It's high intensity and high cardio. You will break a sweat! They have tons of different scenarios you can try out so you won't get bored of the game. It'll be a little awkward at first because of the face mask and the arm protection band but you get used to it. It's the perfect activity for a birthday party or a friend hangout. I'd love to go back with my family. Force Academy: we've all wondered what it would be like to wield a light saber. It's definitely harder than it looks. My arm was so weak and I'm so short it kept hitting the ground. But by the end of my session I was decent! They teach you some cool moves just like in the movies and they put you in some cool scenarios to practice. The staff is great. Super friendly. They'll teach you everything you need to know and then it's up to you. I had Zack both times I went and I really like him. Some things to remember before you go: - get there early, there are wavers to sign - be dressed to do some physical activity - if you're a small group you might be with strangers so if you don't like that idea, reserve for your group only. - bring a lock for the locker area - sign up for their newsletter. They have tons of promotions year round. As I'm writing this I already want to go back and play!!!

This place is a little bit outside downtown Montreal but an easy Uber ride. There's 1 large "arena" and you're generally split up in 2 competing teams. Think archery plus dodgeball and you get the gist of the game. All the arrows have foam tips on them so didn't hurt at all if you get hit with one. This was actually pretty good exercise for an hour since it involved a lot of short sprints to get arrows and getting back to the hiding place. My arm was also sore for a couple days after for holding up the bow! We all sucked badly, blaming it on the bar crawl the night before but absolutely had a blast!

I definitely recommend trying archery tag, at least once. The animators at Combat d'Archers are professional and patient. They taught us the right techniques, had all the necessary equipment, and organized a variety of games with different rules. The only negative about this place is its size. The field is quite small, which doesn't leave much room for running or any sort of strategic game play. But, seeing as most people who go there are amateurs at best, it was still a fun experience. I just don't know how many times people will want to go back, if it is always the same setting.

Then this is the place for you. 10 buddies and I came here for a bachelor party afternoon hangout and we all had a blast doing different activities here. First of all, this seems like a popular spot for bachelor party groups as we ran into a few other large group of guys seemingly celebrating too. The place isn't too big, but it fulfills it's purpose. Basically, there's numerous combat sport activities that could be done here - archery range, combat archery, axe/knife throwing, rage cage and NERF battles. For our group, we split into a group of 4 and 6, as the 4 went with the rage cage and the 6 went forward with the combat archery. I can't speak for the rage cage fellas, but I participated in the combat archery and we had an awesome hour of just shooting rubber arrows at each other in different variations of team death matches. Guests are provided facial protection and a bow, but that's pretty much it. The rubber arrows don't really hurt, so there wasn't any need for it. It's completely unlike paint balling. For anyone unfamiliar with rage cage, it's an interesting activity. Participants who sign up for it suit up in some protective gear and are given freedom to destroy a set number of small and large objects (glass, appliances, etc) in a multitude of ways, which include using bats and crowbars. It's definitely a great way to relieve oneself of some major stress. Overall, our entire group had a fantastic time and would definitely do something like this again if we ever had the chance. Just don't forget to make a reservation for your group prior to going.

My 12 year old was in heaven. He could climb, swing, jump, crawl, and propel himself all under the watchful eye of the wonderful souls in the red shirts. He was perfectly harnessed and they were very explicit in their safety rules. I was able to observe him from the ground in a comfy Adirondack chair with other parents. Some read books, others enjoyed the sunshine. It was a really positive experience. They have a small snack bar which was helpful. It really is a wonderful ropes/obstacle course. They have an inflatable park, but he never made it there since he was having a great time. We will definately go back!

The staff is nice and efficient (there was a problem with our lane which took about 30 minutes to solve but he added the time back to our reservation). They've got arcades at the entrance, and also air hockey, foosball and pool tables. They state on their website that they have 72 lanes with half for small pins and half of them for regular pin bowling. There were lanes and shoes readily available for our group of 4. The cons is that the place is showing its age--everything is old. The shoes, the machines, the balls, etc. The balls are pretty dinged up with dents in them. For the regular pin bowling, they didn't have many lighter balls. Most of them were very heavy. But that wasn't the problem--it's the fact that all the bowling balls were disgustingly greasy! People eat and put their greasy paws on the balls and it looks like the staff don't clean the balls. Since I've not gone bowling for at least a dozen years, I don't recall ever playing with greasy bowling balls. Can anyone tell me if this is the norm? We all enjoyed the small pin bowling so it was cool that there were plenty of lanes available for that. To switch lanes, you need to request that at the counter. I would go back but would bring some Lysol wipes to clean the balls before playing.
