Food is excellent. Restaurant is a bit crowded but service is good. You can even take home some of their delicious chutney

It is fascinating seeing Yelpers give this place a one-star review across the board. Most grievances deal with inaccurate orders, a lot of waiting, and a shortage of fries. I find that ordering through the McDonald's app has reduced the number of inaccuracies with my orders. I've still witnessed the occasional missing item, but none of these reviews stated that they used the McDonald's app. I immediately check my paper bag to see that my order is correct before I drive away from the restaurant. I head back to the drive-thru and let the person know that something is wrong with my order, which gets fixed immediately. You do need to be proactive. I used to assume that my order was right. You can't have that mentality. My dad doesn't have a cell phone. He complains now and again of a missing sandwich or the wrong drink. My guess is communication or comprehension between your placing your order and how it is taken or interpreted by the employee. Back to my experience here... After having a late lunch at Phomono, I needed a drink. I spotted this McDonald's in the same plaza. I like that you can get any fountain drink size for $1 through the McDonald's app when it's summertime. I got two large Diet Cokes. I paid through the app. I then headed to the drive-thru. The drive-thru entrance is closest to Highway 2. There were two lanes. I chose the shorter of the two, which felt like a VIP lane. I got an enthusiastic, cheerful woman on the other end. I gave her my order code. She found my name and order, and said that I could drive up to the window. I bypassed two vehicles that were there before my arrival. The two drive-thru lanes immediately converge once you leave the order area. It was different compared to most McD's drive-thru lanes that I have frequented. There was a bit of a lineup, but it moved quickly. I got the nicest woman who handed my drinks and straws to me. I liked that she waited for me to put my first drink and straws in my drink holder before grabbing the other drink. Not all employees at McD's have that much patience and assume that you can quickly secure your drinks in your vehicle. I thanked her and left. My drive home was an hour. I sipped on one of my drinks. It was cold, delicious, and refreshing. So good! It made my drive home better. I had the second one for dinner. It was perfect to wash my food down. My review breaks this one-star cycle. I'm such a troublemaker writing a positive review. Perhaps things have changed for the better here. (355)

Quickly after that, I decided to order two donuts. A chocolate mint and a vanilla dip with sprinkles. My biggest concern was with paying for the donuts. They were pretty inexpensive at $2, but when I asked if they preferred USD or Canadian dollars the cashier started talking down to me. I thought it was a bit rude. Eventually, I ate my two donuts. They were not bad, but I would not refer to them as great. The mint chocolate donut tasted a bit bland while the vanilla dip was covered in sprinkles resulting in it tasting hard. Another one of my concerns here was the mess. The donut display was a bit disorganized and one of the tables were covered in crumbs. This specific Tim Horton's location is connected to a Wendy's and also has a drive through. However, it had a long line. Altogether, I was a bit disappointed with Tim Horton's especially compared to what I have heard.

And then you can't help but notice maybe every 500-feet there's a Tim Horton's. 'Ubiquitous' isn't even a good enough word for just how many you'll pass. It might not even be possible to venture into Canada and not hit one at some point. This specific location was absolutely bananas - it was pretty small (attached at the hip with a Wendy's) - and I don't think I ever saw so many workers crammed into such a small space and all of them were working their tails off. Friendly service, good coffee, but their version of Dunkin's munchkins were too sweet for me. (But at ten for a Canadian dollar - how could you go wrong?!)
