The best thing that I like about dealing with David (the owner) is that he is an honest guy. So I am going to be honest in my review. I think no contractor is perfect, especially when it is not a minor fix but a remodel. So I give 4 stars. The following is the pros and cons of using Kitchen and Batch Werk in my opinion. Pros - 1. Honest - This is what I like about them the most. You really don't find this kind of person in business nowadays very often. David's quote is clear and fair. During the process we needed to change stuff here and there, he will not quote you outrage price since you already started the work and had to stick with them. When there are jobs that are not his specialty (for example - paint), you will find the price that he quoted is very high. Don't hesitate to communicate with him that you want to hire other people to do the job. He was nice enough to work with our painter without holding any grudge. The pre-built cabinet material that he provided is very high quality and well worth the price. 2. Kind - All his crew members are courteous and kind. They will cover up stuff and clean up their mess. I feel safe to leave them working in my house without supervision. 3. On Time - David sticks to the schedule that he gives you in the beginning even though he is very busy. He will not leave your job site waiting forever when he got other big jobs. Cons - OK, now this is the missing star. As I mentioned earlier, David is very busy. He is not only a contractor but also a pastor of a church. So sometimes you cannot get a hold of him. He left his crews and talked a few minutes with you and took off. I had a hard time trying to reach him to tell him when there is something wrong with their work. I finally had to tell him straight that he should at least reply my emails or text messages if he could not pick up the phone during the day. It is very frustrating when you find out there are jobs not done right and wanted an answer on what to do next but could not find the contractor. I found other reviews all said that David is very responsive, so I guess he must be VERY, VERY BUSY when he worked on our project. Finally, I have some tips for people who are considering doing kitchen remodel. 1. Use custom slabs instead of prefab granite. Yes, it costs 2,000 more, but the look is completely luxury and you can do bigger island for more storage space and have no grout granite kitchen backsplash. When you spend 16K on your kitchen, the extra 2k will transform the whole room which is well worth it. David's granite team is exceptional, they did a great job in my kitchen and it complements the beautiful cabinets so much. You also have a lot more choices in the custom slabs; the beautiful nature stone truly brightens the whole kitchen. Make sure to reserve the stone when you go to the granite yard to pick your slabs. David forgot to tell us this, so we had to rush back to reserve the stone in the last minute. 2. Expect to do a lot of shopping even if you hire a contractor. You will have to pick everything by yourself - faucets, granite, cabinet, sinks, lights, cabinet knobs, wood floors, outlet trims, and accessories. Contractors can only give you suggestions, but you have to decide what you like and buy them from local stores for them to install. (They only provide recess lights, cabinet, granite and wood floor.) I think the most difficult part in this process is you have to select stuff without seeing them putting together as there is no model room or sample pictures for you to choose. Overall, our kitchen and powder room turns out beautifully and we got lots of complements from our friends and families. Thanks David and everyone who worked on our project.

Robert and his team did a bathroom remodel job for me from mid-February to mid-March in 2022. It…read moreincluded demo and tearing everything out and installing everything new in one bathroom and new flooring, vanity, and toilet in another. I know this review is basically 1.5 years later but I wanted to use the bathrooms and see how it held up before writing this review and it just became overdue. Anyways, I would not recommend Robert and his team for any similar jobs. I'm honestly shocked by the positive reviews and felt I needed to post mine because I found Robert through yelp and feel mislead. There are a lot of things that have issues now. The grout lines in the shower are flaking off in layers because it was not done properly the first time. The niche that was built has a lip that holds water and won't drain. The vanity is leveled but the gap between the wooden cabinet and the slab counter top is not. One of the doors of the vanity was installed poorly and is now loose. The laminate flooring tiles are separated in one of the bathrooms. There is so much flex when you walk on it even since the day it was installed. I regret not insisting on leveling the floor before install but Robert told us his expert opinion was that it wasn't necessary. We asked Robert to do measurements on the day we signed the contract so we can order enough materials including extra for the floor and shower. We ordered exactly as he told us but when install came, we needed to go out and buy more bc of mistakes or miscalculation. This lead to needing to buy completely different flooring for the other bathroom bc the store didn't have enough of the original one we picked out. The shower had rust coming out and his plumber was sent out to fix it (the plumber wasn't present during the initial install, FYI). There was so much extra material with the exhaust fan duct he installed and there was papers left inside that blocked the vent opening. The towel rod is not leveled. We had to reinstall one of the toilets ourselves within a year bc of a leak cause by the rubber ring. Everyone on the team was very nice and polite, however, with the exception of the plumber, I would not consider their craftsmanship and skill level to be the level of someone who works in construction as their main profession. There is a lot more I could say but I'll end it here. If all my issues were cosmetic, I'd give them 3 stars. But considering the fact that a lot of these issues had to be fixed by us or can't be fixed now but only the next time we do another renovation (flooring, shower tiles and niche, uneven patching and texture on walls/ceiling), 2 stars seems fair. I would not recommend King Legacy Construction to anyone looking for a renovation/remodel.
