Only place I can find Passion Flowers! I love going here. It's a bit out of my way, but so worth it. I just love the atmosphere and the plants are always so beautiful. We used to go here quite a bit for everything from plant stock for our personal yard or clients, the bulk products such as topsoil and decorative stone or seasonal decorative plants. Last year we stopped going as plant selection was mostly sickly looking and deformed plants. We continued using the bulk materials until today when I purchased some round decorative stone to coat a auxiliary parking area. I bought 3 yards that cost $144 with tax. Pricey but I go there on weekends when others are closed so I consider it the price you pay for convenience. What I don't appreciate is being charged for 3 yards and only receiving 1.75-2 yards max. As soon as I dumped it it was clear to me and I called to see if they would make it right. They claim the driver used the 1 yd bucket and I got the 3 yards. Well if the bucket scoops were not full as they should be with an inexperienced loader operator then you aren't getting what you paid for. Disappointed that they argued with me and wouldn't make it right. I informed them that I been in the bulk material game for over 30 years and currently own a construction company so I know what I'm talking about. Oh well, do yourself and go someplace else. read more

Kind of pricey nursery. Good selection though. Couple of things really bothered me - asked the price of a hanging basket and the woman was about $20 off. And almost no one was wearing masks. Not even the cashier! That really bothered me. A couple of workers had them around their necks, that's about it. Sorry - that doesn't cut it. I had to ask for sanitizer after using pen to sign....many places don't bother asking you to sign right now. If have given more stars if not for mask situation which is rude right now. You interact with the public and all other nurseries insist on them. Never going back. read more

As many have mentioned, no social distancing and no one is wearing masks from the staff. You can see from there Facebook page like there is no pandemic going on. Lots of plants in bad shape not even worth the trip. read more

On the whole, we had a good experience yesterday with Toadflax. The yard guy, Nick, was amazing and skillful in helping us load a half a yard of garden soil into a bag and into our car with his front loader. The property is extensive and well kept, and plant selection is wonderful. The person who waited on us was friendly and helpful. I only wish she had worn the facemask she had around her neck. All the customers (including us) were wearing them. For that, docked them one star for lack of respect. p.s. don't know where that location came from! lol read more

This nursery has a nice selection of plants. I have always been happy to shop here. However, now that we are going thru a pandemic I have been very unhappy with the staffs lack of masks and respect for social distancing. If I have to shop with a hot mask on , then they should be wearing one too. It is disrespectful to the customers! read more

We went here for the first time. We were very impressed with the customer service we received. One of the best things is the variety of plants, flowers and trees. We will be telling our friends to shop there versus other nursery's. We will be buying all of our stuff there. Even if you don't want to buy something it's a nice place to walk around and just enjoy looking at their establishments. read more

I had been a customer for a while when I decided to buy a birch tree from Toadflax. They delivered the tree when it was over 90 degrees and didn't cover the tree in transit. As a result it was in tough shape. The people there insisted the tree would recover despite the fact it lost all its leaves. They were very resistant to replacing the tree. So I agreed to wait until the following spring. The tree failed to bud out. So I convinced them to replace it that summer. Then they brought another which promptly dropped all its leaves. Went through the same elaborate argument with them and they insisted the tree was fine. Waited all winter to see if it budded out this spring. An entire third of the tree is dead! I finally gave up arguing with them. They were completely unhelpful and argumentative. To save themselves a few hundred bucks they lost a lifetime customer who spent that much every season! I'm a Faddegons customer now. They are SO much better than Toadflax. read more

As a retired nursery owner, I can be quite judgemental when it comes to nurseries. This is the second visit I have made in 2 years, and Toadflax by far has the best range of plant material compared to the other 4 or 5 nurseries in the general area ( Glen Falls has a surprising number of good nurseries compared to other similar sized cities.) Not only that but the care that is given to the plants on hand at Toadflax appears excellent. I would recommend them highly. read more

We have been given the runaround regarding DEAD trees that THEY planted. The trees showed signs of dying within a week and now they are dead - in less than two months. They are not honoring their policy. NOW the battle will begin and quite frankly who needs this aggravation when there are so many other nurseries to chose from. read more

We bought a standard lilac in 2016 which they planted for us. It did not bloom this year, but the owner instructed Nick to give it a feeding of phosphorus and see if it blooms next year. Nick said he has made a note of this fertilizer application so we can track this back if need be and that their 1 year guarantee will still apply. I will check back in with yelp and keep you posted. Otherwise we have done a lot of landscaping with them and feel they are top notch. read more

I stopped yesterday to pick up a geranium for my Uncle's grave. I found what I wanted by myself; workers looked at me but no one asked me if I needed help! I was at the register cashing out a friend of mine came in and we were talking and I finished cashing out. I picked up my receipt and put it in my purse and retrieved my plant from the counter and preceded to my car. While I was putting my purchase in the back of my car an older gentleman approached my that worked there and said, "you need to pay for that!" I told him I did and he asked for my receipt; while I was pulling it out he was commenting on my other receipts, to which were none of his business, looked at my Toadflax receipt and said okay and walked away. I was so upset that I was just accused of stealing; I will NEVER go back there again! read more
