Perched on the hill between Pateley Bridge and Greenhow, Toft Gate Barn is a popular stop off for walkers, cyclists and locals in the area.
Located in a stunning converted barn that offers amazing views over the Yorkshire Dales, it's an atmospheric venue that hosts regular nights as well as its daytime cafe. Last year, they had Carol Ann Duffy amongst other poets over for an evening!
This cafe has a concise and simple menu, but you can rest assured that everything they do serve is delicious. The cooked breakfasts are fantastic - served until 11am but sometimes they'll squeeze you in later. They also have a delicious selection of cakes.
It's quite a small cafe with limited parking, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more
