We have an old Amur Maple in our yard and it was looking anemic last summer. This spring, before…read morethe tree leafed out, I called Pine to Palm and Chris took a sample of the branches. The sample came back with two fungal issues so the decision was to prune heavily. A quote was prepared but when the arborists got into the higher branches, they discovered much of the tree was actually dead. It is a tree in the neighbourhood of 70 - 80 years so we decided to take the tree back to bare main trunks and remove all of the canopy. This will leave us a great structure to build a treehouse for our young grandchildren. Although we lost the tree, it will be useful for a treehouse and still has a great shape to fill the corner of our yard.
