Went here today (6/23/25). The vendors are great very helpful and friendly. The issue I ran into was the shoot site is closed. They are having some insurance issues so the consumer is not allowed to shoot any fireworks. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I drove from Seattle (the land of no fireworks) with intentions of having some fun lighting off some fireworks. I would have driven south had I known. Anyway they are keeping this quiet since they know the impact this will have on their business. read more

This place is awesome to buy fireworks. I go there every year on new years and the 4th of july. I drop thousands of dollars there. However the food vendors are not so great. Me and my 10 yo son were there lighting fireworks today, he wanted some rolled ice cream from the rolled ice cream place right in front of the parking lot. Soo were standing in front of the tent by the order here window for 10 minutes and nobody said a thing to me. There was not one sign that said they were not open yet. I mean it is 12:30 in the afternoon so I'm already standing at the window so I open it a tiny bit the lady inside says sir dont do that we are not open yet. I say oh sorry and immediately close the little Crack I opened in the window. We start walking away. The lady then yells YOU CANT JUST GO AROUND OPENNING PEOPLES STUFF. Um ok if you would have said something the 10 minutes we were standing there instead of standing there staring at me or put up a sign that says you don't open untill 1 pm when every other food truck there is already opened. Maybe I would not have opened the windows the little crack that I opened it. Anyways then we go to the shaved ice place because he decided he wanted shaved ice instead of that rude lady's ice cream. The lady starts makeing his shaved ice then the other lady says I'll cash you out. He hands her a 20$ bill i know it waa a 20 because I just got it out of the atm which only gives 20s she hands him 2$ back i thought that was a little much for shaved ice. The lady gets done makeong it and says ok that'll be 8$ then says oh wait did she allready cash you out we say yes then leave then he tells me the lady that made it said it was 8$. Anyways needless to say today was the 1st and only time I will ever go to boom city food trucks. We visit Boom City every year and finally found the diamond in the rough a few years ago, BLONDE BOMBSHELL FIREWORKS. We've been loyal customers for 4+ years now and while you can walk the aisles and get harassed by stand after stand (if that's your thing, great, we hate it) you can go to straight to Blonde Bombshell instead and receive top tier service with amazing prices and the friendliest staff. Their selection is also insane! Austin, the owner, really takes his time and purchases only the best. He's super knowledgeable and will get you set up right for whatever 4th of July shenanigans you want to get into! From smoke balls, sparklers and pretty fountains to 300+ shot mega-cakes and more, you can't go wrong here. I can't wait to head back again this year and see what new stuff they've gotten! read more

Go early before the crowd. Don't spend all your cash in one place. Keep track of what you are buying and use a calculator to add it up. Then offer a cash discount price. I failed to do this and ended up paying $10 over retail. I tried to work with the owner, but they couldn't quite understand what I was complaining about when I thought some fireworks were missing I had intended to purchase. Other reviews on yelp brought me straight to "Up in Smoke". I ended up spending all my money, then some, just to be disappointed when I got home. Shop around. Don't buy all at one place. Put some cash down and make an offer. The prices are high this year. Only 50% of the supply has arrived due to shipping delays and inventory sitting on ships due to dock workers staying home. Owners have to pay cash 4 months in advance. They drive hundreds of miles to get the collection. At times they need to purchase from 6 different vendors, some withlimits. What you see in my vehicle is $595 worth of fireworks. read more

This is the perfect place to hone in your haggling skills. Boom City is also the place where you can literally hear customers mutter the words "wow" and "omg." There were numerous stands open however not as much as 4th. Sellers were braving the cold weather for the sake of supplying consumers with awe inspiring fireworks. We decided to walk the middle path and found ourselves bombarded with offers from sellers and invites to browse their stand. Cards are accepted however cash is king when haggling. We ended up purchasing a 24 pack of mortar shells and 4 packs of sparklers for $45. There were more options such as tanks, friendship pagodas, and even Roman candles. We decided to go light on the fireworks, but vowed to return for the 4th of July. My one recommendation is don't get hooked on the first stand that you see. The people selling food and fireworks are nice and sometimes give us discounts but this 4th of July a mortar hit my thigh and exploded luckily somehow the damage was small just hit and slight burn marks but after that when we got to the car a firetruck zoomed in someone probably got really hurt or worse and did i mention the smoke and people? Like ten big mortars were going off in the kids area which is why i got hit with one and a large group of peope near the entrance of the kids area had like 10 fireworks go off in the middle of it which led people to push, scream and run. Also some other close calls with cakes and such. Everything else was also fine but i wish they enforced the rules a bit more and had more staff on site and i think boom city led me to not have 4th of July my favorite holiday anymore. I would not recommend for small kids and newbies its a war zone out there literally we almost died there. read more

You probably already know about how reservation fireworks stands work, but I'll run it down in case you're actually curious about what to expect. First and foremost, bring cash, have a general idea what you want, and haggle. Usually, the more stuff you buy, the better the prices will be on everything. I go for mortars (also called "artillery") and cakes, which are the main things most stands sell. Mortars are the big loud displays, cakes are the grand finale boxes that launch several medium-sized displays one after another. I will say that many stands now take cards for purchases, but to my mind cash is a better bargaining tool, and keeps you on budget, and everybody likes cash deals out here. They also have sets, and plenty of little stuff--firecrackers, ground blooms, buzz bombs, sparklers, bottle rockets. If you buy a bunch of stuff, try to get them to throw in things like these for free. You park in gravel and walk across gravel, so wear sturdy shoes. There's a big field where they let stuff off on and off all day and night, and you can see which stuff might appeal to you. The stands themselves are like a promenade of booths at the state fair. Some of the guys are like carnival barkers, really trying to hook you in and push stuff on you. Actually, most of them are. I like guys who patiently answer questions and tell you what things are like and give you a sense of whether you'd enjoy this one or that one more than the others. With this in mind, I *really* recommend Triple Treasures, if you can find them. They named the place after their three daughters. Really nice dude running the stand when we were there. Spent 15 minutes walking us through the stuff, and we bought only what 2 people could carry back to the truck. If at all possible, get there before 10, maybe even around 9. Go as late in the holiday as you can--on the 4th, even. That's when people offer the best deals. The traffic getting in here is INSANE if you go later in the morning, and in the afternoon it's bad enough you start seeing fender-benders. This is definitely the bigger fireworks stand in this state, from what I can see. About twice the size of Muckleshoot. They open up for New Year's Eve as well, and many vendors can arrange off-holiday sales (legal on the res) if you score and get in touch with one who does that. On a personal note, cities near my place have discussed annexing the neighborhood I live in, but we're still in unincorporated Snohomish County. So fireworks like these are perfectly legal. Provided you're smart enough not to burn anything down, this makes for such a rad way to celebrate the Fourth (or a Seahawks win, NYE, or whatever). I'm really grateful to have finally come out here and loaded up on fireworks. After all, I've only lived in Snohomish County for a decade now. What a great time. read more

I will say this because you should definitely know this if you go up there- Don't buy fireworks from the first person that flags you down! You need to circle the rows a couple times, then they know you are shopping for the best price available. If one of the vendors offers you a "special price", you tell them "well the other stand down there will sell me two of those for the same price!" And before you agree to buy, ask them to throw in a couple extra things for you. You have to be a good bargainer, or else, you should just buy fireworks from the TNT stands! read more

This place was PACKED for the 4th! We let "the boys" go and work their magic on the wheeling and dealing of the firework show for the cabin. They took their sweet time but came back with a giant box of $350 worth of fireworks. As we were pulling out of the place we made it just in time because the line was backed up all the way to the street just to get in! We took 11 of us up there last night for our 3rd annual trek. As far as getting deals goes? Who knows what mark up is there to be haggled down. I figured we wanted to get a mix to keep our group happy and started with the big stuff then got him to add on the medium and little things. Just when you get close to the end of your deal add a little "throw me in 5 of these " statements and see how far it goes. We then went off to the north field to blow stuff up. Do I have to tell you how much fun this is? No you know what chaos is being had. At one point one of the security guys came up and told us we needed to make sure to be around at 12 for the 500 cake show his family was putting on in memory of his cousin. They do this every year on the third. So after we were done with our $600 worth we hiked to the casino to eat buffet and made it back in time for the display. 1/2 hour of total insanity, smoke, fire, explosions in the crowd and enough flowers in the sky to keep half of China employed! This was the best show I have ever been to. No music or dancing smiley faces in the sky. Just one lone maniac in the center of the field with a flare lighting bomb cake after bomb cake for more than 30 minutes. Thanks to Louie's family for putting this on. read more

There is seriously no better place to buy fireworks anywhere in the greater Seattle area. This place has rows and rows of fireworks stands and you will find just about anything you could ever imagine. There's even an adjoining field where you are more than welcome to shoot off as many explosive things as you would ever want. Boom City is located on the Tulalip reservation not far from the Tulalip Casino which means they have all the good stuff that's not allowed at the non-reservation stands. If you want to put on the type of 4th of July show that will be the envy of all your neighbors and might even get you arrested...this is the place to go! read more

So, you want some fireworks. Pack up a few fellas, get some cash, and drive on over. I visited last night ( a Monday ) and things were pretty tame. Here is my best advice from going a few years in a row now. Take cash, set a limit, and buy from one stand. Walk a bit and see who looks like they have a good variety and stop to chat. Face it, fireworks are a waste of money and you are not going to win by getting some amazing deal unless you know somebody that won't screw you. My game is I simply tell them I'll spend this much and I expect half off what is marked. You can get quite a bit for $100 bucks or so and feel good walking away. They are still going to make plenty of money to pay their bills and you will end up with lots of stuff. The more you buy, the better off you are on freebies and throw ins. Ask what is better than what and they will usually steer you towards the better products. When it is time to leave simply cover your stuff up or put it in the trunk. Don't drive like a douche and you won't get pulled over and have to explain the fireworks. Every cop in the county knows people buy there and don't stay to light them all off on the res. Just take it easy on the roads, stay safe, and have a great 4th. read more

We survived boom city. No missing digits Our eyes have sunken back into their sockets after they got as big as saucers and nearly popped out due to visionary overload. The ringing in the ears stopped at breakfast this morning (thank God for the nightcap of Advil). We also survived the boom-a-rang type of firework that once launched out of the tube goes up in the air and suddenly as if it was a heat seeking missle turns around and comes straight back at ya. Thankfully all the kids were asleep in the house and it was adult time because we couldn't scramble and dodge fast enough out of our rickety foldup camping chairs. I dove behind my brother while he tried his best to cower into the fetal position. Awesome fourth of July. A true Seattle institution, like Ivars, Nordstroms, or hiking the north cascades. You have to haggle with them on price, but once you do they know you're legit and will offer up the "good shit". Last time I was here was a few years ago, but there were roughly 300 fireworks stands and a giant gravel pit next to it where you could blow stuff up. It is a mad house, and there is no organization, and that is some of the strengths of Boom City. read more
