Dr. Morra has a great sense of humor and my kids enjoy him as well as as the nurse practitioners in his office. Once when my daughter was 3 or 4 we took her to a Priority Care over the weekend where they prescribed antibiotics for an ear infection and cream for a bad diaper rash. I had a feeling none of this was correct so we saw Dr. Morra Monday morning and it turned out there was no ear infection and the rash was actually caused by a virus. We were so thankful that he caught it and we didn't give our daughter an unneeded antibiotic. We also appreciate that he never prescribes unneeded medicine! We are so grateful for the great care that the staff has given us and our children all these years! We will be with them for several more!

When she got out of the NICU 3.5 months later I had selected Dr Laff as her pediatrician. I had undiagnosed mononucleosis and covid and my milk had dried up. Dr Laff had closely questioned why I wasn't breastfeeding and wanted to know why I couldn't buy the breast pump the hospital had (a $3000 breast milk pump) and when I told her how much it cost she was unimpressed and asked me again why I wasn't breastfeeding my child. Other things happened but this will always stick out in my memory. I will never forget Stacie Laff and I tell other parents about her often, along with teachers, and other doctors my son and daughter see. We were having issues with finding a peditrician that didn't seem to talk down to us or even the feeling of being judged. After switching our daughter twice we finally came across and decided to try Dr. Norman. He also has a couple nurse practitionars that work out of his office and so far we have loved them all. They get us in quick they are not rushing us through our appointment. They are by far worth the 20 minute drive. We trust him fully with our childs healthcare needs.

It was a hard thing to do, leaving a family practice I knew and trusted for a doctor I had only heard of. But I went for it, and I am SO glad I did. Every time I leave A to Z I kick myself for not having taken my daughter to a pediatrician all along- especially in those first months of parenthood when you don't know what the heck is going on. The waiting room is super kid friendly with an underwater theme. My daughter freaks out in love about the water wall (it's sort of like a waterfall under glass, but with more bubbles). The entire place is painted with a beachy theme, with lots of bright colors and letters and paintings all over the place. It's so great. Even the exam rooms have little baskets full of toys to keep my daughter occupied so she isn't stuck playing with the exam table like at our other doctor. We see Dr. Wagner and are definitely in love. She's very easy to talk to and relatable and down to earth. Once, when we had a yucky diaper rash issue, instead of just scheduling an appointment to bring the girl in, she gave us some really great, specific tips to try for 5 days or so. This I loved since at my old doctor's office they would have just made an appointment for her and one of the Physician's Assistants, not even the doctor, would have seen her. Love it.

We were subsequently charged for an additional sick/problem visit on top of the well visit. I called the office simply to question the charge and understand why we were billed for two visits. I was told the additional charge was because my child mentioned the issue during the well visit. I expressed my concern with that explanation, and the staff member told me she would speak with the doctor. I never received a phone call, explanation, or opportunity to discuss the matter with the physician. Instead, the next communication I received was a letter in the mail informing me that BOTH of my children were being dismissed from the practice. As a parent, I find this incredibly troubling. Patients should be able to respectfully question a bill without feeling that doing so could jeopardize their children's relationship with their healthcare provider. If the doctor disagreed with my concerns, I would have welcomed a conversation and an explanation. After trusting this practice with the care of both of my children, receiving a dismissal letter rather than a phone call was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, handled very unprofessionally. I'm sharing our experience so other parents are aware of what happened when I questioned a charge on my child's bill.

Dr. Ponciroli is wonderful and always takes his time to listen to what we have to say and then help us to understand what our options are moving forward. Our girls love Dr. Ponciroli as well as the rest of the crew at A to Z Pediatrics in Swansea. Everyone is kind and accommodating. You can tell they really understand CHILDREN! The nurse that answered the phone was extremely rude to me upon answering. I didn't hear a response…read moreafter asking for some records to be sent to my sons school so I said "hello?" And she immediately snapped at me and said "I need time to find his record!" She raised her voice to say this. I asked her to please not be so rude and she said I was rude and promptly hung up on me mid sentence. When I called back to ensure my son's record was going to be sent I was on hold for several minutes and was told she had tried to transfer the call, which seemed wrong considering she never mentioned a transfer and I heard the phone slam. I finally reached someone who calmly told me what was wrong and what needed to be done, was told the actual doctor doesn't speak on the phone which isn't true. I've talked to Dr. Johnston on the phone before... definitely recommend going someplace that has people who actually WANT to be at work and can show some professionalism. Great doctor, pretty terrible staff.
