A total waste of time & no other practice I have been too has ever charged me for a copy of my film.

Your treatment plan could consist of exercises tailored to your issue, manual work on you by the PT, and ice/heat/stim. (Love the compression ice sleeve!) The PTs and aides are really good at what they do, designing a specialized plan for you, being responsive to feedback, and having an awareness of the room. Kudos to Shane, James, Mike, Jordan, Tony and the team for their attentiveness; thank you Shane especially for your professionalism and help! It seems like most PT places have a dated feel to them but this one feels better, perhaps because it is well kept, the signed sports memorabilia on the walls, and the comforting sound of the washing machine running. It's a smallish space so conversations carry throughout the room, so you pretty much hear everything. Not too much privacy if you want that. They also have convenient hours. They are by appointment and have early morning and later times. If you go at a busier time, it gets more hectic and there's a lot more staff multitasking happening. Before you start, they contact you about what you will owe per session. I ended up owing more than initially told (estimate?) which is never a good surprise. Perhaps double verifying ahead of time would be good. This wasn't the cheapest place if you're budget conscious. Parking is easy and they're located right next to Davey's bar.

I have been seeing Dr Barry Kraushaar for years for a variety of injuries. I am very active and…read moreplay and enjoy extreme sports. (Age 46) Having said that I put a lot of strain and have a huge expectation of my body. Dr. Kraushaar has always been very conservative with his approach. He is approachable and explains everything in such detail. I never feel rushed. I always feel safe, well taken care of and that he has my best interest at the forefront. I am faced now with a tear in my rotator cuff and my labrum. I was convinced I needed surgery. Now; honestly let's face it he is in the business of operating as he is an orthopedic surgeon. I would have easily agreed I even went in thinking that's what I needed. To my surprise and delight, he doesn't think surgery is our next move. I have been doing physical therapy for a few weeks and had a cortisone shot. Even after all of that he still feels we should wait and might have success without surgery. I am continuing with PT and this time I will be very diligent about my exercises. Having said that, he never made me feel bad about not doing them. He said "we are partners in this" He is Unbelievable, Really! I have several friends that have gone to the hospital for special surgery and have seen the Dr who works with the players of the Mets and the one that operates on the NJ Ranger players. With all those seemingly impressive recommendations I still choose Dr Kraushaar and will continue to do so. He is well trained Georgetown University fellowship with a specialization in sports medicine, Lenox hill Hospital, Virginia Sports medicine institute etc, has over 20 years experience operating and most important he cares more about me than the business of surgery. He said unless my pain was due to surgery or a broken bone he would not complete the Drs. Statement for Aflac. He said my primary Dr. should complete the form, which she did, but she stated that Dr Bhadra really should have completed the document. Aflac denied my coverage because the primary care doctor was not the "treating" doctor. So I received no reimbursement for missing work for 3 weeks. Not all of us can afford to miss work without some financial assistance. One other thing: I had a follow-up tele-visit with Dr. Bhadra. I waited an hour for him and finally hung up. He then called me. I will never go back there.
