I would not use them again. I am spending valuable time arranging for the ruts they left in my lawn to be filled in and re-seeded. Their fancy million dollar crane also crushed my sidewalk like a potato chip, and I have to call the Town of Queensbury to try to get that repaired. They put down rubber mats, but they are not sufficient -- they may as well have put down Saran-wrap. Great tree removal, but a lot of unnecessary "collateral damage, " and they don't care. read more

I had a quote earlier in the year on 2 trees for $4700 plus tax. I decided to do one tree at a time and add stump removal. Everything started out fine. When I paid with credit card they added to the bill a percentage which was fine. I paid $2700+ for the removal of one tree. I called them back to remove the other tree. 4 calls later and a visit to their business I finally got an appointment for the gentleman to come out and re quote the project. The woman in the office (rude) never appologized for why I was not getting a call back, but did state that they were not going to remove the tree for the remaining quote I had received. I understood and asked for a new quote. Here we go, the quote was higher that both trees together...$4800. This must be the I underquoted the tree and I don't want to cut down your tree. I had an agreement for work to be done and they did not finish all the work. I waited two weeks for them to return with no luck. They called me back and said they could not do the work that was agreed to Be done. I would look for more honest people to do business with. The work they did perform left ruts in the lawn and did a poor cleanup job. read more

If you are looking to get a tree removed from your yard, make sure you contact Richard Sears Tree Experts. They are the best in the area. We called Richard Sears on Monday (Memorial Day). The owner came to our house about 3 hours after calling and gave us an estimate that same day. The Estimate was very reasonable but not only was the price a factor for us so was the timeline. They offered to take the tree down that same week on Saturday. On Thursday, the owner gave us a call and asked us if it was okay to take the tree down on Friday instead. We couldn't have been happier. His crew showed up on Friday at 7 AM as promised. They made sure everyone on the street stayed safe as we live on a very busy road. His crew was very nice and respectful. They removed the large oak tree that is pictured below. It hung over our house and deck. It carries lots of risks to take down. After completing the removal, his crew removed all the dead wood from the other trees in the backward as well. They were very meticulous with cleaning up our lawn after they finished the job.
