Well it started out that me and the mister, Delvin, were headed way up north to the Branson. We wanted to catch some good shows up that a way, but first we knew we had to stop off at Toad suck. the Harpers, who live down the way from us told us all about the toadsuck. So Delvin and I pulled our motor coach off the beaten path to seek out some Toad Suck. When we left the real roads we sure did think it was awful pretty, but then again it was kinda strange driving so long a ways so far away from real people. The real story begins when we pulled up. First off this place is a barn. Youll take a gander around, and wonder if they have real food in here. they do. We liked the pincnic tables because we are really fond of stopping at rest stops while we travel and we like to sit at pincnic tables when we stop. So we sat at a pincnic table. Their was good music too. We started supper with some fried pickles, fried cheese, and french fries. They were all really really good first parts and we sure liked every last bit of it. Delvin ordered himself the giant porterhouse, and our only complaint was it was a little too small. I guess we are just used to texas sized steaks. But it was done perfect for him, extra well done just how delvin likes it. I ordered a steak too, and for my salad I got the ground round on lettuce. It was delicious, i really really liked all the extra dressing they put on it, and they didn't have a problem bringing me a bowl of extra dressing for dippins either. Over all it was a wonderfully romantic place for Delvin and me to go to for a nice supper and a good time on our way up north. From all the good reviews, I was looking forward to trying this place out. We drove all the way out to BFE but too mad the service sucked from the beginning... I'm sure the steaks are good, but I will never know. The old blonde at the front was so rude, we walked out. Such a shame to have such rude, ignorant workers. If I could give no stars I would. An unexpected oasis of fun and good food in a very rural setting.

Food is great! Very worth the trip. Restrooms cost them a star. Very friendly, comfortable backwoods dive bar that has amazing food!

Heard about how great this place was for years but its a good half hour drive from us and it took me about 5 years to want to drive that far to check it out. Boy do I wish I would have stayed home and grilled out on my deck. I grill better steaks than this place on my worst day! Make sure your car has plenty of gas, because you do not want to get stuck on your way to or from this place, its a pretty drive but you are in the back hills of nowhere, cue up the banjo! We practically drive past it because it is tucked back behind the trees down a lengthy drive. I love little dive places, and this has the look of that sort of place. Its a cute little place and I appreciate all the "No Profanity" signs posted throughout the place. Waitress was very nice and helpful, although she informed us she was new. They have a full bar and a great beer selection unusual for this sort of place. We get the menu and HOLY CRAP someone forgot to tell these people that this isn't New York City, because the prices were comparable. So now my expectations for the quality of the meal goes sky high, because if they are going to charge these sorts of prices it had better be worth it! It was not even close, very, very average. Most of the meal seemed like something they had bought at Sam's Club and warmed up. It was not good at all. My wife couldn't even finish hers because it was so bad. i forced mine down because of what it cost, I wasn't about to waste it! Bottom line, this is more of a cute little bar to grab a beer and play a little pool or watch the game, but not a serious restaurant. Not worth my gas or time to drive to. Certainly not worth the prices they are asking! Go to Mikes Place in Conway for a closer, better meal for about the same money, or drive to Little Rock (about the same distance for me) to several different places for a better meal. read more
