TLC has been a favorite destination for my rambunctious Am. Bulldog mix Sunny over the past few years since we rescued her. She gets super excited within a mile of arriving and reportedly spends her entire time playing. I pick her up in the late afternoons and find her completely exhausted and happy. She barely makes it out of their parking lot before she's asleep snoring. The staff have always been friendly in all my interactions with them and addressed my concerns the few times I had any questions. Gladly recommend their services! read more

Our 5th pup loves doggie daycare, playing with all her pals. And hanging with the staff - who honestly love our pups as much as we do! I've had a depressed pup, who refused to eat - TOC staff got him a burger to tempt him into eating something while he was boarded for a week. They groom my dog so badly, he always ends up looking like a crackhead dog! Also the 3 times that I've brought my dog here, poor guy shakes so crazy that he poops out his nerves! Also they charge so much for such a crap grooming. Do not come here. read more

This is just a business; Don't feel like the staff is all that friendly. Don't think the groomer is familiar with grooming our type of dogs which we have had for 11 years and they require grooming about every 6 weeks. Our dogs did not look good when they came out from being groomed and they were very nervous. Previously had experience with other groomers and they actually came out and talked to you about how your pet behaved and offered recommendations if they felt any were needed. Not sure what the quality check is but won't be bringing our dogs back. read more

We're brought our dog here for the last few years and they're very accommodating to the fact that he is very aggressive. However, the last time we brought our dog he contracted kennel cough and parasitic scabies. Won't be bringing him back anytime soon. read more

Love TLC, but not as much as my Boston Terrier does. He's young and very energetic and always placed in a group that matches his energy level. We get back a happy and exhausted pup. We like the convenience of being able to schedule grooming with boarding. Day care is reasonably priced, the staff are all friendly and clearly like their furry little charges. I noted some complaints about kennel cough and I will say this, kennel cough just happens sometimes . I've always had my dogs vaccinated against it. Voila, no problems! read more

They seem to do a good job grooming my dog which is what counts but they have consistently Unfriendly front staff.

The staff was very kind and accommodating from start to finish. I called for a last minute grooming appointment, and having never been there the woman I spoke with explained the difference in price with the different services. I booked an appointment for my dog a few days later. As I was filling out paperwork, people were bringing in their pups for daycare. All the dogs were greeted by name and happy to be there. The man who groomed my dog was very warm and did an outstanding job. Finally, the girl at the desk when we picked up the dog offered to bring her to the car as I was also juggling my crazy toddler. Worst grooming experience I have ever had. If you have a golden or similar type dog, DO NOT GO THERE. Despite the owner's comments below, I was only asked if I wanted her coat trimmed and I indicated "yes, but not too short". I was NEVER asked if I wanted her buzzed or left with a 1/4 inch coat since we have never had our golden groomed that way. This completely changes the look of a golden which is definitely not what we wanted or ever received from any other groomer. The owner was not present at check-in and clearly did not verify that any of these questions were asked. They clearly do not know how to groom goldens correctly. Brian M. read more

Not for my dog! We called and it was great getting her in quickly for a grooming appt. they said drop off time was between 8-9am and didn't give me a time to pick up. They took her collar off right away and put a rope tie around her. We called at 2 and they said she still wasn't ready but would be at 4. I was going by there so I stopped in at 3 to see how she was doing. All the staff was just standing around and they were like we told you 4 so no she's not ready. Apparently everyone picks up at 4? They never told us that. Her front legs are so shaven down and she has been clingy ever since. Tons of barking dogs and just not impressed. Won't be back. read more

Have used this place several times to board my greyhound. She is pretty shy and a senior and they always handle her with care. I can call when I am away to check in her and they never act like I am bothering them. One time my dog became dirty and they bathed her and didn't charge me. Prices are very reasonable. Will always do business with them! read more

We left our 10 month old rescued dog for one night. We enrolled her in doggie day care. Also, we had her groomed. She seemed happy and tired when we picked her up and the groomers did a great job. I wasn't sure how she would react to being boarded since she has separation anxiety. She had no problem leaving us to go with the workers. They reported that she did great with the other dogs. read more

I have been using TLC for about 10 years now. I was quite disturbed about some on the recent reviews as my experience here has been nothing short of wonderful. Denise (owner) as had to make that hard phone call to me when we left our dog boarded at her location. She was able to notice that Belle was not acting quite right and suspected she had Lyme disease and suggested we have the Vet check her out. While I hated getting the call while on vacation I was happy that she noticed so quickly. She drove Belle to our vet (30+ minuets away) and had her looked at. She was correct on the diagnosis and needed to receive medical treatment. Denise and her team were able to provide the treatment while we were gone and updated us regularly on our vacation. Belle also received obedience training at her facility (not done by TLC but used their space). Belle has no real issues of being boarded there as she was trained there so that is a nice addition as well. Our dogs are boarded generally once or more per year there without any problems. They love social hour and daycare as well. Both of our dogs Belle and Diamond were again boarded in December 2015 (when everyone else on yelp was complaining about kennel cough). My dogs have received their shots for kennel cough and were fine for the 2 weeks while there. Maybe others should get the vaccines rather than complain that somehow it is TLC fault. read more

Our dog Cosmo has had some problems with groomers and has actually been banned by one and given up on by another. He is not an aggressive dog but is terrified to be washed and groomed. Luckily we decided to give TLC a try on a recommendation from a friend. For reasons I do not understand we bring him there without any drama. Great find for us. read more

TLC Pet Haven is not a place for my dog. The people who work there will leave dogs out in the rain. So many times I've picked up my dog soaking wet. My friends dog is sent here to play but they never put the dog into a group to play yet they still charge extra for the play time. I talked to someone who worked there and they said that if dogs are unruly or difficult then they sit in a crate all day long and are never played with. This doesn't seem fair considering dog parents are paying extra to have their dog in good company. Their dogs could sit in a crate at home for free. Extremely unethical business practices. They use bleach to sanitize and do not wash it away before the dogs use the area. The dogs have rashes on their paws from this. Also they use vinegar to clean urine which is why my dog always smells so awful when I pick her up. read more

I always get nervous leaving my dog at a kennel, especially when I'm trying somewhere new, but I had a great first experience here. My dog is old and has extreme separation anxiety but I was assured that they would take good care of her and they definitely did. They made sure to put her in a play group with dogs who were older and more her speed. She also had a bath on her last day of her stay and she's the softest I've ever felt and has continued to smell good for almost a week. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I've been going here for years, my favorite doggie place anywhere! They are so good with my american bulldog, she plays all day and is still clean when she comes home. She absolutely loves it there, the doggie day care workers are great! The front desk staff can occasionally be a bit rude/abrupt, but they all take really good care of my dog. I took my two Goldens to TLC for years. NEVER a bad experience. I'm sure they remember Sam and Alli. Even being on busy 146 I was able to remove their collars in the car because they would run, actually run to the front door. They couldn't wait to go back with the workers. i had called TLC to have my dog groomed. They did fit her in and did a good job. But when i got there i didn't feel it was a very professional atmosphere.. there were people just sitting around and was not very organized. After about a week of being home.. my dog began to "cough". Took her to the vet and was told she had contracted kennel cough and was caught at the groomers, since that was the only place she has been. I have 3 other dogs and now they all have it!! won't be going back anytime soon.. read more

I need to get my cat groomed because she's long haired and ended up getting some knots in her fur that I couldn't get out. It took a while to find someone who would groom cats, and even longer to find someone who would do a scheduled appointment. I book a straight-through appointment on a Friday or Saturday morning. It's a little extra, but in an hour or so she's done an we can take her home. I feel bad leaving her there all day to drip dry! The people are really nice and quick, and I'm always surprised when they say how well behaved she is.. I guess because she's so scared :) It's great to have a place nearby that I can take my cats! The last time we brought her in, she needed her rear shaved because she'd made a big gross mess... yeah... very thankful for them! read more

ZERO STARS.I boarded my dog there once about 4 years ago for one week, and can honestly say it was the absolute WORST experience for both me and my poor dog. She came home with multiple bug bites, sun burnt ears, bald and raw spots on her stomach, elbows, chest, and rear end, I assume they didn't provide any bedding. Also she was skinny looking, and had bloody diarrhea. She previously had been boarded other places with NO problems what so ever, however I was in a pinch to find a kennel and chose them.. I tried several times to contact the owner/manager, and was told time after time they they were on vacation and never returned my calls. What also rubbed me the wrong way was the place smells, is dirty, yet somehow a member of the Better Business Bureau. Do you and your pet a favor, and go elsewhere. I HIGHLY recommend Gibson Kennel in Grafton on route 140, it's clean, humane, and my dog has been boarded happily there for many times, with no problem, EVER. read more
