I love my skin after the jet peel! I'd never had one before and Kim explained everything. I had gone to her first for my wedding makeup in 2019 and now still go to her to spoil myself with her facials when I can. She has a great attention to detail with the extractions and a gentle hand. I had the best experience with Kim, who did my makeup for my wedding in April. Not only is she extremely talented and professional, but Kim is very kind and easy to talk to. I was extremely lucky to find her just a few weeks before my big day. When I visited Kim for my trial, we tried a few different looks. I wasn't really sure how I saw myself as a bride. Kim worked with me to find a look that really felt like me but more glamorous. She wanted me to be happy with the result and was more than willing to try different things to get me there. A week before my wedding day, my brother (who was my man of honor) got a black eye at my husband's bachelor party. I panicked. When I told Kim what happened, she didn't bat (a voluminous) eyelash. My bridesmaids and I had such a great experience with all the To Make Beautiful staff! They were friendly, professional, and did an AMAZING job on both hair and make up for everyone in my party! In response to the owner's comment below. Thank you for your prompt response. For an industry that has been challenged for the last year plus by the pandemic, I would think a more professional, accountable response would have been provided. I guess not. This was a real review. The time it took to post this review is irrelevant. The result of the poor job done on my wedding day is permanent and has no timetable. I was indeed very sick the day of my wedding. I am not sure how that is relevant either. The fact remains that you did not have the appropriate staffing, which was agreed upon beforehand so that our hair and makeup would be finished on time. Unfortunately, I must be the one wedding you have had in your career that ran late because of the lack of staffing. Prior to my wedding day I did decide on wearing my hair piece; this was one of the reasons that I had a second hair trial. If I were a makeup artist and the bride was ill, I would have made every effort to make her feel her absolute best on one of the most important days of her life. It's very unfortunate that the makeup application on my trial was much better than the application on my wedding day. I would hope that you are confident in your work and professionalism. In any business when a customer provides honest feedback the business should always use it as an opportunity for improving their services and not attack the customer's feedback by stating that the post hardly deserves any attention or credibility. The bottom line: I paid for a service which in the end was unsatisfactory. Original review. Kim and staff were very nice. Makeup trial went well. I had 2 hair trials (should have gone with my gut but the 2nd trial was much better). The day of my wedding, there were supposed to be 2 makeup artists but only one came which was Kim. This caused major problems-one after the other. My make up was done last which was a huge mistake. It was way too rushed. I probably could have done it better myself to be honest. SO disappointing esp since the makeup trial went well and the pics of the brides in her online gallery looked great. I was pretty upset that she didn't do her best work. More time was spent on the others than on me! I think every bride would be very upset about this! The other issue was that the hair stylist almost forgot to add my hairpiece. If I didn't say anything it wouldn't have been set! Everything was way too rushed at the end. As a result, I was more than 30 min late for my ceremony. Absolutely unacceptable. 2 stars only for the fact that she and her stylist are nice people. Otherwise I would give a half star if that was an option. Just needed to let brides know, be aware. If the correct number of people showed up maybe, it would have been different but I really can't say for sure. Looking back at my pics is so frustrating! Knowing what I know now, I would have went with someone else. Kim should have known better not to do the bride last in this case where the other makeup artist didn't show up. She is the experienced one, not me. Bridal party and parents absolutely should not take more time to do than the bride!! Good luck brides! read more

OMG! Jaqui and Kim were AH-MAZING! I was in Salem for my cousin's wedding. Not only was Jaqui beyond patient with the mother of the bride, who was very frazzled and a bit fussy, but Kim made time to do the 88 year old grandmother of the bride. The patience and care she put into making her up was beyond wonderful. My aunt, the bride's grandmother, was elated for days! I had a trial with another make up artist and they caked on the make up. I actually frightened my now husband. When I met Kim for the first time I told her about my experience and what I wanted. Kim is amazing! I first found her when I needed someone to do makeup for my wedding. Not only did she do an awesome job with the makeup but I have continued going to her for facials, which has made a big difference for my skin. This past month I've been having several break outs so I emailed Kim, and she immediately had me come in to check out what was going on. She gave me a complimentary microdermabrasion treatment which was incredible. Literally the next morning all my breakouts had decreased and my skin is beginning to look a lot more clear again.
