We adopted our puppy from Mission Valley Animal Shelter July 25th. We saw him on their website and…read morewent up one weekend to visit him. We were able to claim him and had to wait until he got neutered. Despite having to wait an extra week for him to get fixed due to a vet emergency, the wait was worth it. He's neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his shots, save for his rabies since he's not old enough yet. However, they did say they will pay for his rabies vaccine when he gets it and they also pay for the registration for his microchip. They have an amazing adoption fee, all above services included, $125. The staff were very nice and communicated with us despite us living 4 hours away. I would recommend this shelter to anyone!

I took her in hoping that it wouldn't be to hard on her. She came out feeling beautiful and so proud. Her feet were trimmed nails and hair with no swelling from her arthritis, her anus glands were making her feel sick they were emptied and trimmed so she can now clean herself. I love this place for the way they treat my best friend and I can afford them. That's why Goosie and I give them five stars.

The adoption process was thorough but easy compared to other shelters I've adopted from in the past, and bringing home our little rescue dog was the best decision ever- he fills the house with love and dog hair and we couldn't be happier to have him in our life! The customer service at Tailwaggers is so great. They spent so much time with me on the phone. I…read moreneeded an order delivered about 30 minutes away from them and sadly, they don't deliver. They did not care that I was not going to be able to buy from them. What they did was give me numbers of other local places that may deliver and even talked to me about toys for older dogs. They were just so nice and I can't wait to actually go there and shop.

But if you enjoy interaction or desire ready assistance for your pet's needs then just know that it'll ask for you to speak up. I went here to take care of my pet's self-care necessities. However, they didn't have the specific dog food brand that we were looking for which is normally Nature's Logic Distinction Sardine Recipe All Stages of Life and prior to that Orijen Original. What was found instead was another brand that my dog has eaten before (just not in this recipe) and she seemed to be okay with this last-minute switch. This is a BIG DEAL because my dog is an Italian Cane Corso Mix who loves a meat-based and mostly gluten-free diet and is incredibly finicky with what she will accept. The fact that she ate Nutro MAX adult recipe with a farm-raised chicken recipe with no added roasted organic chicken was surprising. Not to mention she had no tummy troubles the entire time. It's been maybe over a week so it's safe to say that she's okay. She loved the dog treats! I'd definitely say give both the dog food and treats a chance! Lastly, while we were visiting the animal shelter area where you can adopt kittens. We were highly interested but were told that you have to visit another location outside of the store to ask questions regarding adoption so they keep that in mind if you're interested.
