Yelp I found Max on yelp and he responded almost immediately. He came to give an estimate for what was supposed to be a simple laminate floor replacement the next day. His price was very reasonable. When Max and Mike came to change the floors, they unfortunately found mold and tiles with asbestos as well as water damage throughout our downstairs. Our kitchen, living room, bathroom, water heater closet, and fourth bedroom needed to be gutted. Max was a wizard with our homeowners insurance. He helped us deal with them every step of the way to make sure we got every dollar we could for them. We ended up changing the layout of our kitchen and adding a peninsula, moving our stackable laundry from the kitchen to the garage, expanding our bathroom, putting a tankless water heater on the back of our house, and repiping. The "beam" holding up our first floor were actually two 2x6's held together with drywall screws. Max installed a gorgeous beam that isn't an earthquake nightmare waiting to happen. Max gave us great advice and coordinated each contractor to come on a seamless schedule. He gave continual updates and was on site almost daily. Every time I added or changed something, Max gave me advice or suggested something better. When the stucco guys ended up finding mold on the front of our house, Max opened the wall in our third bedroom and found old, horrifying termite damage. What could have been one of the worst days of our lives, ended up being just an annoying blip. Our home is so gorgeous now. Our neighbors would come by just to marvel at house beautiful it is. Max gave us the kitchen and bathroom of our dreams. Max and his two workers, Mike and Carlos, were always so great is their work and especially with my children, who still ask about them. I was looking to remodel my home which had extensive termite and water damage. I found To The Max Construction and gave them a call. Max was quick to respond and came out within a few days to look at the property and give me an estimate. Max gave me a good feeling right off the bat. It was literally a homeowners dream come true to find someone so trustworthy! My home was built in 1950 and had extensive termite damage, some water damage, original fuse box...and the list goes on. Max took a home I hated into one I now love! Short of tearing the house down and starting from scratch, he completely left me what feels like a brand new home. Added insulation where there wasn't any, new electrical panel, one of my favorites are the outlets placed on the outside of the home, new roof, remolded kitchen that feels soooo much bigger, the flooring feels solid and looks amazing, the smooth wall texturing, the outside stucco, new garage door; it all just came out so wonderful! This review is way overdue. Max deserves five stars. There was an issue I was having regarding a compromised balcony. Max came out to my property on extremely short notice and provided a comprehensive assessment on the work that needed to be done as well as what he perceived to be the cause. He answered all my questions, provided advice on how I should best move forward. You could tell by the way he performed his assessment that he is truly putting in effort to determine the scope and depth of the work. He also provided me with detailed report of the work that needed to be done. Max is quick to answer emails and provided me his phone number so that I could text him for a quicker responses. These guys are amazing! Our aircon broke at 8.30pm on a Friday night during the LA heatwave. We were sure that we wouldn't get it running that night but we called Max and he was over within the hour. Super fast service, Max and his team member were both extremely polite and professional and the price was also reasonable. They explained exactly what was wrong with the aircon and what they did to fix it. I actually thought that he was an aircon specialist but looking at the other reviews he does construction other jobs as well. He opened up a wall and put in a massive beam in the attic. When he was done it looked like it had always been that way. He declared that the coil needed to be replaced - a $3500 job. Fortunately, I got another opinion. I had Max and his crew paint and repair a gazebo surrounding my swim spa recently. It was a great experience to work with him and his helpers. First, when he gave me an estimate, everything was detailed--work to be done, at what point partial payment would be expected for completed parts of the job and the costs. In contrast, I had several other companies offer bids before finding Max on Yelp and I was jacked around on price. They started with outlandish estimates, then quickly dropped when they saw I would not be scammed, then they would call their manager (maybe a fake call) then dropped more. It got to be a joke in my family about the routine--several times exactly the same. I was not given detailed explanations of what they would do. I know companies have material costs, labor costs and overhead and I expect to pay for those. I just want them to tell me what they can do a job for and not try to see how much they can get out of me. Max and his crew were always on time or if delayed would text or call. After completion of the work, some of the paint bubbled up due to some new wood he had found needed to be installed. He saw the problem, said he would return in a few weeks to give the bubbles time to all show themselves. Without my calling him, he contacted me to come back and take care of the issues. He sanded and primed the areas and painted. They properly cleaned up each time they worked. And they couldn't have been a nicer group to work with. read more

My senior mother found herself at home on the hottest day (111°) of the year with no AC and I needed to hear from someone FAST!! GOD BLESS TO THE MAX!!
