Snoopy is a 10 year old toy poodle - who lacks social skills and is overly protective of me and his territory. Perhaps it's all my fault - he's spoiled. Besides family, Snoopy spends the majority of his time with me. Besides, grooming and medical, Leash Dog Care was the first time I've ever trusted anyone with Snoopy in my absence - so as you can imagine, my anxiety level was high when I decided to leave Snoopy under the care of Darrell and Javier for four days during my family vacation. Prior to my departure, Darrell and Javier came to the house to do a meet and greet. Guess what? Snoopy warmed up to them right away. That never happens. He's skeptical of everyone. Leash has been a life saver since moving to JP from East Boston this summer. We had a walker that we loved and trusted and were seriously concerned that other companies would be too corporate/over scheduled/wouldn't come out to our area. Our small dog Murray is super anxious around other dogs and in general so we had some hesitation starting him with a new set of walkers, especially when we leave on weekend trips for 1-2 days. Not only is Darrell extremely responsive, professional and kind his team works to accommodate our craziest days - even when we give very little notice. It is so helpful to have such a flexible team watching Murray and when we've left on weekends and let Leash watch Murray we come home to a happy, well fed, tired dog. I recently hired Leash when my regular dogwalker went on vacation. We met at my house, took a walk together with my dogs, basically became acquainted. I decided to hire Leash that day. They were prepared with the administrative stuff - just basic paperwork and forms to set up my online account, which was all very quick and easy. They took care of my babies for me for two weeks, walking them midday while I was at work. And on unexpected longer days at the office, I would simply text Leash to ask if they could do an additional walk in the early evening - they're schedule allowed them to accomodate. Leash has been great. They are sensitive to my dogs' needs, are very kind to them, and very respectful of my home and neighborhood. They even videotape their walks, texting me a link immediately following each walk - pretty awesome! And payment online is quick and easy. I will continue to be a client. We have been with Leash since Sept 2016 and couldn't be happier. Lucy and Jax (our two hyper boxers) can be a lot to handle, especially when walking them together. The Leash guys have been great with them and make sure they get some energy out during the day. Darrell and Javier are extremely responsive to texts and keep me updated during walks (either by the live stream video or texts/pictures). I usually text my appointment requests a few days or weeks in advance since my husband and I have rotating schedules. Leash has always been able to accommodate even for last minute requests. In addition to walks, we have also used Leash for pet sitting when we have had to travel for a few weddings. The dogs have always been well taken care of. We love Leash Dog Care and couldn't be happier with how attentive the team is to our energetic and strong boxer/lab mix, Kelly. Between picture updates, the live feed, and text updates, I am kept in the loop and never have to wonder if everything is OK. They are incredibly transparent and thoughtful about communications, which I appreciate while I'm at work. One day I was home and she all of a sudden started jumping and waging her tail with excitement. I had forgotten to tell the Leash team I would be home that day and realized she was bouncing off the wall because she looked out the window and saw Darrell getting out of his car. We LOVE Darrell & LEASH Dog Care! A few months after bringing our yellow lab retriever home last year my fiance and I were looking for doggy day care to help us out during the day and to tire our happy pup out. LEASH is the best- they actually come to your house, pick up your pup, bring them to playgroup where they get to run around with other dogs for hours on end and then bring them home all tuckered out. Our pup, Sadie, absolutely loves going to playgroup to see all her "friends" and is so tired when she gets home she sleeps most of the evening. We get a picture or two of her during the day to see what she's up to which is great. Darrell and the entire LEASH team are amazing. I've used both their walking and playgroup services for the past 6 months. They've been extremely accommodating with walking and feeding our incredibly temperamental Shiba Inu over the course of an entire weekend when our dog sitter bailed last minute. They've been incredibly patient with my non-potty trained (at the time)10 week old Aussie. Their play group service is exceptionally convenient, well-priced, and Molly (the now 11 month old Aussie) comes back worn out and ready to relax on the couch for the remainder of the day. Darrell is extremely responsive and I'm not sure if I've ever waited more than 60 minutes for a text or email reply with any query I've ever sent him. I wish I could give Darrell and his team more than 5 stars. They took over walking my beloved pup, Henry, after a bad spell with another service. I was over protective and anxious about leaving my love with someone else. Darrell was understanding and supportive. He assured me and explained how he and his team would make sure Henry was always well taken care of. I should never have worried. Henry loved every walk with Darrell and Javier. When Henry started getting sick Javier would report to me every symptom and regularly cleaned up after my ill pup. When by beloved Henry passed, both Darrell and Javier called and offered me their support and talked with me about how much they loved Henry. LEASH was there for my dog AND for me. Been using the services of Leash for two years now. The company is fantastic. The owners are highly professional and provide a great service. All employees I have had contact with have been great and update me daily on my dog when they walk her and how she was. My dog is now older and requires some extra care and Leash has been great, the staff is like her second family. They also use a great online system which makes it easy to schedule and to pay bills. The one thing I love is that they only walk my dog by herself so she gets the full attention. The prices are very good and the services are worth it. My husband and I went away for a week and needed someone to take care of our 23 year old cat. Leash was recommended to us. We contacted Leash and received an immediate response. The owners came to our home we filled out the basic paperwork they met our cat played with her a bit and even offered to feed and clean her litter box that day! VERY IMPRESSIVE! During our time away each time Leash came to our home we received a text to view the LIVE streaming of her visits. Leash did an AMAZING job with taking care of our cat. I have been using Leash since moving to West Roxbury over a year ago. I can not say enough good things about this company! Our dog Leah has done overnight pet sittings on several occasions. Typically we use Leash for dog walks while we are working. More recently we have signed Leah up for playgroup which offers convenient pickups/drop off! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Darrell and Javier at Leash Dog Care! It was a great feeling right from the beginning when they came to meet us at our house and we got to see how they would interact with our giant puppy(140lb Mastiff)! Darrell and the Leash team started walking our golden retriever puppy, Leroy, regularly when he was only about six months. As first time dog owners, my husband and I took such comfort in knowing he was in good hands. They send videos, photos and a message letting us know when the walk is complete so there's no question of when Leroy has been taken out. My dog Georgia is an American bulldog mix. She has boarded at Leash twice in 2022 and I was very happy with the company. My Dog's Best Friends! Darryl and Javier are incredible dog walkers and sitters. My Lhasa Apso is a very lovable by finicky little man, but he adores his friends at Leash. We have been using Leash for dog walking since our dog Charlie was a puppy! They are reliable and caring. Charlie LOVES Darrell and gets so excited when he sees him. Not only do they do walks but they now have playgroup where they pick the dogs up for 2 hours to play and drop them back off. This is great for our dog to get energy out and not just sitting in the crate all day while we are at work! We get a text with pictures after every walk.
