Overall, it seems pretty nice, but on my initial visit (set-up) I didn't stay too long. They have two separate machines and free weight areas, two areas where you can use treadmills or ellipticals, and then the walking track that the woman who showed me around said 16 laps equal a mile. The pool is closed on Tuesday until 9:00 AM and so I stuck to working out on machines for this visit. There wasn't a lot of people there so that is a good thing to me, nothing worse for a gym than an overcrowded gym.

A nice young woman gave me a tour of the facilities and I was able to sign up for a low monthly fee. I couldn't believe what was included; Two huge lap pools, workout equipment, classes I can choose from, spin classes, and a walking track, sauna and a Jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is down at the moment but they are working on it. The locker room and bathrooms were so clean, I was very impressed. I dove in and did my first 14 laps and it felt so good. The whole fitness area was very clean. Can't wait for the next visit.

The staff is pretty friendly and when I had a trainer, she was very skilled and professional. They are also pretty quick at repairing/replacing faulty equipment. Although, I will say that it was disappointing for them to remove the massage beds and leave the steam room broken(for years) after increasing rates. This doesn't bother me but some also complain that there isn't a pool available. O2 gives me what I need so I'm satisfied but they consider correcting the downsides that I mentioned.

I'm a member of the Golds in Germantown, MD. I passed this Golds on my way in so I wanted to see if I could workout here with my existing membership. Predictably, I couldn't. Turned out I needed something called a "passport" from my main gym. How I would even know to obtain that, I don't know. They told me I'd need to pay either $15 for a "day pass" or $40 for a week pass. I thought the week pass would provide the best value since I planned on working out multiple days a week. Helpful hint before paying--any--gym for a temp pass: WALK THE GYM. Had I done that, I would have seen that: - 2 out of 3 squat racks were busted - The equipment was old enough to easily see rust - The equipment was outdated - Some equipment had no "starting weight" listed - Some of the stretching and warm-up equipment was locked up - Heeeeavy on the sausage Of course they wouldnt give me a refund in typical gym fashion. Shame on me for not getting a feel for this place first. The next day I went to Strength and Body in Greensboro with a friend and that gym blew this Golds into orbit. It had new and premium body building equipment, multiple rooms for multiple things, a seamless, quick guest system, and ALL the equipment was in working order. Next time I'm down here I'll definitely skip this Golds, pay more, and go workout with the soccer moms and housewives at O2. But I have no doubt my experience will be better and I won't need a tetanus shot after using the equipment.

I am a brand new member so I can't say too much about a total experience but I can offer a first-hand new comer experience. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful in getting me started with my membership. This is one if the few gyms back open from the COVID-19 shut-downs. I am a YMCA Silver Sneakers member but of course they have been closed for several months so I looked into joining this gym. My membership is included with my healthcare but I can tell you that their prices are competitive with the other local gyms. Additionally, this location is offering 24/7 access with security for $5/month which can be a plus to some. For more details, I will include a picture of the handout I was given at this location. The women's locker room: The locker room has mirrors, showers, bathroom stalls, lockers, a sauna, and benches with changing space. Everything was very clean and tidy. Classes, equipment/accessories, and gym extras: This gym does offer classes but I have not attended them. There are towels and mats available for use, as well as tanning but at an extra cost monthly. There are post workout drinks also available with varying costs. The gym is quite spacious with lots of cardio machines and weight lifting machines, free-weights, balls, kettlebells, and other various equipment/accessories available.
