The only size they have in stock is a medium. Sad face. The TV was off. The jukebox springs to life unprompted reminding us that it was there. We each had 2 beer and one shot. Or ticket was $18.50. At the bar I work for it would have been $26.50. The outdoor space had been cleaned up. The old bar was removed. The food shack had been cleaned out. The covered area opened up. Although the scaffolding was still present and probably holding the roof up. The lawn area inside the enclosure was groomed. The access to the grassy area outside by the bayou was restricted and still overgrown. Edit to add. The lawn closest to the property is cleaned up. The grass closest to the bayou is not.

Appropriately named! I'm an admirer of architecture and this place is impressive! It's a vintage space in pristine condition! Nicely designed, decorated, and very well maintained. A small venue, only 400 seats (love that!), but there's even more to it. There's a lovely lounge with tables of 4 that seats about 50 people that's so inviting. Food and drinks are avaliable at some events. You can even rent the space for private events! This gentleman in the red shirt is the owner and talent scout. I believe his name is Will (?). Very personable and more people need to know about this gem of a venue and him! He's got something really special going here that I hope more people will learn about, share, and support. Do not let this one get away, Louisiana! I cannot fail to mention Corporal J. Tilley who was on site for security. Not really needed from what I could see: this place is classy and the patrons are respectable and respectful. But I guess security is nice to have at any live event, if for nothing more than to make guests feel comfortaable and reassured. I don't believe I have ever met a more friendly or personable law enforcement officer. I would have taken a picture with him too if it were allowed (I tried). We conversed quite a bit and he even offered to take photos of and for me. What a nice man and a pleasure to talk to. A legitimate, yet intimate, small-to-medium sized live music and event venue such as this gorgeously renovated old tire garage which just had its formal opening for Music Prize Live on June 20th, 2019! I myself, was just back from the beautiful beaches of Alabama, sunburned, slightly tired, and I still had an absolute hoot in this here place. My friends and I jammed to visiting Nashville bands, Airpark, and *repeat repeat. It was an enjoyable time to be certain. I am looking very much forward to the future events, and the endless possibilities of this place in the near and far future. I am especially looking forward to the 2019 Louisiana Prize (Film, Food, and of course Music!!) Fest this Fall, which will undoubtedly use this space well, in addition to other locations. Shreveport is growing again, culturally, and very much so in the right direction. This garage shows this growth. And on some nights soon, you'll be able to hear that growth as well!!

The music genre rotates from country and western to Cajun Zydeco to 80s rock . No hip hop music. There are four or five breweries in a row. Sometimes, on weekends, there's a big concert in the back ally. It's called Hurricane Ally. It is a sophisticated ally/entertainment complex (check website for line-up). Often there is also smaller Music offerings in each brewery. On weekdays, it is more classy. There is usually music two or three nights during weekdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the most common days for music, but sometimes they also have music on Monday and Wednesdays. Check the website for the lineup. The midweek music is usually more sophisticated.... a high-quality musician playing a guitar or keyboard. Jimmie Wooten and Haley Brook are 2 of my favorites. The Smash Burger at Seventh Tap is outstanding if you are hungry. This is just a great place to sit back and relax, enjoy good food, drink, and music and have an enjoyable time.

Lots and lots of people here, especially on summer weekends. For those maybe not from the south, the heat and certainly the humidity might seem overwhelming as this is an outdoor live music venue. Most of the acts seem to be cover bands but also mostly, they seem to hail from the Dallas Metroplex and are actually quite good. Honestly, these Dallas area cover bands, or tribute bands as some are called, are almost as good as the bands they are covering or paying tribute to. Seriously. And at my age and at this point in my life (cough, lazy, cough, cheapskate) I'd rather see these bucket list bands in cover form here for free than pay beaucoup bucks to see the real deal, probably in Dallas. Recently, I saw the Maroon 5 cover band from Dallas, Animals, close out the summer season here, and they were outstanding. I don't even really like Maroon 5 that much but these guys in Animals were just spectacular. Sounded just like the cd or radio. I mean, just like it. And what a crowd for that one. Packed. Bossier loves its cover bands. Hurricane Alley is safe and makes for an enjoyable night out. Food and drinks are readily available for purchase at these all-ages events. BeauJax Crafthouse and Frozen Pirogue are right there. Fridays and Saturdays these free shows go from 7pm to 11pm. Parking in the lots around the venue is free. There's also a huge outdoor flatscreen tv on the wall showing any major sporting event. Just be prepared to stand for the duration, unless you bring your own chair, which you also can do. Being outdoors here, it's also nice for me to smoke a good cigar while enjoying these bands. I hope they can bring an Arcade Fire cover band from Dallas here soon. Or a tribute band for The Cars or The Police.
