The BEST hibachi in Newnan -- no debate. Let's get into it. The vibe is exactly what you expect from a Japanese‑themed spot, but the real magic is their host. During special occasions, he comes out with a guitar, a wig, a full costume -- the whole production. It's hilarious, unexpected, and honestly part of the charm. The food? Always cooked well, always consistent. Portions are generous, even with the lunch specials. I'm not usually a "yummy yummy" sauce person, but theirs is *actually* delicious. Speaking of lunch, the $10 hibachi special comes with a salad and will absolutely fill you up. Add fried rice for a small upcharge, and you're still walking out at around $15. Easily the best lunch deal in town. The cooks are sweet and full of personality, and the servers are on it. You can barely get your drink halfway down before someone is topping it off. Prices are more than fair, especially compared to other spots that charge more and give you less. If you want good food, good portions, and good energy, this place delivers every single time. read more

I went there once to celebrate my friend's birthday at the hibachi grill. The performance was amazing and we really connected with the hibachi chef. He was so funny. The ambiance is great, love the decor. read more

It's just meh Hibachi in a small town. It was lunch, the table wasn't full. They automatically put a tip on your ticket, so pay attention. Place is noisy, but it's hibachi so what do you expect? read more

Very large portions. Amazing staff. The rice is the best thing I've had in a min. My chicken was a bit undercooked not by much. Could have been seasoned a bit more. But overall it was a pretty decent experience. read more

Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse - Where the Food Had Potential, but the Service Needed CPR Alright, listen up, because I'm about to save y'all some time, money, and possibly a trip to the ER if you've got food allergies. Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse gave me a rollercoaster of an experience, and I ain't talking about a smooth ride--I'm talking about that rickety carnival rollercoaster that got you praying mid-loop. Ambiance - 8/10 It's clean, lively, and loud, just like you'd expect from a hibachi spot. Definitely kid-friendly--meaning if you don't like random children staring at your food like they're waiting for a bite, this might not be your scene. Not too fancy, not too basic--just right in the middle. Service - 4.8/10 (And That's Me Being Generous) Now let's talk about this service situation because boy oh boy... it was shaky at best. * The waiter? Decent, but not locked in. I had to request refills like I was negotiating a business deal. Water? Had to ask. Extra sauce? Had to ask. Basic human attention? Had to ask. * Now, the real problem: the chef. He had one job--cook the food right and keep folks alive. But when someone in my party mentioned a shellfish allergy, he said, "Got it," then proceeded to touch the shrimp, remove it, and act like nothing happened. Sir, this is not a 'pick it off the pizza' situation! That's a lawsuit waiting to happen! * On top of that, nobody who ordered double rice actually got it because the chef hit us with the classic "I ain't know" excuse. Sir, it's your job to know. Food - The Only Reason I Ain't Walk Out Mid-Meal Filet Mignon - 8.9/10 Let me tell you, this steak was so tender it almost made me forgive the service. Juicy, flavorful, cooked right--chef got this part together, I'll give him that. Shrimp - 6.7/10 Not bad, not great. Good texture, decent flavor, but nothing making me say, 'I gotta come back for this.' Chicken - 7.8/10 I could taste the potential in this chicken, but that's all it was--potential. Like an NBA draft pick that never quite became a star. A little more seasoning and it could've been great, but as it stands? Mid. Final Verdict - 6.5/10 (Go for the Steak, Pray for the Service) If you go here, prepare to be on high alert--if you've got food allergies, maybe bring your own utensils just in case. The food was solid, but the service had me stressed. Would I come back? Maybe... but only if I'm craving that filet mignon. Would I recommend it? If you've got patience and don't mind playing 'guess if my order is right,' go for it. Otherwise, hit another hibachi spot where the chef knows the difference between 'notified' and 'neglected.' read more

Food was subpar. We chose to not sit on the hibachi side because we wanted sushi primarily. 1 of the 3 rolls was decent. The entire interior needs a refresh. (Step back into the 90's) It's definitely not what it used to be and the loud birthday singing w /guitar was awful! The prices are quite high for subpar food. If you want great sushi go to Go Juu in Ashley Park. Never again! read more

My son had lunch here today with a friend. They each ordered a meal and an order of crab Rangoon to share between the 2 of them. They were brought 2 orders of crab Rangoon and when they pointed out they only ordered one they were told that they "could not return" the extra order. My son paid for it because he didn't know what else to do. read more

Went to the hibachi grill side and had the lobster tails, we split them. The grilled vegetables were cooked to perfection. We had the best cook that really loved his job, he entertained the whole table with his knife skills. The lobster was cooked perfect, very tender. The whole experience was awesome!! I did not order off the all you can eat menu, but the two rolls I ordered were a really good quality The service was excellent I would definitely come here again The Teppanyaki tables were pretty crowded for lunch. I would be easily attempted to come back here for that. We planned a birthday party for dinner there. We had a RESERVATION for a Hibachi table at 5:30. ALL members of our party were there at 5:30 PROMPTLY. NO tables available. "But we have a 530 reservation" ? The man told us "But everyone there HAS a reservation" SOOO, we sat there for 45, 45 MINUTES!! Can you say Seinfeld episode??? Went for my father in laws birthday with my wife and her family. We did not sit at a hibachi table. We sat at a table towards the middle of the restaurant. The restaurant was inviting, and smelt very nice. We got multiple Sushi boats, fried rice, and hibachi steak. It was all very good, we ate so much sushi and sashimi. I tried some of the steak and it was all extremely good. It was cooked well and the teriyaki sauce was very good. I have no complaints! The service was good, our waiter was attentive and timely. He wasn't very personable however he did everything that we asked of him and was nice enough. A man was walking around with a guitar and was playing songs for different folks birthdays, and he came over and sang "forever young" for my father in law. It was a fun experience and the food was good. Will likely return in the future! read more

After a long day at work, why not eat pick a place to eat that offers entertainment, Japanese food, and real life flames that light in front of your eyes right? I guess that's why I ended up here, and it certainly did not disappoint! I came in around 6:30ish with a couple other people, and were seated immediately. The interior had nothing special, and honestly thought it could be updated, but we were greeted and got great service throughout the night. Anyways, we sat down and were combined with another group of 3, and waited a little bit as we waited for the next hibachi chef to finish with another table. Eventually, a chef that goes by KC arrived, and the fireworks started. KC did a phenomenal job entertaining us the whole time he was cooking for us, as he was witty and very open for conversation. As for the food, I ordered the Shrimp and Filet Mignon dinner combo with fried rice, and was certainly not disappointed! The fried rice was great, not too salty, and the Shrimp and Filet Mignon were cooked well to my liking. You definitely want to drink a lot of water too as the food is very flavorful as well. The food is made as you'd expect it, and you definitely get a great combination of entertainment and decent food here! I definitely recommend eating at this restaurant if there is a special occasion, or if you want a sightly more immersive experience! I would probably go again during lunch this time, as the prices are a lot better at that time and it's the same service and portions, but definitely a place to check out! read more

Went for a birthday celebration. Large party (22 people) so imagine my surprise that they only had 2 chefs and one waiter working. While I'm fully cognizant that Covid has created staffing challenges, the reservation was made with enough notice and if it was going to be a challenge the party should have been notified. Staff seemed totally overwhelmed and we were hesitant to ask for anything because it seemed as if we were a bother. Habachi is supposed to be fun. SMH! Drinks took a while and I along with another diner ended up going to the bar to grab our drinks from the bartender because our waiter was running around by himself. Manager stopped by briefly to tell us that 15 of us at one table had to eat first because with only 2 chefs, one was working with our group and the other was taking care of other patrons. . So, we got started and the other part of our group had to wait almost 30 minutes before their food got started. Food quality was good and portions generous but if I were to go back, I'd recommend no large gatherings. . read more

This place never fails to disappoint. I walked and and waited to be seated and the lady pointed at a table and said "sit there" and went back to whatever she was doing. Didn't walk me to my table or anything. I then proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes without so much as a glance from anyone working. It was not busy and yet not a single person working there spoke to me. I got up and walked out. read more

Came in for birthday lunch with the family. 14 total of us. We had to wait in the entry for 15 minutes since we wanted to sit at the hibachi. The waiter came and took our drink orders. It took a while for them to come. Then our salads were up and the mushroom soup. Our party was split between 2 chefs. One chef came out about 5-10 minutes before the other one so when half our party was done eating the other half had just gotten their food. I got the steak and scallops and it was good. I don't feel the need to rush back anytime soon. read more

We have given this several tries and every time it is just not good. Chemical taste in the rice, yum yum sauce is off. Would not recommend.

The service has always been good or great . This is where I have the problem- since covid - 1. 18 percent gratuity automatically on hibachi ( no other hibachi does this ) 2. Extra charge for fried rice at hibachi 3. Food quality is average , same as an Applebee's 4. Portion sizes have SHRUNK, since covid 5. No more sushi happy hour (which was my fav) I don't think I'll return any longer , unless they start the happy hour again . read more

Weird smell as soon as we walked in. Seating at the hibachi grill was super cramped and they seated me at the corner of the table. The hibachi chef made a big deal about changing to a more comfortable seat. Even the new seats we moved to were cramped and I didn't appreciate the attitude of the hibachi chef at all. The salad had way way too much dressing and other people at the hibachi table were joking that they weren't sure which was the salad and which was the soup. We decided we had seen enough and weren't gonna pay an expensive price for cheap service and we left. Terrible, will never come back even if it was for free! read more

Good for Newnan, but not there yet in my standard! Great for groups, date, family spots! I like that they make hibachi fiery and festive, can't wait to bring friends and eat together. I tried one dollar sushi on Tuesday, ordered ten. There wasn't anything that I didn't like, but I won't rave about this and talk about this to everyone... It just doesn't taste as good as other restaurants in the perimeter. If anyone knows a competing sushi place in town, let me know :) read more

My experience at this sushi bar was incredibly disappointing. I came with my mother and my friend to eat sushi but we were handed the lunch menu and none of the rolls had descriptions so when we asked for one with descriptions, our server seemed awfully peeved. She snatched the menus out of my mom's hand and returned with ONE dinner menu, with the descriptions. We asked for two more and our server turned and I could see she rolled her eyes as she walked away. She returned with the menus and we began to look at the menu, she comes back not 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. We told her we weren't and not ONCE did she ask if she could help us out with the menu, or if we had questions. NOT AT ALL. This occurred three times. We finally get the sushi and it was alright, hence the two stars. My friend and I enjoyed our food, but my mom ordered their Manhattan roll and the sushi did not have even HALF of the eel sauce and she did complain about it, but the server kept talking over her and explaining that they take prettier photo of the food but they do not make the food like that. My mom was flustered and told them that she did not want hers anymore and that she had lost her appetite. Again, our server just kept talking over her and just huffed when mom dismissed her. So ungodly upset. read more

Very good service. Fun workers that interact with customers!!! Food tastes amazing. Decently clean. Highly recommend.

Service was phenomenal. Always had a drink refill waiting for me, and had such an attentive server. Food was delicious, but my hibachi filet was severely undercooked. We got the edamame, hibachi filet with fried rice, and hibachi scallops and filet with fried rice. Would definitely recommend, but make sure your meat is throughly cooked. read more

Have been going here for hibachi for years, back for first time since covid. Dirty counter around the hibachi grill -- previous parties' food and such -- and when I asked the server if we could have the counter cleaned, she came and wiped the grill with wipes. When we pointed to the old food on the table, she literally rolled her eyes and walked off, returning with the box of wipes, which she handed to us to wipe the food off the counter. Food was consistent as always, but not much interaction with the chef at all though. We won't be back until the grills and counters get a thorough cleaning and someone's poor attitude changes. read more

This was one of my worst restaurant lunch experiences I have had in all of Newnan, Georgia. Tokyos staff could have carried less about us being in the restaurant. There were 3 waiters and 2 head cooks behind the bar and one waitress. From the time we sat down the service was super cold. The quickly rushed us to order. Brought the smallest portion of yum yum sauce for the table for the hibachi we ordered. When we ran out of drinks and sauce we looked around to try to get someone's attention and they were all at the bar on their cell phones and not carrying that they even had customers. Which we were the only ones at 11:30. Now I know why..... do not go here at all because our food was not even hot and we were only given one drink. read more

If you have been to any good hibachi restaurant, this place will probably let you down. I've been to Tokyo more than once. For the money, I'll never go again. My wife and I went originally to Tokyo to celebrate her birthday. The atmosphere was a bit tacky but you can get over that. We had a chef that had a good time putting on his show. Spoiler Alert: his favorite joke is "... this is my last day here..." His knife work was on point (pun intended) and he was very creative with the sake. The actual food was TERRIBLE. Over salted, over cooked. If it had not been for the dipping sauces, it would have been inedible. I thought that nothing could compare to how bad the meal was until I we went back. Long story short.. It was just as bad if not worse. I will not be back anytime soon. read more
