But I stopped in recently after being next door at UPS, and I was shocked at the improvements under the new owner. The layout was open and clean, no smell anymore, there was a variety of products for all kinds of animals, and a nice fish department. The employees were very friendly and the woman I spoke with was funny and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back here to shop again. It's nice to have such a welcoming pet store in Hamilton. The pink cockatoo is a bonus.

I have always been impressed with the passion that they show for their jobs, and I feel it shows in the presentation of their show room, and the friendly demeanor I expect and receive when I visit the reef. I have been a customer of Reef Missoula for four years. Their prices are competitive with online retailers, and as an avid online shopper this is one of few local establishments I would never "cheat on" with an online retailer.

I didn't know how much my fish were worth. I was given $7 a fish. When I came back two days later to bring in a dead fish they sold me, they were selling my angel for $39.99 a fish. I couldn't believe they had ripped me off so badly. One of my friends had warned me about this place. I should have listened. On a separate note, 2 of the 4 fish I bought here died. The store checked my PH levels in my water and told me my tank was good (which was no surprise since I have 7 healthy angels living in it.) One fish they sold me, died before it even got home. I think it died from stress from the lady trying to get it out of the tank (this is the one I traded in for a new one). Another angel died after being in the tank for 3 days while the other two I bought at the same time were and are doing great. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don't go here. RIP OFF!!!

The worst thing you can do as a store is give out points and then take them away. It's just like stealing. I was going to spend close to $200 and asked them to honor my point cards which equaled $20 bucks and they wouldn't accept it. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she would only take $10... how 'bout I take my business elsewhere. Will never shop here again.
