The service has been top notch every time and the staff are really dedicated. It's obvious they care for the pets and provide the best care. I would never consider any other place for my pet's safety while I am away.

I chose Community Animal…read moreHospital based mostly off reviews, and I'm glad I did because I probably wouldn't have known about the Inn & Spa. Google was only showing me places like Woof, Gibson's and Waggerz. I've tried Woof and Gibson's so far and Community Animal Inn & Spa is my favorite. The Inn & Spa is located underneath the Hospital. Pull into the same parking lot for the Hospital but go down the hill and there's more parking down there for the Inn & Spa. From the parking lot, you can see the outdoor area. They have curbside pickup now and you can either text or call (but the staff is super good about coming out before you even get a chance to do that). What makes the Inn & Spa better? Their outdoor area and size of the facility. They rotate the dogs to play inside and outside so the dogs get a decent amount of TLC, time to stay on their normal potty schedules, and then time to rest some if they choose. I also feel like the Inn & Spa has more staff attending to the dogs. My dog is always super excited when I bring him here and he's pooped when he comes home. He's pretty high energy and some other daycare places that are smaller don't do the trick for him. The staff is super friendly and personable. They took a cute picture of him when he was playing in the snow. They're also great about feeding him and fulfilling any requests. The only bad is that they open too late! 8AM on weekdays and 9AM on weekends. I would totally take him here more but I have to be at work too early, which is why I had to check out other daycare facilities. Also, a package to make daycare in bulk cheaper is in the works so that's a plus. Overall, if you need a vet, if you need lodging, if you need grooming, or if you need just daycare, this is seriously a one-stop shop for it all. Highly recommend! (Just open earlier pretty please!)

Use caution before boarding your dog here…read more We have boarded our dog at multiple other facilities and due to our regular housesitter not being available we needed a place last minute. We will not be returning due to multiple red flags. 1) When asked if they offer a trial visit or a tour we were informed, they do not offer tours or a trial visit prior to boarding. At every other facility, they have not allowed our dog to board or attend daycare without a trial visit and some type of tour. 2) The owner did not demonstrate basic dog interaction awareness. They require the dog to wear a paper collar with the facilities name and phone number. Our dog was clearly anxious (visibly shaking and hiding behind my husband). An employee attempted to put the collar on and our dog and he immediately hid behind my husband and the employee immediately gave our dog space. My husband offered to try and the employee handed to collar to him. The owner then came out from behind the desk and abruptly stated, "I'll just do it." and grabbed the paper collar from my husband's hands. She then got in our dogs face and attempted to put the collar on our dog. Our dog, again demonstrating he was anxious growled and nipped at her. She swatted our dog in the face and then accused him of not being a friendly dog. The owner then began repeatedly asking us if they our dog was friendly. We repeatedly assured her he was friendly, we have boarded him before and have a young child. She then accused the other places we have boarded him at as never interacting with him. When we told her we knew that wasn't true by pictures we are regularly provided by the other facilities and cameras available as well as them giving him baths while there, she quieted. 3) The owner couldn't seem to remember any parts of our conversation (approximately 15 minute interaction). She asked us a series our clerical questions when we got there, wrote down the answers, and proceeded to ask many of the same questions 3-4 more times. My husband questioned if she realized she had already asked us the question and written down the answer. She responded with "I'm old, it's my memory I need to write things down to remember." 4) Our dog wears a Fi collar. One of the days he was there he only had 3 minutes of activity, in comparison to over 3 hours of activity on the day prior.

Too many dogs with not enough supervision…read more My dog who has never displayed any aggression or anxiety around other dogs and has been boarded before at other facilities was an absolute wreck when we picked him up from Dalton's Cherrywood Kennel. My usual cuddly loving dog spent 2 days not wanting any human to even come near him. I'm not saying it's a bad place, just sharing an experience. Every dog reacts differently.
