For Worden State Park used to be somewhere I visited frequently in 2015. It's one of those unique…read moreplaces that has the ability to blend history and scenery so seamlessly that is stays with you forever. The historic military structures and preserved officer dwellings create a fun sense of stepping into the past. I did feel like that the park had a sense of weight to, in a super natural way if you catch my drift. I loved being able to sit on the beach and watch for wild life while feeling grounded. Highly recommend you visit this location in the Triangle of Fire.

When I originally wrote this my wife and I did not have an innerstanding regarding ADA laws and…read moreservice animals. Since than we have become educated so as to protect the laws set in motion by the ADA. There are 2 questions that can be asked regarding an animal that may be in question: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability. [Source: https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-faqs/) These questions were not addressed by the Park employee and the Park should have in place a plan on how to address an animal that isn't showing behavioral issues (ie: zero training, aggressive towards people/animals, etc.). There is a need for an awareness of the importance of being respectful to service animals. There is sadly many who claim their dogs as service animals when they're clearly not trained for any tasks and therefore should be labeled as ESA (Emotional Support Animal).

The do business under the guise of charity to get you in there, then try to get you with their "Bait and Switch" tactics. Which most people wouldn't complain because Hey, they're supposed to be making all the money for a charity, right? I went in to this stand with my family. We were given a box to put our items in that we wanted. Once we spent what we could afford ($100) we decided we had enough and should go pay so we went . At this point, the man who was running the stand, came up to us and said just a minute, the price on one of our items(ur largest item) was wrong, that it was DOUBLE what the sticker price said(instead of $40, it was now $80). So he tried to scratch the price sticker off our item..... I was like, Whoa, whoa, u can't do that, that's not cool, you can't change the price of something when someone's trying to pay for it. He then said he was in charge of marketing(doubtful) in real life, and it was perfectly legal for him to do that. I just told him that it was bad business to do that to anyone. He was becoming more and more disrespectful because I wouldn't let him peel the sticker of the item before I got 1 picture... He got very close to me, so I turned on the video of my cell phone, at which point he reached to grab me to "get me to listen", I just kept saying it was bad business to do that, he then he started yelling at me t call the police on him. The whole situation was so shocking, and nothing that I, or my family are used to dealing with, that I said no I will not listen I am going to leave. As my son and myself were walking away, he was still yelling at me to call the police. I decided to send an email about the humiliating experience the had occurred because I wanted them to know how the people they were allowing to use the company name were behaving, only to receive a PHONE call to my personal cell phone from the man who had previously behaved so disrespectfully to myself and my family. It appears that the man (Brad) at the company who received my email that it would be a good idea to give that man, who yelled in my face, told me to call the police on him, and tried to grab me in order to get me to listen, my Personal information. Do NOT give these lying schemers your money! Find a real charity to donate to!!!
