I brought "Silky"my 7 lb Prague Ratter dog in because I was pretty sure she was having seizures. The vet tried to convince me it was low blood sugar and to give her snacks before bed. We tried that for 2 weeks and she was still having episodes that I was absolutely sure were seizures. The vet recommended Keppra and told me it was very safe with really no side effects. We saw no difference for 2 weeks so he recommended raising her dosage. No where in there did he recommend seeing her again for monitoring. After about a month on this med, she seemed to be showing some improvement. We took her to a discount spay neuter clinic to get spayed and because she was over 5 years old, that clinic insisted on doing bloodwork first. Thank GOD they did. They called and said that they couldn't do the surgery because she was anemic and recommended that she be seen by a regular vet. I immediately took Silky to my long time vet that we used before we decided that All Pets was more conveniently located. He redid the bloodwork and said that if she was any worse, he would have done a transfusion and that the Keppra medicine was the cause since it was the ONLY thing in her life that had changed since All Pets did the bloodwork before they prescribed the Keppra. If she hadn't had bloodwork that day, she likely would have died within the week and we would have had no idea why. I called All Pets and asked if they would cover the costs of the weekly tests that will be necessary until Silky gets back on safe ground and they refused. They said that since Anemia isn't listed on Keppras list of side effects, that they won't cover it. It only took me one question on google to find out that anemia CAN be a side effect of this medicine. They have seen no less than EIGHT of our dogs and we will NEVER go back! read more

I think I've left a review for these folks before but it was because of their cheap boarding prices This review is for the fact that today was possibly the hardest day of my life, but because of their professionalism and competence, it became one of my happiest days. My 13 year old dachshund has a heart murmur (which they diagnosed a couple years ago), had infected teeth that needed to be removed but putting her under anesthesia was risky - they didn't have to tell me that (but they reminded me). The nurse handed me Kleenex as I dropped my baby off this morning, said, "hey - we're all dog owners here - we get it." THEN they called me before surgery to explain it was even more risky than we'd originally thought - Peanut has an enlarged heart and a couple of high liver numbers. They let me hang up, call my husband, and call them back with the decision to go ahead with the tooth extractions, and as soon as Peanut was out of anesthesia the vet called to let me know she was doing okay - I bawled all over again. The vet was SO KIND - all the times I must've been barely intelligible she was compassionate but honest about all of the risks and now, as I type this, I have my baby on my lap recovering well. They sent me home with a handful of meds but they took the time to explain each one for me. I'm confident they added time to my dog's life and that when it really is Peanut's time to go, they'll be the ones who handle her passing with grace and compassion. I've been taking our mini golden doddle here for about a year and everyone has always been super friendly and professional. I also had to bring my cat in and they got me in same day. I was 15 late to the appointment due to my cat not getting into the crate and being hurt and coming from work and they still saw me. I was overwhelmed with emotion i'm so thankful they saw us. The docs are knowledgeable and really explain things well. They don't over price and don't make you get vaccines that are necessary!! read more

They were never given permission to run my husband's debit card or keep the number on file. Well they did and didn't do anything to fix it at the time. This is fraud. My senior dog, Kona has been having problems with arthritis, and the pain was making it hard for her to go for walks and move around. Dr. Summers worked with me to find the best pain management for her, and now, three days later, Kona is moving around so much better, and she wants to go on longer walks! Her hobby is sniffing where other critters have walked up here in the mountains, and she's doing so much more of that now! We have been using all All Pets' Center for nearly 20 years now. Each of the vets have their own specialty but cover routine animal care as well. Dr. Asmus will present information in a scientific way, but then explain it in layman's terms. He often prefaces advice by saying, "if this pet were my family then I'd..." and you know that he really is giving his heartfelt opinion about the situation. I believe felines are his area of expertise because he loves them so much. Dr. Kronkright is excellent as well and I believe he is a bird man. There's a new veterinarian who purchased the practice, but I have not worked with him yet. The doctors here are conservative with regard to surgery. They are kind and easy to talk to and will do whatever is necessary for the health of an animal. The staff is personable, kind, and empathetic. The vet techs are the best. They will do whatever is needed to put you at ease. As another reviewer stated, it is not a boarding facility per se, but I chose to leave my animals at All Pets because the staff knew their medical conditions so well and I knew my fur babies would be getting excellent care. Dr Asmus and the entire staff at All Pets are amazing. The care that my lab/border collie Doc received after he was diagnosed with cancer (hemangiosarcoma) was incredible. Dr Asmus is very thorough but not afraid to tell you what he might do in your situation. In my case, he had a family member who had gone through a similar disease and was able to guide me through the different stages and prepare me for what to expect. I've had my dog for over 11 years, and brought him to many different veternarian's offices. If I'm honest, I have always hated going to the vet because it's generally an opportunity for any Veternarian to raid my wallet. Dr. Asmus and crew are different. The crew is kind and genuine, and they take the time to discuss what your pet needs, rather than what would financially enrich them. I brought my 11 year old Lab / Collie mix in for a dental consultation after being told that my dog needed around a $1,000 worth of dental work by another vet. However, Dr. Asmus told me that the teeth in question (to be removed) were not lose as (another vet told me they were loose and needed to be extracted). They provided an estimate with a range of costs depending on the number of teeth to be extracted, and the dental work was completed in a professional manner within the estimate. Dr. Asmus even took the time to show me the x-rays when I went to pick up the dog. These are professional, good-hearted people, and they took great care of my dog.
