Contracted with Home Elevator of Texas to repair my residential elevator. They came out three…read moreweeks ago and got it up and running but couldn't get the lights on inside the elevator - citing poor design of having the fuse at a place that one repair person couldn't reach and that he would need a second person to assist with the final repair. I was to be on the schedule the next week and never heard from HET again. I called and was told that the repair person had an emergency and couldn't finish the repair (which i completely understood). I was told it would be the next week...never heard from HET again! I called and was told...we have you on the schedule for this Thursday (3 weeks after the initial repair). I took off from work but got a call today saying they couldn't find a repairman. I explained that I was already on the schedule and the scheduler told me "I don't know why they did that..." Very frustrated and upset at the overall lack of care and follow through for a company that seem to have many positive reviews. Use a different vendor for your services! Stay away!!!!

We were able to get him out to install a brace on the house for the lift after several attempts From that point on nothing. He has had 3 months to get this lift ordered, but discovered that he can't get any material. He kept telling us it would be in " next week " for weeks now. I told him to get me the vendor's name and purchase order, he did not provide either. My only conclusion is that we have been scammed. I discovered on YELP , we are not his only victims. He has other businesses, which l am guessing has been operating in the same manner. We are an elderly couple that really can't move our belongings to the living quarters on the second floor as our first floor is mainly the garage. I had two other elevator companies come out to look at my 20+ year old elevator that was constantly malfunctioning. Hundreds of dollars to these "experts" and the problem persisted. HET came out and diagnosed the problem, with precision, in less than an hour. I was amazed at the level of knowledge possessed by the technician. He came back a few weeks later with a replacement part and fixed the elevator. It has never worked better. The technicians couldn't be more professional and their prices cannot be beat. They also don't charge for ridiculous add-ons (mileage, gas, lunch, etc.) that some of the other companies want to charge you for no good reason.
