I'm writing this review because I feel that it is necessary that I need to spread awareness to the…read morecommunity that Lofton supports "Harassment" at the work place. I do not recommend anyone work for this security company. Ill start by saying that I've been employed with Lofton from 7-3-2017 to 7-25-2018. The time I spent with Lofton, I've never called in, never been late for work, and when they ask me to work at a site on my off days, I've never told them no. There is a guy named Sonnier that goes around to each property and conduct post checks. He is very inexperienced but brags on how many years he has worked in security. The first time he did a post check on a property was around the hurricane that hit Houston, Texas which was in August 2017 and everything went fine. He did what he was suppose to do and he wasn't rude. I've heard horrible stories about this guy but I can't go on he say she say. I didn't believe the officers because he handled himself in a professional manner. The second post check that he conducted with me on 10-6-2017 was very disrespectful and unprofessional. He literally sized me up for no reason. He stated that he did not like my attitude and he said that I could go home. Before I drove off the property he stated "and when you can't pay your light bill Monday". I guess because I had enough of his disrespect, I told him that going home did not matter to me. Ill give a couple examples of the questions that he asks the officers in a sarcastic manner. "Who trained you?" "Are you afraid to be out here?" "Do you want to be here?" If the officers don't want to go to work, we wouldn't be there. I was sent home for no reason and I feel that he is a bully and that shouldn't be tolerated. Making statements about my light bill not getting paid show me that he is sending people home to hurt people. We go to work, do our job to earn the money to take care of our family. That is horrible and I don't feel that Lofton did enough about that first incident and how he is representing the company. The third post check that he conducted was at a property on 6-5-2018. I went to the doctor that day because I wasn't feeling well. This particular property you did not have to get out of the car. I sat at the gate all night. My feet never touched the ground. He came up to my car and he asked me one of the normal inexperienced 20 questions that he always do. The question he asks was, "why is your shirt untucked? And I stated that I am not feeling good. I know that he could see that I was not in the mood for his disrespect that day and he did not make a big deal out of it. I wish I would have called in that day. Another thing about that particular property is that the security guards did not have a bathroom to use. I don't feel like that was a great setting but I did the job without complaining. There is another incident when I worked for Harbor Freight for 4 nights. The staff came outside several times for 2 days and asked me who is it from Lofton that keep calling up there asking if I was at work. I asked the staff if it was a man or a woman. The staff stated that it was a man. The only man that I know that have the authority to call the store is Sonnier. The staff stated that they have to leave their customers because a Lofton employee keep calling up there. That is unprofessional and I know that he was targeting me for no reason. I never gave that office no reason to call and check to see if I'm at work or not because I'm always on time. The last negative experience I had with Sonnier was on Sunday July the 15th 2018 for the last company that I worked for. He walked in with a young lady and tried to shake my hand. He already knows that I do not shake the hand of a disrespectful man. I told him to stop playing with me because he knows that me and him do not have that type of work relationship because he continuously harasses and target me. I wasn't in the mood for the same inexperienced 20 questions that he does so I answered them cut and dry and I stated, let's move on to the next question. He stated that he was going to Lafayette La and I stated good because Im ready for you to go. My computer and phone were sitting on my desk off to the side with my work schedules pulled up. He asked me to remove my computer and I told him no because it's an excel spreadsheet that I need to keep up with my schedules. He stated that he would ask Ms. Amber and Ms. Lanora if it is okay to have my work spreadsheet open and I told him that is fine. He continues stating that he is trying to help me so that I would not get into trouble. I told him that my computer and me making my schedule was never a problem and Im not concerned. Those ladies know I do my job and I was not concerned.

Then they said I had to pay for a technician to come out when it's their equipment that is not working. I finally broke down to schedule the appointment and when I called to try and get a narrower window for the tech to arrive, I was faced with an AI hall monitor. I kept asking for a human, and AI kept spinning me around and around. When I finally did get a human, I was advised that they cannot narrow the time down. I am quite sure the tech will say I need an upgrade and charge me for it. Nope. Not happening. As soon as I finish paying for this lousy equipment and service (speared over 5 years), I am cancelling this service.

They (Acadiana Security…read morePlus/Pye Barker) want to charge me $140 for a technician to come and enter the security code on my panel that will allow them to do it. $140 to drive a few miles and punch in their secret code!!! Don't get me wrong - the technician we dealt with in person yesterday was great - very personable and competent. And, though it took it took thirty minutes, the individual that FINALLY talked us through shutting down the badly - and very loudly - malfunctioning alarm after was very competent and patient. However, everything that we dealt with in terms of service and professionalism up to that point was absolutely awful and nothing like what we were used to. Apparently thr problem is that when Acadiana Security Plus was thought out, they reduced their phone staff to only one overnight technician, which is why we were stuck for forty-five minutes on the carport in the LIGHTNING STORM WITH A SMALL CHILD to get away from the howling alarm. ALSO, the multiple individuals that used to answer the phones, providing immediate answers and assistance, have apparently been replaced with one overnight office staffer who is TERRIBLE. This particular fatuous individual is unprofessional, rude, condescending, and doesn't even bother to answer with the name of the company anymore, and starts raising her voice when a customer doesn't immediately respond to the completely unfamiliar "Central Station". In fact, it was sadly she that answered this morning at 6:00 in the morning when I called to figure out why the keypad was simply sounding an alarm again. After condescension, stating the obvious, and reiteration of condescension in stating the obvious, I finally got her to switch me to THE overnight technician. He couldn't give an answer for why it started randomly going off at 6:00 in the morning either, other than that it was the part that needs replacing. He also didn't ask for the code from the keypad, nor could he answer whether or not this was going to continue happening at random points. At least the one guy yesterday was competent. These are just a few of the problems out of several that we've experienced in the last 24 hours of dealing with these folks. However, they seem par for the course, in my experience, for what happens when Carpetbaggers from another area buy up an Acadiana company. An immediate drop in professionalism, personal service, quality of service, staff, and a dovetailing through a central Hub that is less than efficient and irritable with questions, all sound painfully familiar. We've been with this company for 15 years, so that should tell you out there and the company itself how ticked off we are. So rest assured, it may be a while before we eat complete our contract, but if such idiocy continues, we shall certainly not renew it.
