It is too bad this place is so dirty. The food was really good. The appetizer was excellent. It was a shrimp tempura including vegetables. We tried scallops and steak combo and teriyaki chicken. Both good, and well seasoned. Clean that place up! read more

Tokyo is normally pretty good, I've had their food a few times before. The take-out order I received tonight was disappointing. The food was ready on time and i did not have to wait long to pick it up. Besides the tasteless food I received, I was contacted an hour and a half after picking up my food. The gentleman on the phone told me I did not pick up my food, and that I had not paid for it. After informed him that I had picked up my food, paid for it, and eaten it by this time, he refused to listen. It took me looking up my statement and telling him that my account had been charged before he recited an order to me that was not mine. Please do not call your customers late at night, argue with them, and serve poor quality food. Tokyo can do better than this, I will not be returning any time soon. Kobe and Green Ginger in PTC, and Senkaku off of 154 near Thomas Crossroads, all have much better food than Tokyo. read more

Tokyo has the best sushi in Newnan. We eat here 2 to 3 times a week. I have never had bad service. The staff is always very friendly. Also, they have a happy hour where the rolls are half price. Not exactly sure but I think 3-5 everyday. Even to go. Always good. They also have $1 sushi all day Tuesdays. Do yourself a favor and check them out. read more

I have eaten here several times. For the price the food isn't that great. It's actually only a slight step above strip mall food or Panda Express. Their hours say they are open until 10pm. Apparently that's not true. We were refused service at 9:20. I stated "but you close at 10?" He said "No. We close at 9:30" I will never return here. Here is the deal. This place has decent food, not great, and terrible customer service. We went with a group of 8 on a Saturday night. After assuring us 3 times that special posted at the front door was valid that night, our young waitress informed us that it actually wasn't valid. Of course, we had all already ordered. In fact while placing our orders, she assured us, "Even if that's not the special, I will make sure you get it." As a result everyone's order was 4$-10$ higher that anticipated. To our dismay, the manager would not honor the special. He walked around to greet every table but ours. It was the waitresses fault for giving us bad information but we were very disappointed when management's reaction. Not only that but the kitchen said they were too busy to make a requested item even though the restuarant was about 50% full and there was not a wait to sit down. Overall, I would say Tokyo does not care about its customers and we no longer care for Tokyo. I hear the Asian Chef down the road has great service though! read more

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in town. They have the best food and the best prices. The servers are always nice and welcoming whenever I come in. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the food is not always consistent, some days it's better than others, but it's always delicious. The sushi and service was great! My family (1 adult, 3 children) got the two love boat and it was funny how the waitress came back to check if we really wanted the boats. We are new in town and kept smelling the yummy aroma from this restaurant so we finally gave in and decided to check it out. Service was awful, so very slow and it was a Monday night!!! Soup was bland, salad came out of the bottom of a bag, edamame was over heated and should be served on a plate so it doesn't keep cooking and our order (hibachi chicken and filet mignon) were nothing more than ordinary. I ordered a soup and I wasn't satisfied after taking one spoon full and I called and asked if I could have it replaced or get my money back and was told " no that's how it taste" then I explained that Ive gotten this soup serval times and I simply wasn't satisfied then I was told in a very nasty rude way that I could bring it back and before being hung up on I was called a "fucking bitch". I went in the building and asked for a manager and I was told that the host or the person at the door who I received my Togo order from and person who called me. "Fucking bitch" was a manger I explain the situation to him and asked if there was someone else I could speak to in then he said no and then snatch the bag out of my hand and said "let me check it let me check it " basically trying to talk over me and then finally gave me the money back. DO NOT EAT THIS PLACES FOOD. YOU WILL GET SICK.. After eating the food, my partner and I were throwing up and had terrible stomach problems for 2 days. Luckily we have two bathrooms. I attempted to speak with management on the issue to see if they were interested in making things right. I was hung up on twice and told that I have to go see a doctor for any kind of refund. Kinda hard when you spend two days in a bathroom. I am a proud recovering alcoholic who has been clean for 7 years and I haven't felt pain like this since being hospitalized for withdrawal. I live my life trying to do the next right thing everyday. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We visited on a Saturday evening, and with a party of 6 we had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat at the hibachi grill. My initial impression walking in was that the decor was excellent, the staff greeted us immediately and the other customers were all chatting and seemed to be enjoying their visit also. When we were seated, the wraparound table around the grill was clean and the places had been set for us. They took our drink orders immediately and promptly returned with our drinks. Next came some very tasty soup. Shortly after that we were all served salads with a nice slightly spicy dressing. It had just enough zip to call it spicy. Then, after we placed our orders, we only had a short wait for the appetizer dish, Tiger Eye. Since this was my first time trying squid, I'm undecided about that, but I could've eaten an entire plate of the wonderful smoked salmon it was wrapped around! While the appetizer was being eaten, our chef came out and got started. It was a most enjoyable performance compared to a regular restaurant, sort of a combination of dinner and standup comedy all wrapped up in one. His friendly banter and the occasional fireball definitely kept us entertained. Everyone in our party agreed that the yum yum sauce for the fried rice was awesome. I had the filet mignon and shrimp. I had to alternate bites of each to prevent myself from filling up on one or the other. We received enough food that even after we were stuffed, we were still able to fill to-go boxes for everyone. Me and my wife have been here a few times and have always had a good experience. We went for Valentines Day and we will never go again. The wait was 45 mins and we were sat in about 30(only good thing that happened). We sat at the bar while waiting and were asked only once if we needed anything and one of the servers was eating behind the bar. Gross! Once we were sat, we literally waited another 30 mins before our drinks were even brought. The waitress was rude while taking orders but brought us our soup pretty quickly. Here's the worst part....as I was eating my soup I found a huge shard of GLASS at the bottom of my bowl! I was terrified. I immediately told the waitress and after apologizing she asked me if I wanted more soup. Of course I want more soup which could quite possibly have more glass in it...NOT! From there the rest of the meal was awful. I was panicking, my rice was burnt, my wife's chicken tasted old and it was over cooked. The manager did take a wopping $8 off the check but never had the decency to Come over and apologize! According to the waitress she was too busy Never again will we go there.
