cc number. I also signed up, then within a couple weeks my coach took two weeks off and another week off for an event which is a breach of contract with this amount of money. Then when I tried to cancel the woman was very rude, refused to cancel it and threatened to put it in collections. I was so upset I was roped into accepting another offer from them just in order to get the monthly payment down as I don't have the money to keep up with 1300 a month. I have watched his videos for some months now, and found them motivating. My husband and I considered the coaching program and signed up for a free consultation. Justin was nice and friendly at first.. we had a 45 minute phone conversation in which he mostly asked about our sales tactics and talked about how their coaching would work for us (just a sales pitch the whole time, which was expected.) They made me take down my yelp review to "settle" with me for 6 months' fees instead of the full year after I complained about the scam I let myself get caught in. I would not do business with Tom Ferry or his organization. This August I was watching a video of his, on his website. The chat lady popped up on the screen and I set up an appointment. The next day on the call the salesman presented the price at my request and I said yes to coaching but during the purchasing part of the call the salesman lied to me about figures and income of another agent (I asked specifically about the agent's name he threw out there) I know how many sales and money the agent makes. The sales person lied dramatically about the numbers and I was like no way and I checked the numbers again. So I cancelled the same day. I did as the cancellation told me to on the 3 day cancellation period, which is the Law. I had no intention of writing this review because I was hoping it was a fluke, but the "Manager" who called to save the deal blew off the fact that the salesman lied like it was no big deal. I also have not gotten my $3444.00 back its been over 10 business days. During this time Ferry's people have been attempting to get me to join coaching sessions and I have sent them several emails and text messages saying I cancelled the program. I even sent them certified mail with the cancellation form(sent the next business day) which they signed. I have taken alternative measures to retrieve my money if that doesn't work from the looks of the other yelp reviews there's enough people for what comes next. I can honestly say that coaching with Tom Ferry has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My business doubled last year, thanks to the systems, creative marketing ideas and accountability you get from the coaching and the seminars offers (like Sales Edge, the Elite Retreat and the Summit). Since beginning coaching, My partner and I have hired two team members. The piece of advice I can give (this is what we did) is to attend an event like the Summit and spend the majority of the lunches talking to as many coaches as possible, so that you can request two or three coaches whom you would really like to work with. I find Tom Ferry's videos and information helpful. Having that said, I wanted to enroll in the coaching program. It is a big investment, especially for those like me who are trying to get the feet wet in the business. I was still going to enroll anyways, since I am committed to making myself better and being a better real estate agent. What ultimately made me decided NOT to enroll in the program is the "coach consultant", or the salesperson who gave me a call for a "free coaching session". I do understand that it will lead to a sales pitch, but that's all it was. A sales pitch. The person actually asked me to take my credit card right now and sign the contract online. He kept cutting me off while I was talking. Again, I understand that he's trying to sell a service to me, as I do to my clients and customers. But he was way too pushy to a point that made me decide NOT to enroll in coaching. Also, I have seen reviews about past clients not being able to get refunds because they didn't attend the Success Summit (which one would need to pay separately to attend). I had brought that up, and the answer from the salesperson was that they are that confident in the program, and never had to refund anybody. And that was the last straw. He offers a money back guarantee, saying that if you don't make 5x your investment back ($72,000) in GCI within the coaching timeframe, they will give your money back. Well, unfortunately I didn't hit that mark of additional GCI and for the past TWO MONTHS after my coaching ended I've been trying to get my money back, but to no avail. I honestly can't imagine what takes them so long to review your file and give you the money back. Why even offer this guarantee if you are just trying to get away with taking my money? The only reason I signed up for coaching was the guarantee. I assume many people are in the same boat. I didn't have an extra $14,000 laying around to throw away. Tom paints the picture in his sales pitch that him and his coaches have THE SECRET answer to help your real estate business. When it came down to it, most of what they told me to do was cold calling and spend thousands of dollars on advertising to get more business. It's like yeah, I could have done that on my own without giving you 14k. I really wish I would have read Yelp and BBB reviews before I signed up. Still hoping to get my money back but it might come to me having to take them to court. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. STAY AWAY! In my experience, this service was a complete rip-off. I enrolled into the program on March 16, 2016 in order to accomplish the specific goal of bringing structure to my growing real estate career by creating a system that would allow me geographical mobility. The sales person and my coach at Tom Ferry promised this was possible through their system. This could not be further from the truth. The coach assigned to me was located in Mexico and even though she had real estate training she did not have direct practical experience and/or specific knowledge of the Miami and/or US market. Instead of helping me make my business model evolve, they suggested very outdated sales techniques such as: pasting a huge sticker on my car advertising my services, making people at Starbucks refer to me by my job title and door-knocking. Additionally, most coaching calls were very vague in content and creation or execution of business strategies. My coach, who was brand new to coaching at the time, rarely ever remembered what she had assigned to me on the preceding call and didn't follow up with my specific tasks to see if I was making progress. Even if it made no sense for my specific case, I still followed the majority of the assessments indicated by the coach such as: sent out post cards to specific farming area; held an open house (even though I worked mainly on the buyer side); completed all modules of Break Through By Design; continuously implemented powerful morning routine and affirmations; created Done, Doing, Done and Business Tracking boards; attended Sales Edge in Boston on February 2017 and spoke to at least 5 clients per day. However, a proper screening of work environment and legal regulations of different states was not taken in consideration at the time of the implementation of the assessments. The coach's main advice, knocking on doors, is very hard to perform in Florida, not only because of the high rise buildings' restrictions to have access to the properties but also because it might be considered solicitation, according to the Florida Statutes. In addition, the program's assessments encourages Tom Ferry coachees to spend a lot money on its partner companies (such as Zillow), instead of more effective and economic ways such as Facebook and/or social media ads. I completed the whole program for 12 months, as required by Tom Ferry, and since my coach or their system did not take into consideration my skills, background and market where I worked, I was not able to see any results and/or changes on my business with the coaching advice I was given. The Tom Ferry coaching program constitutes false advertisement. However, I was not able to exercise the money back guarantee of the program because it's designed to make it impossible to apply. Every person I spoke with at Tom Ferry had no interest in understanding what went wrong with my case in order to improve their services. I believe you need to hear my story before signing up for Tom Ferry Coaching. As I read the other reviews on this site. I really wish I had followed my own advice before making the mistake of signing up for this program without considering other peoples experiences. About 15 months ago I realized I was in a rut, Although I've made a decent living in real estate, I needed to fine tune my business in order to get to the next level. As I interviewed coaching companies I was very clear that I didn't need a cheerleader. I'm already motivated and eager to succeed. I needed someone to discuss every aspect of my business to help me make the best decisions about how to move forward. At the time I was a regular listener to the Tom Ferry Show and really liked the information provided on that free program. I thought a one on one program would have been even better. Long story short, I was bounced around to three different coaches all with different styles, Only one of them really ever got to know my business at all. And one of them was so unqualified to be a coach that she single-handedly set my business back months by convincing me to abandon my producing type of business to pursue another. I can hardly believe that I was willing to follow her advice but when you're paying big money for expert advice... Finally, I ended up with a coach willing to answer questions. I really had a different attitude by now and our calls were very different because I took control and asked my questions first. The remaining few months were a struggle since I had lost so much ground. I ended my first year of coaching with about 1/3rd fewer transactions than the previous 12 months. Here's the kicker. At the summit event we were all told that if we didn't improve our performance by at least 3 transactions, we'd get a full refund. Completely not true. The fine print states that if you complete 3 transactions total, then you do not qualify for the guarantee. What productive agent doesn't already to 3 deals per year? The guarantee is absolutely worthless. I had Tom's number and sent him a text and an email. To his credit, he did respond and thanked me for letting him know. He even said he was going to forward the email to the president of the company. That was the last contact I've had with them. That was several months ago. I have to tell how truly disappointed I am with the entire experience. I feel like I was misled to begin with and simply ignored when they should have stepped up. I prepared to be pitched to and while having a timeshare background, I know a hard close when I hear one. And my 1st consultant Justin hit me with every guilt trip under the sun. I didn't sign up then, but signed up during a follow up 3 weeks later, more so because I WANT TO, and I have had faith in Tom Ferry because he is awesome at marketing and presenting himself. After reading these reviews so recent about how unethical and or elementary the services have been for many, I have chosen to rescind on my contract as stated on page 3 lines 1-6 of the contract. I should have know better when I look at the contract (my bad) and seen that you had to sign for a year up front and if you stop that the total of closet to $8,000 would be due. Their sales team is say whatever they need to in order to get you to sign up and their company doesn't back up the "claims" made by the sales associates. If you're not a high paying once a week coaching client who is a high producer expect to get transferred around to a number of different coaches as they're matching process is less than ideal. Terrible customer service. I've been calling the person responsible for my cancellation since last week. He never picked up the phone or responded my calls/ Tex messages. Now that I could get hold of him he tells me that they won't give me my money back, money that I paid upfront, even though I'm not even going to use the coaching for the next 4.5 months. I will say I really like Tom! And all the value he shares on YouTube. But I signed up for a consultation call. Time blocked it into my morning. I even got a call 40 minutes prior to my scheduled call confirming my call. The coach called me 14 minutes late and asked if it was still a good time... I told her I had an appt at the next hour. No apology from her just told me in a seemingly annoyed tone that we should reschedule then. And that someone from scheduling would be calling me to reschedule. Never got a call back. Probably for the better. Not the best foot to start off on. I guess I'll keep looking. read more

I contacted this company, as I'm looking forward to getting great coaching. I've been with two other coaching services and was not impressed. Very knowledgeable company owners, but their coaches fell short. My free "coaching" call: This was not a coaching call, this was a sales pitch. Brian, the "coach" didn't do anything for me, he simply took my time to assess my situation and pitch the sale. I was told (not shown) how great their coaching was. Complete waste of my time which ended poorly! Unfortunately, I'm not impressed. When Brian asked who was the decision maker (me) and when he could follow up with me, I told him two weeks. He said that most people won't hire them if they wait two weeks. I said that it was summer; I'm busy and I'd like to spend time with my kids. His services were not my top priority. He said that he wanted to get an answer from me sooner. I reiterated that the reason why I was contacting him was to protect my time with family. He said that if I was calling on a listing I'd want an answer, so he wanted an answer too. I said, "No. There is your answer". Now I can have the time to research your company and come back to you in the two weeks I asked for. I'm hoping to change my mind in the future. I'm sure that there are some benefits many of you have found and I'd like to find them too. read more

Based on his summit, I thought his coaching will help my increase business and teach me techniques that I don't know so I signed up for his coaching and I was assigned a coach; after couple of sessions, I saw nothing new, everything that coach said everyone know. Why should you pay $499 a month for things that you already know!! Coach is suppose to teach you ways and guide you to a route that is best fit for you. Every individual works differently therefore, to find the right match and right coach isn't easy to do but these people decide this over a night!! As the result, everything that he said in his summit was a misrepresentation! he pumps you and mentally plays with you so that you think there is no other program better than his. On the other hand, I found out that his crew (employees) have charge my credit card that were never given authorization for Coaching sessions!! And then, when I emailed them and told them why you charged the credit card that you were not authorized to charge for coaching, they took a snap shot of something totally different and send it to me and thought I won't notice their wrong doings and actions!! read more

I talked with Tom Hagan over the phone a few times and got some great help and advice. It's early in my real estate career so I wasn't ready for this level of coaching, and Tom wasn't pushy or upset that I wasn't going to sign up. Definitely was a good experience! read more

Waste.Of.Money. I spent $500 a month for 12 months. They are awful! Skipped appointments with me, called on wrong days, never seemed to recall last coaching session or goals... just really bad service all the way around. Save your money. My broker has great advice and coaching and Its free! ***UPDATE*** In all fairness, someone from Tom Ferry did reach out to me after I posted my review. The told me I had 7 unused coaching calls and they would assign a new coach for those calls plus give me 3 additional calls. The new coach was much better, she called on time and never missed an appointment. She also seemed to remember where we left off. Had I had someone like her to begin with, it could have been a more positive experience for me. Because of this I changed my rating to 3 stars instead of the 1 star I had originally given. More care should be taken to be sure the coaches assigned to you are a match, that they understand the importance of knowing and remembering their clients and that they are extremely organized and on time with their calls. read more

These guys are salesmen, not coaches. After a seminar I gave them my info so they could reach out to see about signing up for coaching. After two weeks and nothing but calls asking me to buy different tickets to their events, finally got a call from there 'coaching department.' It was 15 minutes of someone telling me what a failure I was. I politely said I'd think about it. He agreed to call me in a week. It's been months now... Still get the calls asking me to buy tickets, no coaching return call yet. I wouldn't have posted in Yelp but everyone I've asked are disgusted by these guys too. Don't waste your money. read more

Update: I have increased the rating because I received message that someone from TF was going to reach out. Fingers crossed that our conversation is meaningful and goes well for both of us. Update: As you can see this rating has gone up due to the contact that was made. At this point they wanted me to reach out to the original sales person (Justin) and let him know that I spoke with the agent in retention. The agent, I believe Naureen/Noreen, (my apologies if spelled it wrong) suggested I try a different, less expensive option, but to let Justin know that she instructed me to contact him. I emailed him and am sure he will reach out to me in the future. Update number 3: Rating increased to a 4 star for the professionalism and efficiency that the company had displayed over the past week. I was provided free access to the "Breakthrough" online training which is possibly common for them to do, but not the point. Thanks for the assistance and I am looking forward to the "Sales Edge" training and will provide you with a short review and whether worth the $. Thanks Justin and Noreen.
