I recently moved to GJ and took both of my pets in for a groom this week. I have an elderly cat and a senior German Shepherd. They did such a wonderful job. My dog has never looked better after visiting a groomer! My kitty was getting awfully matted and they had her done in about 20 minutes. I can tell she is much more comfortable now. They really make sure your animals have as little stress as possible by keeping dogs well separated if needed and schedule kitties at a later time when the shop is quieter. They also take note and let you know of any lumps or bumps they find. Great experience and money well spent! I did have some trouble finding it, it is set back a little from the street, look for the taco truck! On the way there, I got so frazzled from the one way streets and it was rush hour (as much as GJ has one) and it made my kitty throw up in her carrier. I was on the verge of tears and they were so sweet to volunteer to clean out her carrier too! I don't think I can say enough good things about them! Also, one of the reviews says cash or check only, but I used my debit card both times no problem. read more

They got me in very fast and did a great job on my Maltese. Oscar is about 17 years old and when I picked him up he was not stressed and looked GREAT!! I highly recommend Daniel and her staff. read more

Never responded to multiple messages. Quite frustrating to listen to a message bragging about TLC then not get a call back.

My dog was completely shaved and shaved to close for comfort. the cut was uneven and he had blood spots from being nicked. There was no need to shave him nor any discussion prior to shaving off every bit of hair! Ears and all! It was devastating! I didn't even recognize my boy when I picked him up. It was awful! He looked horrible and we were both mortified by the way he looked. He was upset and acted different for many many days. Plus I payed more than I ever had before and they didn't even have to brush him. I'll never go back and do not recommend to anyone, read more

Danielle is great at what she does. She has a cute little place in downtown that is so much less frightening than any of the other mainstream joints for my little ball of fluff. She is very well priced and takes her time with your animal until it is done just right. Cash or Check only. read more

I took my 1 year old yorkie, Jeepers, to Danielle because all her reviews were so good. When I picked up Jeepers after his grooming, he was shaved so close he had razor burn marks all over him. And when I took him for a walk, he cried and cried. I had to take him to the vets because he was hurt from being manhandled at Daniell's shop. I called Danielle and asked her to refund my grooming fee to help pay for the vet bill. She replied, " Do you know how many times people have asked me to pay for their vet bill after coming to my grooming shop? " Then she said she would not reimburse me at all. I was thinking, wow, that's so different from all you perfect reviews. I will never go back to Daniell's Grooming, and I especially do not recommend her for any small dogs. read more

I had high hopes for this place because of the great reviews. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed. A few red flags came up that I was willing to overlook. Fist off I was called to see if I could come in early. No big deal. When I got there the staff was surprised that my dogs didn't have any matting. OK, maybe they see a lot of dogs that are matted. Then I get a call saying they were done earlier. My dogs have never been groomed that quickly. When I picked them up, at first glance they looked OK. I mentioned that to Danielle and she almost seemed shocked. When I got my dogs to my car I started to see how poorly they were groomed. There were clipper lines all over, inconsistent lengths of hair, crooked cut marks. No finish work at all. If you want to spend your money on a quick groomer and don't care much about how they turn out, go here. But if you want a professional groomer, save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Easy to schedule and Danielle did an excellent job. She listened to my instructions and did exactly what I wanted. We will definitely return. read more

Excellent grooming service. Dropped off our two Six year old Goldens And asked for a "short" cut. The groomers did a wonderful job grooming them along with doing their nails all At a Reasonable cost. The boys were very happy when we picked them up. I Will Definitely use TLC grooming by Danielle in the future. read more

We had lived in Grand Junction a month and it was way past time to get the mongrels cut. I called around and Danielle had the most reasonable rates. My two dogs (which are cocker/poodle and cocker/shih tzu) were $35 each. Everywhere else quoted $40-45. Turns out Danielle has owned Angora rabbits in the past which she groomed - check out her pictures! - and has been grooming for about 6 years. After a short talk about what I hoped she'd do to the pups (okay, I'm an over-bearing Mama!!), I left them in her care and 3 short hours later they were both ready! She did a wonderful job - the cuts were exactly as good as the groomer I've grown to trust in Texas (went to her 5 years before moving to Colorado), so I'll definitely be back. Her downtown location with a free parking lot right out front was easy to get to, small, and very welcoming - the dogs were actually excited to be left in her care! And you can't beat the 3 hours it took - my other groomer would have them up to 8 hours some days. Also, I was able to get them in for haircuts the day after I made the call to schedule an appointment. My boy dog got a nice red bandana (none of that sparkly, girly stuff some groomers give boy dogs), and my girl dog got cute little hot pink feathers with rhinestones :) I love it when she comes back from the groomer looking all girly, especially since I know the hair-pretties will be off in about 4 days regardless of how long I want them on there (she likes to roll...) Oh and *gross out alert for the faint of heart* Danielle trims nails, cleans ears, and checks anal glands...which I totally appreciate :) Anyway, sorry for the long review - I paid the right price, my dogs look perfect, it was totally convenient to get in and out (cash or check only, but I'm used to that from my last groomer), and Danielle was a very nice and attentive groomer. So give her a try! read more

After calling another groomer who was booked past Christmas i gave Danielle at TLC Grooming a call and she was able to fit me in the same day! Her pricing was crazy reasonable and she did a wonderful job with my toy Japanese chin/Maltese mix's groom. I am always a nervous wreck when we use somebody new because my dog is TINY but he did great with her. My dog Tokyo was the least freaked out as i have ever seen him when i picked him up from Danielle. Tokyo was the only dog in her office while being groomed which i appreciated. Danielle was done with Tokyo in a little over one hour so that was great too. He had never been so soft and fluffy! I am not sure what shampoo or conditioner she may have used be he looked great and his coat was so smooth. I am sorry to say we do not live in the area otherwise Danielle would be our new groomer. I would absolutely recommend her to others. Thanks for the great groom job on Tokyo! We will be sure to visit again when we are in the area. read more

I went there for the first time and it was such a great experience, the groomer was extremely nice with my dog and patient because he is a little scared of getting groomed. The cost was average for what I normally pay for him. She was able to get him in early than my appointment time which was even better. Thanks y'all for a great job with my dog. Will be returning for sure. read more

I had no problem with getting an appointment with her. She is very friendly and up beat, has pets herself so she really knows how to handle your pet. Pricing is a lot better then most places out there. My dog came out looking like a rock star. read more

Danielle got us in quickly for a bath for our two Boston terriers. She is professional, friendly, and has an excellent demeanor with our dogs (most important to me). Great location, plenty of parking, and fair pricing (I don't have them professionally groomed often, so it seemed fair to me). We will definitely be back and have no problem recommending her to other dog owners! read more

We were in town, camping from Southern California... Our 12-year-old dog lost her bladder overnight, and slept in it... She needed a bath and we had no way to give it to her... I called TLC, they got us in the same day (mind you this was the day after Thanksgiving) .. When I dropped Sophie off, Danielle was there... It was evident her empathy for the animals... They did a great job we picked her up two hours later clean nails trimmed and happy! I cannot recommend them any higher! read more

I can't begin to explain how excited I am to have found Danielle and TLC Grooming. My two girls are very important to me. We recently moved to Grand Junction and finding them a groomer I trust was a big concern. Danielle was so friendly and helpful from our first conversation over the phone. I took my girls into see her and a few hours later they were clean, smelling wonderful, and perfectly groomed. She is also so reasonably priced! My girls found their new groomer! read more

This place is amazing. I called one day ahead of time, said I was driving through the next day and was wondering if I could get my dog groomed first thing in the morning. Most places would laugh and say no way. Here? They made it work. I don't even think they were supposed to be open that day. My dog instantly took a liking to Danielle, always a good sign, and he was finished in under an hour and a half. He looked great and was in a good mood afterwards, which is not something I can say for every groomer he has been to. If I lived in the area I would be a repeat customer. read more

I have never been to TLC Grooming before, but I called last minute this morning (Saturday) and Danielle squeezed (squoze?) my labrador in for a bath. It took just over an hour and when I came back my dog was GORGEOUS. She was shiny, smelled delicious and had a cute pink and purple bandana. It was everything and more that I could hope for. I appreciate her willingness to arrange her schedule for us and the excellent service Danielle provides. She's sweet and even sweeter to the pups. I paid $25 for the wash and blowdry and she did the glands, ears and checked her nails too. Thank you, Danielle! read more

We took our small shaggy dog to Danielle after I visited with her on the phone and became convinced she would take good care of our dog. He had some back surgery and an ACL repair last summer so I was concerned about who would work on him. In an hour and a half he was done. That was so terrific. I have never had a groomer get the dog back home so quickly. Her rates were good and he looked terrific. Our Teddy dog was waiting quietly for me when I came to pick him up. Usually he is just frantic to leave but not at her place. We will definitely go back. I have already told friends about her place. [The bandana made my tough guy look like a sissy, but he looked absolutely great.] read more

I have nothing but praise for Danielle. She called me to let me know she was moving to a new location, I told her one of my dogs was having surgery in 3 days and would really like to have him groomed before the surgery, She let me bring my dog in the next day (she was still in the process of moving in) and did a great job on both of my dogs. I have always been impressed with her service and prices, but this service went above and beyond great service. Thank you Danielle!! read more

Danielle was very concerned that Jacob the German Shepherd have the best possible experience at TLC. She needn't have worried--he loved it! Clean, beautiful, pleasant-smelling, happy dog = happy family! We'll be visiting Danielle again... and again... read more

Danielle is so great with our lil furry boys. She does a great job and have now used her for a few cuts. They look so cute when we come pick them up. If you are looking for a place to get your puppies trimmed and bathed, give Danielle a call, she will not disappoint! read more

Thank Yelp for finding this groomer for my sheep dog. The staff at TLC provides not only TLC, but great results. My icelandic sheep dog is happy and soft and smells good when she gets home. My biggest concern is the happy part. I've spent time watching the staff interact with other animals while picking up and they really care and seem to treat the clients like their own kids. They have moved to a new location off Pitkin with more room. read more

I took my Yorkie for grooming to TLC by Danielle. Right afterward, he was shaking, and cried several times. The next morning, he was in such distress that I took him to the vet. I was told he had a soft tissue injury. I called Danielle and related my story and requested she pay for the vet bill. She said, "do you know how many people have called me and told me they had to take their dog to the vet after I groomed them?" No, can't say that I know the answer, but that doesn't sound good. It took several months before my Yorkie was not terrified if I touched him. Small dog owners beware! read more

I took my black lab Ninja in there and Danielle was so loving and caring towards him. She did an amazing job that was quick and very affordable. Ninja is now the softest thing in the house... read more

We were visitors to Colorado and called Danielle to have our dog groomed. She was going away for the week end but came in Saturday morning so we could have our dog done. We also, had another bathed and another's nails clipped... ie. 3 dogs. Our impression when we walked in to the time we picked up our dogs which were done beautifully in a reasonable time was that she has a true love for animals, and loves what she does. We were very happy with the cut she gave our dog and her price was very reasonable. If she were near our home town I would be a regular. If she could get 10 stars, I would give it to her. read more
