I moved here in Oct 2024 and TLC in Adrian has been helpful every time I have needed them whether it be online, on the phone or in person. Everyone has been friendly and very accommodating. Being new to the area I wanted to select a CU that would service every need and provide me information when needed. Not only have they done that but they have gone above and beyond with providing additional information that would help me down the road with my investing when the time comes. I rarely have to ask for help because mostly everything I need can be done online. I go in when I have questions that otherwise may take some time online. I had financial difficulties almost 10 years ago now anyhow this place closed my checking account and now I cannot ever bank with them ever again. I think it shows like 38 dollars on my credit report still? Yeah this is another reason why financial education is a must. They didn't ask me or confront me or offer any kind of help. I'm with Huntington bank since 1997 and they helped me after my husband died from cancer with a revolving line of credit. This helped me so much and I'm so grateful to them. TLC could learn more about helping their customers not causing them more grief. read more

I have been a member since 1992. Never had a negative experience. They have always been positive and friendly.

Took $500 out of their ATM and it gave me all in $20 bills. Went inside to exchange some for hundred dollar bills and they said no exchanges unless you were a member. Now that's ridiculous. read more

I have had nothing but great dealings with TLC, since moving to Adrian from Grand Rapids in 1981 when the Meijer opened. I had been with the Meijer Credit Union since 1971, so I knew how Credit Unions operated, and it was more accessible now that I lived in this community. My wife and I have had multiple loans through TLC, from autos through home, with always a lower interest rate than banks. I have always been treated with dignity and respect from all employees. whether at a window or in an office. I promote TLC as a great institution to keep money in, to our children and friends alike, because we truly are members, and not customers. Instead of profits going to shareholders, WE are the shareholders, and the profit is returned to us, in the form of higher savings rates, and lower loan interest rates. Who could ask for anything more. read more

Rating of 0 is more appropriate. Worst credit Union to use. Good luck logging in to check your accounts though to see what they are charging you. Want a statement, they charge $3.00. Now that they charge a fee they'll even send them monthly. Want to cancel the statements, don't plan to on line. Have an idle account, I've seen people charged as much as $5.00 per month at TLC. Crazy over draw fees with no notice

Wife and I stopped into TLC in Blissfield recently to pay off her auto loan due to us being locked out frequently as we did not log in often enough since we had everything set up so we never missed a payment. We were helped by Donte Howard, who was very personable and helpful. We found Donte to be very pleasant to converse with and helpful with the issue of stopping our auto money transfer from our major banking institution to TLC. I wish to take a moment to express our view that we need more people like Donte in customer service EVERYWHERE. They are getting rich off charging $28.00 per transaction on overdraft! They used to deposit the entire overdraft amount into your account and charge one service charge which was still steep. But now they've just gotten greedy! They charge per increment. The rich get richer... read more

If I could, I would give them a zero. After 20 years of being a member of this bank, they tell me I can no longer deposit checks with the company name on them. We are a proprietor and it is perfectly legal to do this. When I wrote to them and let them know, they said they would disable my mobile deposit feature. Do you believe this ? They never give good customer service and they seem to do everything they can not to give good customer service. If you want to keep your blood pressure down, DO NOT join this particular credit union. They are the WORST bank. This is all just my opinion, but it is true. read more

One the worst banks I've dealt with in more than 50 years. Not senior friendly, renege on promises made, hold direct deposits for days, half their staff un-friendly, some their executives dishonest, not at all helpful, all in all sorry I ever met them. As the saying goes " buyer beware". read more

Can you imagine working 40 hours a week at a job and earning a paycheck and then being denied access to your money? Well that's what happens when you trust TLC bank with your money . Always a surprise never a phone call or message 9f any kind. Just randomly go to make a purchase and have my funds denied. My husband went to withdraw money at an ATM and was told that his funds were restricted. Upon further investigation I was told that a $27.67 purchase at a local gas station within 2 miles down the road from my house (that we frequent. almost daily) was deemed "suspicious"/fraudulent. Why would that be suspicious!? Why would that warrant me not being able to spend my own money. I have had, access to my debit card turned off, restricted, and blocked on two separate occasions due to charges being flagged as fraudulent. In both instances this was super inconvenient, and the activity that was deemed fraudulent nonsense. It highly inconvenience me and my family on several occasions. Imagine being on low fuel and stopping at a gas station right after payday or right after you know there's been a deposit in your account and being told that you're not allowed to spend your own money. And mrs. Purely based on somebody's interpretation of fraudulent activity on my account? I am an adult my husband and I are more than capable of monitoring our bank account for fraudulent activity this is disrupted Our Lives. We have children a mortgage vehicles are funds and finances should not be restricted when we've trusted Institution with our pay checks. If it can happen to me it can happen to you. It will always be at the most inconvenient time and both times in my experience it has been nonsense baseless fraudulent activity and upset my family greatly. read more

Maria is wonderful. I had issues with x box charging my credit card month after month and she got it all sorted out. Has helped me with all sorts of stuff. Every time I come in she treats my 100 dollar transaction like it was a 10000 dollar very important transaction. On two separate occasions I have seen people standing in line and letting others go ahead so they can have her as their teller. She gets things done. Remembers you and is super nice in the process. read more

Our business recently relocated to TLC after our bank was sold to a larger company. I couldn't be happier with them! The customer service is unheard of. Derek and john both came out to our site to make sure our visa machine was installed and working properly and has immediately called us back or personally showed up to be sure any problems are quickly resolved. Not to mention the fees are the most reasonable around. So nice to have a local bank that takes great care of us small businesses.
