Earlier in the day on the drive up I was a little bit concerned about getting rained out and then the sun came out and a beautiful almost with the sun set rainbow appeared (look closely at the pictures) into a beautiful dry evening for lighting off favorite fireworks and enjoying world class premium cigars! I love Adventures to Boom City!!!!!!!!!! Ps. You know when the majority of the population have to get up for work in a couple hours. And with it being a warm night, I imagine quite a few windows are open. I just cant get over their sense of entitlement. Let's be real, if a non Indigenous person or persons decided to set off a bunch of air horns at midnight in the middle of the week by Quil Ceda Walmart amd we interrupted their sleep. We all know it would not be tolerated and it would be seen as a cultural issue amd we would be forced to stop. But they can make as much noise as they want, at all hours of the night amd if we say anything, then we are racist against the tribe. Let me make myself clear, I have no problem with the Tulalip Tribe selling fireworks, heck I hope they make bank. My problem is with either them or their customers lighting off fireworks at all hours of the day and night. They used to be respectful during the work week by not setting any off after 10pm. But unfortunately that was years ago, now they dont seem to give a damn. So basically Marysville sounds like a freaking war zone the entire time Boom City is open. The saddest thing is because of Boom City I now hate the 4th of July holiday (and it used to be my favorite). Now I dread June, July, and August. And that's only if they sell out out. The last couple of years they have still be lighting fireworks off into September and October. So please to anyone who is going to buys fireworks at Boom City, please dont like any off while you're there.

The way they designed the playground makes it so a 3/4 year old can play with a 8 year old very well. Plenty of swings, and other small things for them to play on as well. This park has bathrooms, a gazebo with picnic tables for birthday parties or w/e and plenty of parking. You can also walk across street and there is a cliff view for pictures. This makes it a good spot for people visiting Washington. This is also the park a lot of people go to on the fourth of July to watch fireworks.

We encountered a group of (unfriendly) young women in hoop skirts, a photo shoot where a Dad was slowly twirling his daughter the bride while a photographer captured the moment (so sweet!), interesting sculptures, and volunteers tidying garden beds, who chatted with my Mom as though they had been friends forever. I've found that people have varied reactions when encountering a person with dementia; I'm always grateful when people spend a few minutes chatting with my Mom. Across the street is a great overlook park with picnic tables and benches that all had great views over the harbor.

The do business under the guise of charity to get you in there, then try to get you with their "Bait and Switch" tactics. Which most people wouldn't complain because Hey, they're supposed to be making all the money for a charity, right? I went in to this stand with my family. We were given a box to put our items in that we wanted. Once we spent what we could afford ($100) we decided we had enough and should go pay so we went . At this point, the man who was running the stand, came up to us and said just a minute, the price on one of our items(ur largest item) was wrong, that it was DOUBLE what the sticker price said(instead of $40, it was now $80). So he tried to scratch the price sticker off our item..... I was like, Whoa, whoa, u can't do that, that's not cool, you can't change the price of something when someone's trying to pay for it. He then said he was in charge of marketing(doubtful) in real life, and it was perfectly legal for him to do that. I just told him that it was bad business to do that to anyone. He was becoming more and more disrespectful because I wouldn't let him peel the sticker of the item before I got 1 picture... He got very close to me, so I turned on the video of my cell phone, at which point he reached to grab me to "get me to listen", I just kept saying it was bad business to do that, he then he started yelling at me t call the police on him. The whole situation was so shocking, and nothing that I, or my family are used to dealing with, that I said no I will not listen I am going to leave. As my son and myself were walking away, he was still yelling at me to call the police. I decided to send an email about the humiliating experience the had occurred because I wanted them to know how the people they were allowing to use the company name were behaving, only to receive a PHONE call to my personal cell phone from the man who had previously behaved so disrespectfully to myself and my family. It appears that the man (Brad) at the company who received my email that it would be a good idea to give that man, who yelled in my face, told me to call the police on him, and tried to grab me in order to get me to listen, my Personal information. Go To A Game! You will thank me! Spoiler Alert: This is a happy post. Last Christmas I purchased a five-game package for our family with the AquaSox. Yesterday was the first game we could attend; we were out of town for the first one. I knew this. I had planned on stopping by to pick up the tickets...every intention I might add... And yet I completely forgot. So, here we were at around 3:30 yesterday with no tickets. I emailed Chad, the account manager assigned to me with absolutely no assumption of actually getting the tickets in time for the game. Mind you, these are not expensive tickets. We are not sponsors or anyone important. I believe we would refer to this as a "Hail Mary" move but I had to try. Approximately seven minutes after I sent the email, on a Saturday, on game day, Chad responded. Not only did he respond, BUT HE ALSO HANDLED MY PROBLEM! Tickets were waiting for us, along with the hats and such, that came with the package. HOW COOL IS THAT? Chad, darling, you, and the AquaSox, are our heroes!
