I just had a remarkably pleasant exchange with Mr. Miner himself--not an associate, not a paralegal but the man whose name is on the law firm. I was recently involved in an auto accident which, because of no bodily injuries, has fallen through the cracks of how to litigate since the other party's insurance company is breathing down my neck to settle by totaling my pristine vehicle. To my surprise, this is not something attorneys take on but Mr. Miner and I talked--actually talked. That alone helped me understand what I was up against and it really did give me some peace of mind. Although, it wasn't Mr. Miner's type of case, he bothered to phone me and discuss it. That is the type of professionalism and honesty which is impressive--and I'm not easily impressed. A law firm with heart! We are from New York, and something very traumatic happened to me and my 10 year old little girl at a MAJOR CHAIN HOTEL in Seaworld while on vacation. I wrote my whole story into the chatbox on their website, & received a call with hours from Todd Miner himself after dinner. He listened to my cry and tell my awful story, and he listened very carefully to everything that I explained to him. He then assigned my case immediately, to Brandon & Bobby. WHAT A DREAM TEAM!!! I found this lawfirm through a friend for my mom. the guy they gave us was Greg stark he promised he could do better than he did okay so he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but no excuse for not answering questions promptly, withholding payment from my mom from her own funds and charging 40% commission on a case that never went to trial. when I called him on his exhorbitant fee I was threatened with legal action if I ever contacted them again he then had the nerve to solicit a donation from me for his pet charity. this guy only cares about his super rich clients your little claim just buys the butt wipe. Trying to decide on which attorney to trust in after a car accident is certainly daunting. After reading all of these reviews I couldn't agree more about the same issues with this law firm. They seam to be overwhelmed and I have also experienced issues with getting good client support and responsiveness. I also add a problem paying over 45% in fees and expenses for a settlement that never went to trial. I tried to give Todd some professional feedback on the firms issues and expressed my concern of paying these fees for the level of service and results. If I need services in the future I would go with a smaller firms or one of the larger ones. read more

I had used Todd Miner before with success. The second time I used his firm, he had another artery in firm handle the case. The attorney I believed never looked at TBE file, medical records etc. He had egg on his face at hearing before trail. When a insurance attorney brought something up. He had no answer. He didn't even ask why this attorney was included. He wasn't suppose to be there. I had to ask mediator to go back to insurance companies & ask for more money. Todd Miner s attorney just sat there. Finally he said we could????? Considering what happened at the hearing I asked to negotiate their fees and/or expenses. They refused. I would not use them again for anything. read more

Before I share my thoughts on my experience I would like to state that this 4-star review is STRICTLY for Chris Konicek and Dena McGregor - NOT for Todd Miner. Over 5 years ago I was injured in a car accident. A friend referred me to Todd Miner. I decided to go with Todd because I was looking for a local attorney who could provide personalized attention. At first everything seemed ok but then 2 months turned into 6 months then into 2 years and ultimately over 5 years to get my personal injury case resolved. Initially I worked with Todd and his paralegal. After about 6 months my case was in a stagnant holding pattern. I kept asking what I needed to do to move it forward and was simply told to keep doing what I was doing. It wasn't until Chris and Dena took over my case in about year 3 that I had any forward momentum. Honestly, it was night and day. Chris and Dena were absolutely phenomenal to work with. They communicated where we were at on the case, what was holding it up and what we needed to do in order to move forward. They were very attentive, kept me accountable to what items they needed from me, were quick to respond where needed and set expectations clearly. While it took way longer than I expected and believe it should have taken to get my case resolved I am extremely happy with the results. Chris and Dena were a pleasure to work with and they got me results - in fact better results than I was hoping for! I would recommend the two of them for your legal needs. This is my horrible mistake in choosing Todd Miner Law Firm. This was my 1St accident case andI wanted to go with' a smaller firm so I wasn't just some number and wouldn't be talking to some customer service rep..when I called in. The 1st person I communicated with was Todd Miner and l was told what doctor/rehab to see. Everyone was great when you sign up for the Law firm to represent you. Then I got assigned Greg Stark as my attorney who I didn't meet until my deposition. I was handed off to various associates to email back and forth with. One of whom left the company she was awesome. Nobody told me so I was emailing to nobody for a while there. The Associates at the law firm don't know what the lawyer talks to you about and will lose paperwork. I was even advised by one of the associates to stop seeking medical attention because of cost, forgetting the fact that I could barely walk at that time because of the pain. I started paying for my own treatment using my own cash and credit cards. I threaten to fire the law firm and go else where because I wasn't satisfied. I was called in and Todd Miner came into the meeting and put on a nice dog and pony show and he said all the right things. After that conversation I kept dealing with the firm. Fast forward to negation settlement, pure low ball settlement offers back and forth. I was told if we file lawsuit we will get a different adjuster and the settlement offers will be better. Ok so we go from 33 1/3% to 40% cost. Same low ball settlement offers came through. My opinion the insurance company wasn't going higher was because the doctor Todd Miner sent me to was under investigation by the same insurance company we were suing. The doctor was meeting with the insurance company lawyers and negation terms for himself and his investigation. So when the insurance lawyer is speaking to my attorney in my opinion he has more info about my case, types of physical therapy and billing cost than my own lawyer had. I don't think my lack luster lawyer was ever on time for any meetings we had. He was an hour late to the settlement mediation appointment. I was sitting there with the mediator, the insurance company's lawyer and adjuster. They were all looking at me like, "where's your attorney?" I settle this case not because I believed my case was weak or my damages weren't enough. I settle because I lost faith in my attorney's ability to win a case against a law student. Also, not knowing what the doctor that the firm sent me to told the insurance company about me or my physical therapy. Don't let me get started on the fees and "interest" the firm charged me!!!! Bottom Line, go to a larger firm with attorneys still hungry for winning big and that insurance companies know and respect. You may be treated like just another case number but I felt the same at Todd Miner Law after I signed up. Just save yourself the headache and disappointment that l unfortunately had to endure all while trying to get better. read more

I was passed from Todd to another associate, who tried to force me to take what i felt was an unreasonable offer. I ultimately took my case to a different attorney who was able to get me a significantly higher settlement. They charged intetest and fought the attorney i hired for every penny even though the did only a minimal amount on my case. read more

I went to Todd Miner after GEICO started playing games with the settlement check, mind you AFTER they reported to Medicare that they were offering a settlement and therefore were TRYING to send me a check made out to me AND Medicare therefore meaning the check would NEVER be able to be cashed and therefore GEICO would end up keeping the money. Todd and his simply amazing partners and exemplary staff went to bat for me against GEICO even though there was not a lot of money to be made of my case, truth be told, I was soooo honestly surprised that an attorney and partners of Todd's caliber would even meet with me but he not only met with me and made me feel absolutely without a doubt completely at ease because Todd was straightforward with me and pulled no punches with I found most refreshing. After playing GEICO's game for a while they told GEICO in no uncertain terms to either anti up or we would see them in court, not even 20 minutes later GEICO called back to release the money. I'll be completely honest, I wouldn't have cared if I came out with nothing as long as GEICO was made to pay, remember that if they had released the check to me the GEICO would have kept the entire amount of the settlement since there is no entity that could/would be able to sign the check on behalf of Medicare, but little did I realize that paying for my medical expenses out of my own pocket my costs increased immensely but thanks to Todd and his group I did actually get some money out of it. Todd and his partners were amazing as were their paralegals, at no time did I ever feel as if I were any less important than the clients whom were actually bringing them a lot more money. I was ALWAYS treated with the utmost respect and I always able to ask any question pertaining to my case and received an honest answer. read more
